I’m not a fan of playing loud music through my bike’s speakers but that’s a nice add on for those who dig it. I was under the impression that the “iPod” source on the bike’s system would play an iPhone through the USB port but that’s not the case, as far as I could find. (I prefer to stream it to my helmet’s comm device but I guess it’s good to have different options).
I listen to the iPod or XM stereo through the speakers and my phone through my helmet speakers. I can find something good all the time. I also use a different windscreen, which makes for a quiet cockpit, see link. werksparts.com/products-1
Just purchased a New Schubert Helmet with in-built Bluetooth Communication System. Been looking for a Bluetooth Transmitter to hook up to my R1150RT Stereo system so I can continue to listen to the Bike's FM Radio. This might do the trick
thanks for this suggestion. I didn't even think of using a BT receiver, which I have a couple just sitting around the house. BTW, that's an interesting hood for the GPS. Did you make that? Also, do u ever try to use this setup on long trips? My phone always overheads when it's on a mount, exposed to the sun.
Yes, I made the sun shade. Here's the video link below about it. I use the same sun shield (but a different size) for my phone and now it never shuts off because of the heat/sun The BT receiver works great too, and I've used it on all of my trips. ruclips.net/video/hgpHzp2PyB8/видео.html
Hi Lionel, does this work with an R1200RT 2008 model? I don’t see the cable you mentioned at the beginning of the video that comes with motorbike where you connect the Bluetooth device in my glove box. I have been looking for a solution like this for a long time but I just don’t know how to do it. My bike is a bit old (it can play CD and radio) but even the radio signal is not great so I have been thinking about how to make the speakers Bluetoothable but I don’t know if that’s possible with all models or only after a certain year? Any idea? Many thanks
This link should work. www.amazon.com/MiiLink-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Adapter/dp/B08G8Q7NXZ/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=taotronics%2Bbluetooth%2Btransmitter&qid=1680638672&sr=8-11&th=1
Sweet, that's one of the next things I plan on doing on the bike. Just installed the cyclops LEDs
It works great, I miss this bike over my '23 RT.

It works great, and gives you more options for listening while you ride.

I thought the RT had bluetooth built in?
This bike (2020) is the previous generation. The current ones have Bluetooth.
Will do
It works great.
Looks good but does it work ok with the box closed?
I think it does close, but I didn't close it all the way by using some Velcro.

Maybe try it and return it if it doesn't work for your bike. Good luck. Steve
