Hey, I'm just saying... LOL!
I can't tell what I'm doing incorrectly... Do you know why the knoll light factory seems to randomly work? Sometimes it animates and other times it's just a still (whether I'm using an image or a video clip).
I sent you a video response. It's the first time I've done a video response too. Anyway, I made it based off of one of your Avid Studio tutorials. Each laser effect was a little different simply because I like to try something different each time. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the great tutorials, Neil
is there a mirror effect? I'm trying to make an effect where the right side of the screen is the same as the left side. the clip is a guy doing a backflip and i want him to flip into himself but i can't make this happen.

Thanks for the tip about Camtasia 7. The videos were blurry after being rendered and exported. I think I have resolved the issue. It seems Pinnacle perfers to be given AVI files with Xvid encoding at 1920x1024 (odd size) at 24fps. Other export settings look great in the original, but fuzz out when rendered in P16. Anyway, these new input settings have cleared things up. Thanks, you have been a great help! Keep up the good work, I will be back to watch more of your excellent tutorials!

when I do that, only option which comes is ''effects'' (-> remove). Is there any other way?
when i open the effects editor , another screen opens up and i do not have the add ons option. i have pinnacle studio 17.5 ultimate.

I have pin 18 ultimate. In Pinn 15 I could select all files on timeline and add an audio effect to them all at once. I do not see how to do it in 18. When I select all it only adds the effect to one file even though all are selected. Is there a secret as to how to do it?
+jeffphilips You can't apply audio effects/corrections to multiple clips. You can't copy and paste them to multiple audio clips either. :-(
Thanks for the reply! I am using WonderShare Demo Creator (latest rev). I can render in AVI, MPEG, Windows Media, etc. The videos created by Wondershare are Sharp as a tack, captured at 1920 x 1024, you can read even the smallest print. Once loaded into Pinnacle 16 and used for creating a video, I suspect there is something going on during compression that makes them all fuzzy. What did you use for screen capturing your Pinnacle Shots for your videos? They certainly seemed clear enough.
How do you Put A photo over your video? I would like to screen capture some comments and overlay it the the side the video im making. But i dont know how. Can you explain?

I have been assigned to make tutorials for the software my company produces. While my captured computer screen videos are clear and sharp (AVI, 1920x1024), they become blurry when used in Pinnacle. Your computer screen video is quite clear. How did you do that?

I want to create cool effects like you, I know some come with Pinnacle but you said you got other effects from somewhere else, like the fire. Can you give me like a link Orr something. Also, I'm new at this, so what's the difference between Pinnacle and Avid studio?

These videos are inspiring, I am considering upgrading to Pinnacle 19 Ultimate. I'm using a much older version which allows me to add my own CD music to my timeline. I really like this feature as a hobbyist and wonder if I can still do that in 19? I have read the pdf manual and watched the videos but see nothing about being about to use them in my movies? Have they gotten rid of that feature?

i finally got the add-ons to work, but my only options are cosmos,magic bullet, & mojo. i do not have the knoll light factory one. i would like to have the glow ball effect like you have in this video.
Try resetting the software by following the instructions on my site. www.pinnaclestudiopro.com/resetting-pinnacle-studio-17/
If that doesn't work try downloading the content exe file again.

I have Studio 17 Ultimate, but with the exception of one particular effect, every time I used the Red Giant Effects, my machine would crash. It would just freeze, which was frustrating. I brought this up to Pinnacle and they had one patch/fix on Red Giant, but that didn't work. I have a new computer the latest software so it shouldn't be my computer. I do like pinnacle products so I have just purchased Studio 18 Ultimate. Hopefully, Pinnacle will FIX the Red Giant Effects so they will render and not crash the software!

Thanks subbing. :-) I don't think you can download that particular one for free but you can get free fire (flame thrower fire, explosions, etc.) from Detonation Films website. The link to the site is in the video description. Just click the 'Show More" button below the video.

I'm trying to make the fire in my eyes stay there even if I move my head. Is there a way to enable the keyframes to track the movement like you did with the gun flare? Also I'm not sure I have the crazy tools is that an add on purchase somewhere ? Thank u :)
The clips I used in the Crazy tools video are just some clips I got from Digital Juice.
You have to adjust each keyframe to each frame to make the object stay on your eyes. It will take a long time to do but when you're done it will look great.
Thank you !!! I tried to make the key color another color but it didn't work! So I will look for your chroma key videos. Also I tried Luma keyed for the first time due to your video but I could not keep the black patches out of me the film subject :( wah

Rocking it out as always! I was trying to find how to set the start / end of the effect. Didn't realize it applies to the entire clip requiring section to be cut in to a separate section / clip. Thanks.
Paul C You're welcome. You can either split/cut clips or you can use keyframes to control when the effect starts and ends.
***** Briefly, how would use keyframes?
Basically you would use keyframes to have the effect be off until it reaches the frame where you want it to turn the effect on. You can watch this video to get an idea of what I mean.

Thanks. I went back in and got it working. One mistake was clicking "reset" on the last keyframe to put the numbers back to zero but that cancels all of the keyframes for that effect.
is there a way to add a filter in case you had to rerecord footage and the lighting is slightly off?
You can make adjustments using color correction but there is no filter which can be applied.

No one has links for them that works with Pinnacle Studio. You can only get it with Pinnacle Studio when you purchase the software version that has it with it. The only version that you can get separately is for After Effects.

You can't make it white but you can zoom in using 2D editor advanced to remove the black.

A video clip just needs to be placed on the timeline and moved into position where you want it.
