I worked at a resort he recorded several episodes from in the 80's. One of his crew made a mistake and he stood in the lobby screaming at the top of his lungs, red faced, and cussing up a storm. Definitely not Christian behavior.

At least he stood up and publicly admitted what he did wrong. Most people would not do that. I've known plenty of people that cheated on their spouse. I haven't seen any of them go on national television, own up to what they did and ask for forgiveness. I think he did the right thing. Preachers are human beings like anyone else. The enemy sent his agent to distract the man of God, because he knew that Bro Swaggart was shaking his kingdom through the authenticity of the Word of God. But alas, the enemy failed. Brother Swaggart repented, just like David, and got up, and continued serving the Lord, God Almighty with all his might. Not only that, he has his family (fire brand) serving the Lord and leading in God's ministry. The fact of the matter is that we must not dwell on a person falling down, but focus our attention to what happened after they fell down. Did they get up, dust themselves, and run to God, or did they stay down, and perish? (1Corinthians @) I pray that the eyes of many become enlightened, and open widely to see how many souls has been grafted into the Kingdom of God through the ministry of Bro Swaggart.
