I saved this video to watch some time ago. I get into these moods sometimes where, in spite of my love for music, the jerk (lol) in my head tells me I'm not cut out for making wonderful sounds. My ukulele has sat unused next to my bed for months, and today I've been catching up on my "Watch Later" list. One of your videos came up ("You Are My Sunshine") and I grabbed my uke. I played along with you, and I smiled. I continued to this song, which holds a special place in my heart, and I cannot contain the joy I feel. Bernadette, your cheerful face and the care and kindness you convey through your videos is just inspiring. Thank you for sharing yourself, and for encouraging others like myself to make music.
See! See! I told someone I practiced strumming in the car on the seat belt and they looked at me like I was crazy!!....oh, well, maybe because I was driving.....but hey, I've driven stick shift for 40 years so I can easily drive one handed so there! LOL!
