To Vlad: I made this *EXACT POST* on the "Warhammer Heroes" vid making this *EXACT REFERENCE.* Heinrich seems to have gotten it, and understood I was just giving him shit in a friendly fashion. You seem to have your head wedged in a block of cheese.
A chapter with a byzantine collection titles claiming to be a descendend of a chapter that emulates the roman empire. I don't see your problem, Arch. It fits like ass to bucket.
Since most foundings after the second tended to be heavy on chapters with smurf heritage. And the fact that most chapters that have gone renegade have been smurf successors just by the fact the high lords make so many smurf successors. With those facts out of the way I see nothing strange about the Fire Hawks being smurf successors since not all of the smurf successors were/are that smurfy!
Well the salamanders burn the xenos scum to keep the civilians safe because every civilian deserves the emperors protection. the fire hawks burn the civilians cause they were probley traitors anyways.
Also there is the somewhat obvious fact that the salamanders actually give a shit about the civilians in the first place so ... I don't think they had anything to do with them.
So something funny I noticed about the Purge. In one of the newish Black Legion books Iskandar Khayon, one of Abaddon's BFFs, mentioned that his own personal bloodthrister, the Ragged Knight, was created as a result of the Massacre at Béziers during the Albigensian Crusade in July 21, 1209, where the "God will know his own" quote comes from. So if a bloodthrister was created from the massacre of a single city what the hell will result from the Great Malagantine Purge? wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ragged_Knight,
TeutonicKnight92 I actually remember that. ADB what's his name wrote that one. There was that part where the avatar of the Astronomicon randomly showed up on the bridge of a Chaos battleship and everybody was like "well this is awkward" and then just kinda left after shooting the breeze for a few minutes. And the revelation(?) that the traitor legions have had extensive access to and knowledge of the webway from within the eye of terror for the entire time they've been there and haven't thought to use it much. And then Abaddon was some kind of autistic hermit living on the vengeful spirit and turning it into a giant museum and that book was weird.
Legion of the Damned was assumed to be the Firehawks in old Gw lore or 'suspected to be but not confirmed' unless thats been retconned. Would make sense Firehawks being Ultra Marines stock showing up as Legion of the Damned when Robute Guiliman was fighting to get back to Terra
"Xenos warfare... less severe... hard to argue against that." Well, except for that one time the Orks (the ORKS of all xenos) parked a goddamn *MOON* over Terra and proceeded to run roughshod over the Imperium with dozens of said moons (not to mention killed a Primarch and wiped out an entire founding chapter), almost doing what the arch-traitor Horus failed to do: crush Terra.
NetMoverSitan let’s not forget the time they practically indoctrinated an entire human population into looking forward to getting eaten and ground up for spice to be used in fungus beer.
That kind of gets overlooked, much like the Space Marine gene seed organ that's the "oh s - - - " button that apparently evacuates any toxic substances out of the rear.
YES! FINALLY! AWESOME WORK ARCH MUCH LOVE FROM BULGARIA AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND CONTENT COMING! You made me buy the entire HH series books :D I love you mate please continue doing the amazing work that you're doing!
You should do a Inquisition lore video, there mentioned every vid but have yet to get one of their own. *THIS REQUEST IS AUTHORIZED BY THE HOLY ORDERS OF THE GOD EMPEROR'S INQUISITION*
The Firehawks sound like they would be a group that would have the Space Wolves show them what they think to imperial agencies that disregard civilian imperial lives.
Man, all this stuff about the space marine chapters and their politics and relations to other chapters makes this feel like a particularly violent episode of the bold and the beautiful.
Actually, their structure looks ALOT more like a mix of the old Warhound (pre-world eaters) BUT with the hiearchy of the Word Bearers and defenitly their zeal...
"There's no such thing as overkill" made incarnate. Anyway didn't the Legion of the Damned appear before the Firehawks disappeared? If so they can't be the only source of the Legion, assuming they are indeed one(which is plausible)
remember the warp travel does allow one to time travel. it is not unheard of for ships to emerge from the warp years before they left. one orc warboss traveled back in time to kill his prior self since he wanted two of his favorite pistol.
Ah yeah, forgot about that. Still it's hard to say if they are the only source since we don't know for certain how many Damned there are(being difficult to quantify them due to their nature). I hope GW gives us some more hints about them in the future, although I doubt it
The issue with this is this kind of story is an absolute gibberish. If a chapter time travels then the first thing they do when re-appear is not to become a demonic astartes, but ask for local time and to identify itself to local forces. I kind miss the point of, you know, from traveling back in time and becoming legion of the damned. There might be a small and little bit of lore loophole there.
when the chapter time traveled they were already turned into the legion of the damned. what possibly turned them into the legion of the damned was having their memories get infected by nurgel and then burst into flames to try to get rid of that. they then got lost in the warp and turned into the legion of the damned only turning up when needed as their readings of the emperor's tarot told them to do so. they became warp demons loyal to the emperor.
Huh? Has their fluff been re-written? As I recall, the entire fleet, including Raptorus Rex, was lost in a short warp jump en route to the Crow's World sector, never to be heard from again. It was later hinted rather strongly that "something" had happened to them in the warp and that this turned them into The Legion Of The Damned. But I don't recall having ever heard of any involvement of Nurgle, nor any intrusion into his domain.
the thing is though, I love the Legion of the Damned. they're my 4th favourite chapter. the fire hawks are SUCH UTTER dicks I feel i'd like them less. or maybe the fact they became so awesome in spite of past "sins" makes them even cooler. I dunno really

Emperor's Children....perhaps.... But your description had me really thinking War hound/ World Eaters, with a sprinkling of Word Bearers thrown in there for the zealous devotion. What better way to cover that back round then convincing them/others they are Smurfs?
Yeah, Nurgle delivered a small gift to you...now for a possible successor chapter of...LOL! I can only imagine how you'd deal with the Ultrasmurfs lore video. | 1:32 - They wouldn't be the first to deviate from their founding chapter. | So the Fire Hawks are mild by comparison to Adeptus Sororitas organisational structure? | 7:40 - You've covered the Age of Apostasy and the Sisters of Battle (including their wargear) | 11:05 - Hard to know which that leans more to, the Imperial Fists (collateral damage) or the Salamanders. (their affinity to fire)...sounds similar to "Kill them all and let God sort them out" | 13:10 - That's THEIR job. | That purge...time to go to Brown Alert. | 32:00 - The Legion of the Damned, helping the other chapters when they most need it. | What is left of the Cursed Founding is the Blood Gorgons, Flame Falcons, Minotaurs and the Sons of Antaeus.

Please do the Flame Falcons unless they're already coming. Perfect example of "You can't have nice things", signed by the Inquisition.

I heard Sly Marbo once beat a noise marine in a screaming match.

They are rumored to be the Legion of the Damned.
Matt that is not likely, the legion of the damned are closer to deamons than astartes.
Their joined to their ranks. Legion of the Damned first appeared during the Horus Heresy.
Daimon X true.
Daimon X holy terra! Where did they appear?
In the last chapter of "Master of Mankind" by ADB. The description looks like LotD but it doesn't use the words "Legion of the Damned".
