@ I do the same with my guitar now. I use an aux cable the big thick ones. And all you would need is an appropriate adapter and an audio interface to connect it to
Hey, thanks for video, but is there any way to record drums if I'm gonna connect em to my laptop through external audio interface with line input but not midi?
If I hook up 1/4” stereo (L/R) on the back of my speaker amp should I also hook up to the Alesis module as 1/4” L/R on the back or would I still get stereo sound using the headphone jack on the Alesis module? I’m trying to figure out which cable to buy. I’m seeing both options, but the one end being 3.5mm seems to be more common. Than both L/R 1/4”.
I'm using Elesis Nitro mesh with Audiobox, Headphones ,SSD5 with waveform12 and while playing the normal kit it's fine but with all that other stuff, my drums stop working during me playing, why?
What if my audio interface doesn't have MIDI ports? I use the U-Phoria UM2 and that interface only has a mic/line1 port and a port for instrument cables.
If you have a Quarter-Inch Cable, try that.. Use the output on your drum module, and one of the inputs in the Audio Interface. If I was closer to my set I would try it, but I think that will work too.. Let me know if you would.. :)
yea but how do you connect your headphones and your ipod/iphone so i can jam to music and hear the drums in my headphones while playing to music, knowone talks about this about electrics anywere, its so stupid cuz thats what most people are going to us an electric kit for
I used a split cable to connect the laptop and mp3/ipod, but sometimes it sounds good and sometimes its just a mess. The module doesnt have a mp3 volume control like others. There is a behringer HA400 headphone amplifier but i dont know if it works. Any luck?
Couldn't you use a converter cable on your iPhone and plug that into the back of the module, and then connect your headphones to your laptop? I assume that's the setup you're using. There is a converter that will convert your iPhone USB Cable into the back of the drum module. I have one, but am not able to attach a photo of it as far as I know...
I bought a Bluetooth speaker amplifier that has a headphone out. I can jam with my music over the speaker or plug in headphones into the speaker and jam to my music while hearing the drums. I bought the Simmons DA2108 and it sounds really good.
Hi, i just got my drums today and I had a problem with the sound. When plugged in into the headphones only one sound comes out from the Right and it is so low. Do i need to do in the settings?
@@phoebealcarde1920 I had a same problem because I was inserting aux in backside of the machine but there is a slot in the left side written headphone use that. Hope it will work for you 🤞
Would i be able to connect my module to my home theatre system? What connection/cable would i need?
did you every find the answer? i am trying to do that right now, but I am not sure how.

Do they work at all, and then not work?
Fixed it, not sure how, lol@@MerrillStreetStudio
Awesome... :)
Why did you make the background music louder than your voice?
Thanks for the feedback, you're not the only one that mentioned this. I have since corrected this issue.
Question? When I hear my Roland TD3 in headphones it sounds kickass. When I hook up to a Pa Lmono- there is barely any punch sounds really low.
I got the same issue.. any solution?

@@MerrillStreetStudio I had to get a second opinion but I figured I'd need a cable that has a MIDI end and a quarter-inch end. Thank you!
Cool.. no problem.

There should be an aux in port on most modules

You're welcome!
hi for the laptop part, which free software can I use? and are there any tutorials online for setting up the audio the right way?
Try EZ Drummer, last I knew it was free, and there should be a lot of coverage on RUclips.
can you please link the software ?
For Logic Pro X?
the midi cable is male to male correct?
Yes, both ends of the MIDI chord are male. I hope that answers your question.
HUH?....MIDI does NOT output ACTUAL AUDIO......as you stated in your video
Close that cold music man , people need to here your voice not that gd music
Thanks for the input.. I have since made my voice much more prominent. Appreciate the feedback.
hi is there a difference in sound outputting the sound im mono (1 chord) vs stereo (2 chords) ?
No, there is no difference.
