To be honest the episode wasn’t the worst out of the second half. The animation was pretty great, but me and my gf were laughing at how bad the writing was in most of the scenes. We really liked fiore and Alec. Alec and Fiore were the highlight here, and much as I was annoyed at Riya & Jake as finalists I felt the finale handled the ending well as it could've. Jake winning on top of getting a spinoff and having this entire season be ALL about him would've been too much so having him come up short but finding fulfillment in the bonds he made and getting back with Tom felt like victory in itself. By contrast Riya got what she wanted, she got the victory and the cash but it came at the ultimate price. Her pushing everyone away and really slashing at every connection she ever had hit its head as she realized she can't just "blame it on the persona" and in spite of victory ends up alone with this monster who nobody likes being the example her sister sees.

And this plot got no real development until his elimination in episode 12 where he tells Jake he'll "clear the air." Timeskip to episode 19 and now he's ready to confess and it's all shoved into the last finale episode. He and Jake didn't even SPEAK in episode 20 from what I remember...I wish they'd paced this better was all. Not to mention she had the lingering guilt of corrupting eesha which is surely to be season 4 due to her camerasona taking over for the great majority of the competition
I don't like Riya at all but even I felt bad for her ending alone, even if it was deserved. She caused it herself and she had until the very last minute to fix it, but she still choose the fame. Connor gave her the last chance until the very end. But something that makes me curious its that, imagine if Jake won instead? Not only Riya would be alone but also everything she did was for nothing. She lost everything, her morals, her friends, her dignity, people's respect, for nothing. Everybody would've cheer that she had lost again and she wouldn't even know if there's someone left that would support her in this moment. Riya's ending at least had her money, which she can do good things with it like charity or helping her family even if she's lonely. But a part of me is curious about what type of route Riya would go if she actually lost 2nd place again. A Riya spin off seems like a good idea if they want her to redeem herself. Like Connor himself said, Riya (and Yul) were the only ones who choose to not change, but Riya's conscious that her actions were wrong and that she could've done different, she could've still be a villain but without going too far like Gabby and Grett did, but she choose the crueless path herself, now she's paying for it.
Everyone really dunking on the TomJake series when those two are the only couple with any real issues to fix- No really, Ally & Hunter managed to patch things up in the end, Gabellie & Jaiden are PERFECTION, Kai x Maggy & Wishley did everything offscreen… am I missing any couples? No?
The problem with Jake and Tom we already had to deal with them for two seasons. So, them out of all characters to get a spin-off series isn't my favorite. It makes sense why they chose them, since they are popular characters, but would prefer other characters that didn't get much focus. But absolutely fine with people being excited for this spinoff series.
Riya, Grett, and Alec are all examples of characters playing the game how it should be played! I’m not mad about Riya winning. She stayed out of love drama and kept her eyes on the prize. I honestly wish she was the one getting the spin off.
I would argue that the one playing the game how it’s supposed to be played. The best is actually Grett…Alec played it well too but Riya definitely would not have been in the finals if it weren’t for her massive plot armor (wins gem collecting contest without collecting any gems). In addition, although her goal was always the prize, I am not sure her violent actions (some of them may have cost a few lives) constitute "how the game is supposed to be played"
@@miyamura_kin9349literally Riya's actually good play were far in between villains alliance carried her up till ep 13 till it started to fall apart then comes ally villain arc which saved her elim in ep 15 and from then she won every challenge from ep 17 till finale for stupid reasons they clearly wanted her to go so far The only occasion were she was potentially eliminated was ep 16 if grett targeted her instead but i guess they went with Alec

I hated how vanessa did not voice grett this episode AT ALL
Everyone really dunking on the TomJake series when those two are the only couple with any real issues to fix-
No really, Ally & Hunter managed to patch things up in the end, Gabellie & Jaiden are PERFECTION, Kai x Maggy & Wishley did everything offscreen… am I missing any couples?
TREVEK 💀 THEY NEVER EVEN STARTED DATING YET OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED
That’s the thing: ‘everyone’ doesn’t want couple’s drama
riya didn’t even deserve that ending :(
No one gonna talk about how horrible of a person Krystal is😭
Yes I know Jake Lost But jake have Something that ryia Don't He have Friends And they respect him
im thinking of stopping watching disventure camp after this finale which, eww why?
Riya was a game player, Jake was there by dumb luck. Tbh Riya deserved it.
Riya, Grett, and Alec are all examples of characters playing the game how it should be played! I’m not mad about Riya winning. She stayed out of love drama and kept her eyes on the prize. I honestly wish she was the one getting the spin off.
Grett vs Alec would have been a cool finale
I would argue that the one playing the game how it’s supposed to be played. The best is actually Grett…Alec played it well too but Riya definitely would not have been in the finals if it weren’t for her massive plot armor (wins gem collecting contest without collecting any gems). In addition, although her goal was always the prize, I am not sure her violent actions (some of them may have cost a few lives) constitute "how the game is supposed to be played"
@@miyamura_kin9349literally Riya's actually good play were far in between villains alliance carried her up till ep 13 till it started to fall apart then comes ally villain arc which saved her elim in ep 15 and from then she won every challenge from ep 17 till finale for stupid reasons they clearly wanted her to go so far
The only occasion were she was potentially eliminated was ep 16 if grett targeted her instead but i guess they went with Alec
