    Walmart Mastercard Credit Card is my favorite, I am on Social Security with No collections or Public File, Credit Score 769. I was approved for $2,500. You make a single purchase from them and pay it in full and the following month your credit line will go to $5,000. And 6-8 Months later an increase to $7,500 Credit Line AND $1,500 Cash Advance Credit Line which is great for Emergencies.

      Hard to say, but for most people Chase is not going to be their first credit card because Chase seems to like to see a history with another card first. Above 680 is good credit score, according to FICO 8 and the credit bureaus(like Experian) ,but of course 700 is better. Why is your credit scoring model different? They also have a credit card scoring model -which at least for me is higher score than my fico score 8 of 697. Is Discover it a good fair/good credit card to apply for? I have one credit card. I'm wondering why your scoring models say my score is average and some say it is good? I would appreciate an answer for this. I'm not doubting your information, just curious about the discrepancy.

    • @ProudMoney
      @ProudMoney  4 года назад +2

      There is no universally agreed upon definition of average credit vs. good credit, no definite cut-off line from one to the other. Every credit card company or loan company is going to define it differently; I am using a scale that I believe makes sense based on what I know of which cards are usually matched with which credit scores. My numbers are definitely not 100% "correct", though --- just an estimate.

      You can ask for a product change ... by doing that and going to the quick silver card you can get a little bit more cashback vs the journey. Is it worth it ? 1.5% vs 1% I say go for it your not losing anything.

    Are these still the same? I currently have the Freedom, IT, Quicksilver one, Ollo. Thinking about getting the Marvel MasterCard. Not sure why you aren’t a fan of it. It’s 3% cash back on dining and entertainment with no AF. 700 CS I don’t have a no AF dining/entertainment card yet. You suggest a different route?

      Tyrone Williams navy Federal! I started off with a secure card 2 months before and applied for unsecured and got approved. The rep told me my secured probably will unsecure in a few months to avoid another hard pull but she also said if I was to apply for a new unsecured card navy fed usually matches your highest limit or more, so I’m going to apply for a new card in a few months to have more available credit and hopefully a good sign up bonus. My utilization is about 4% -11% across 6 cards. And it really doesn’t change too much even holiday time I don’t spend more than I can pay back period. That’s just me and my habits now. But those paid charge offs are haunting me!!!!!

      All 3 reports. I’m the same on charge what I can pay but I also took out 3 small loans. I have them paid 8 months. I started of with the go rewards card with $500. Then I switch to the cash rewards next yr I be with them 2yrs. Have a $4500 limit them now. I am plan disputing them 6 accts off my reports soon. According to FICO it is:
      With FICO, the most widely used system, scores range from 300 to 850 (though no one ever achieves a perfect 850). Scores above 760 are considered excellent; those consumers have an easier time getting credit at good rates. Scores between 725 and 759 are still very good
