Greetings Jared Chavez, I just want to say thank you for taking the time to create these detailed videos explaining your process. They've been really helpful and I've been trying to incorporate the information you convey into my own texturing and sculpts as a character artist who is graduating this month. I'll always come back to these videos to learn more and will always hope for more. Once again, thank you very much. Sincerely,
Hi Jared. Loved the video! I'm actually in the process of texturing a creature myself and have been a bit unsure how to approach it. It's based on an already existing game character/creature, so I want to keep the texture more or less the same, but I'm open to adding my own spin to it as well. It'd be awesome if you could give me some feedback as I'm working on it...? Also, you mentioned at the end about your process of adding SSS...? Will this be available soon...? Thanks.
Hi~ i recently found your channel and i'm glad that you are sharing all of this knowledge with us, so thank u for that! your works are amazing I'm curious what are the specs of your computer or/ laptop ?
this was grate. please tell me Texture xyz has only face related textures. They don't have full body textures. then how other artist make texture for hands or legs and other body parts. It is true they use face texture for making body textures?
It depends on what you want to the model for. If it's for games and films, then it will likely be re-topped in Max or Maya. You could do this in topogun too, as long as you are putting those essential loops in to preserve the topology for when the character moves.
This isn't really a how-to, but more of a time-lapsed watch-me with some commentary. Still very interesting to watch, but it's frustrating for this of us who would prefer a real-time, step-by-step approach to this kind of thing.
