I show you how to fix a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (will work on Tab S4 and Tab S5 as well) that has a black screen of death, won't restart, won't boot, can't boot, screen won't turn on, screen is blank, can't see display, frozen, unresponsive, etc without taking anything apart.

I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

Could use a little more why answers love your thing please do a samsung login eliminator using an actual s5 tablet please i looked at alot of videos using cell phones and no talking explanation and I catn see the screens and their thumbs are in the way and it just gave me a headache lol I look forward to your response

i was so pissed i had a screen problem. half the screen would look like one of those optical illusion black and white images. then it would not turn on. i could still hear sounds and after many reboots and massaging the back of the tablet to try and press the ribbon connection, the screen works again. for now... should i send it in for repair?

Its probably not your screen just a cable or battery issue

I have a tab s4 that won't turn on I tried all of these and even cleaned the charging port just to be sure. It turned on for literally 2 seconds and than turned right back off and nothing works I guess I will take off the back glass later wish me luck 😅

And then recharge it
After 8 months my tablet came back from the dead
It was truly the black screen of death
Everything I tried to fix it failed
I'm glad I didn't throw out the tablet
I have tab s5e and it has been about 8 months since its screen stopped working like it became inactive, I couldn't use it and I tried almost all the techniques on youtube and none worked. I wasss sooo worried. Right now I am recharging it and hopefully it works. Is your tab an S5e?

Its 2023, i dropped my tab s6 (T085). Screen popped up , pushed it in, and black screen of death. For 6 months didnt use my tablet. Did research and landed on this video. I was on the verge of paying $330 SGD for a lcd replacement. Lo and behold, God guided me here. Alhamdulillah tried the pressure method, and VOILA! ITS ALIVE. THANK YOU SO MUCH

It still doesn't work, but my father always knows a way how to do it. (I have it when I start my tablet, its 0% and when it turns off. It doesn't work even when I had it on the "juice" so yeah..
If it doesn't go past 0 it's just a bad cable or plug your using

If none of these work put your device on charge if it shows the "samsung tab powered by android" but doesnt say samsung after 10 mins put it on charge with the "samsung tab powered by android" for 12 or more hours then if it still fails to work get an AC/DC us charging brick 5v 1.5a and plug the charging cable into your device and the usb end into the brick needed put a uk charging port adapter on the prongs of the us brick and plug it all in then if the screen turns on then hold down the power button and the bottom volume rocker for 20 seconds then hold down the power button for 20 seconds it should turn on. as

I had the weirdest thing happen to my tablet, and thank god your first method worked, but i updated my new tablet this morning, i then went to turn it on and the screen was bugging out like if the screen was broken and cracked everywhere. TRY THIS IF YOU HAVE THE TABLET IN A CASE!
Try to use the tablet without any case. If the problem seems to disappear, I might just have the answer for you!
Most flip cases have some small magnets in them to make sure the case stays closed. Now most high end tablets have proximity sensors and these little magnets can trick them thinking the case is closed and the tablet goes into sleep mode.
If this is the problem, than the solution is dead simple!
Just go into your tablet settings, and search for accessories.
For samsung tablets with One UI, you will find this in settings, advanced settings then acceccories.
There you will find the option for the sleep/wake feature. Turn it off, and your tablet shall stop randomly going blank!
I hope this will help some of you out there, I found this out by myself but the problem surely gave me a lot of headaches before it, so you might as well save yourselves from that part!

Hey I have a S6 bought it year ago. I left it to charge and suddenly half of the screen got black and white stripes. And afte unlocking display touch works and I shut it down and after some time issue kinda got better and then again came up. Did what you said. Tap it on the back and massaged it. And I feel it's heating near pen connect area

Thanks, the tab 3 fell down, screen was flikering, took it to samsung they said pay up 300$ to change screen & another 300 for motherboard as its heating up. But thst guy did manage to start the black screen & said it will run for a week & go blank again

I just received the tab from Amazon. There's a weird red line right across the middle of the display. I'm so disappointed.

Tried all that except taking the back off. It doesn't work. Tablet is only a year and two weeks old. Had a year warranty on it. Very disapointed.

Awesome fix for Galaxy Tab A 10.1 , I heard the camera click so knew it was working, a few , maybe 6 or 7, taps against my palm on the back and up came the screen. Many thanks. The issue was caused by child sitting on the Tab accidentally when it was underneath a cushion.
