Hey I'm trying to get into GL but I got discouraged by some posts on Reddit stating that because shelling doesn't scale the weapon falls behind on GRank. I've been having fun with Brave GL focusing on shelling and fullbursts but I also aim for the 20-25 min mark which I believe is an ok time to complete a g rank quest. Also is this playstyle you used on this hunt a thing? Doing adept guard and slams to the face.
slam does a lot of damage on its own and if you see his skills and position, its all to capitalize on slam crits which one could easily spam if they could parry really good
unless youre trying to speedrun, play however you damn well please :) i play brave shell spam, i clear most quests in like 30 mins, but i play it because its fun
such a shame that in GU and MHW afaik shelling doesn't scale with dmg, idk what other Mh other than MHO that scale shelling dmg with ele and raw dmg, I missed them because shelling focus build used to be a thing and could compete with other dps build
Your hunter looks just like mine but with a different skin tone lol nice Gl run i normally use normal lance but i might give Gl a try i like the style you play with no shelling i made a similar set in gen i always like the Gl move set more than normal lance
Is athal ka weapons good for like every monster in mhgu cause i see like runs of monster and is allways athal ka weapons i see 😐 also shes a end game boss right
You do realize the other Hunting Styles are OPTIONAL right? Mastering Adept is a challenge on its own. If you want a good challenge, use Guild Style. 2 Hunter Arts but no fancy tricks.
Mhw is the easiest mh so don't think it is harder. In gen/gu you can play guild without arts and it would be like a classic mh game. World has stupid op mechanics that are worse than styles and arts

If you aren't trying to set speed records and you are fine for the 20-30 minute clear times you'll be happy spamming shells as much as you want.
