I appreciate that Woolsey was the one to bluff the Asurans into negotiating. Of all the characters, of course it would be him. In his days as a lawyer and a bureaucrat, that sort of steel nerve would have been vital for him to ascend in whatever system he happened to be in.
At first I hated that they couldn’t get Tori Higginson back for this episode. But the more I think about it the more I like that they couldn’t. A lot of the decisions Weir makes in this episode seemed out of character. Even the ending. It makes more sense that the Weir we knew was dead and that this truly was just a replicator copy
It is never clear if this was or was not Wier, however, I do not think it matters. Considering everything that happened to her, she would not be the same person they all knew. Also, it was nice to see F.R.A.N. again!
Is this the same Woolsey that we saw in "The Return" when he was pestering General O'neill for a play-by-play about what is happening and when they were going to be rescued?
Yep, exact same character from way way back in Sg1 infact (just like Rodney) he also makes an appearance in the final stargate season (universe). Making him one of 5(?) characters to do so in the entire series.
As a member of SG-1 Sam was great but I have to say she's in third place when it comes to leading Atlantis, Weir only just beats Woolsey based on connection with the people but for overall badassness it's gotta be Woolsey because of his character arc
They are just dormant anyways. They dumped one out in The Return and went back later to retrieve him/it and came back to life when McKay increased the power.
I would say that the design of Atlantis is poor given it's a spaceship and designed to be able to submerge and it is not water or airtight without the shield, but then again the Ancients were literally renowned for their hubris and arrogance so it is perhaps *more* realistic that way
given their advanced shield tech (even modern Asgard shields aren't as good as 1mil year old ancient ones) i see no problem. plus the city not being perfect give the writers hazards to create drama
@@Ragitsu really? the few times we see them in the show they are quite arrogant and dismissive of the 'primitive' humans, even the Asuran replicators share this
@@corberus3119Eh, debatable. Most of what we've seen of Ancient shields has been either boosted by a ZPM (which Asgard shields benefit from as well) or from Replicator ships (which honestly hasn't really been all that impressive). Ancient weapons though, now that's worth talking about

You can hear the frustration in Corison's voice. Being in that subspace static must be hard and painful.

Forgot "Tin Man" and "Double Jeopardy"?

Voyager doctor came a long way...
Have to admit, never watched the entire episode, only the ending... but after seeing this I can understand why they did what they did in the end.
When it comes to negotiations, you must first please state the nature of the medical emergency... :P

@@TheDragonaf1 Yes, I remember in SG-1, he wanted to freeze Daniel in the Antarctic pod when he became a prior.
Yes, he has come a long way since then.

Go Woolsey
I HATE the ending. It's BS since most of them were helpful and did as they were told and it was very OOC for Elizabeth to do that.

If by "literally renowned" you mean "given that descriptor by 'fans' _ad nauseum_ ", then...you are correct.

You got to get the first part of the episode. Elizabeth hacked the jumper
also the part after that where wierd begins talking to them and revealing thier are more technologically advanced races out there.
