I first saw this piece in 1998 in Santa Rosa Ca as an 18 year old metal head guitar player and it absolutely rekt me. I had to wait for the interwebs to blossom in order to find it again a half a decade or more later, but for a guy that never gave a single fook about ballet or modern dance, Jiri's art is a lifelong joy I get to have that the rest of the world, for the most part, will never comprehend. Thanks bro, nicely done!

I have followed Hubbard Street Dance for decades. I recently saw the company perform in Hanover, NH, and thoroughly enjoyed them. But, I believe it was Robert Joffrey who brought Jiri Kylian to the United States, not Hubbard Street. I first saw Kylian pieces performed in NYC in the 1980s by the Joffrey company, including: Return To a Strange Land, Forgotten Land, Dream Dances...
