Can’t wait to start fishing in the spring and summer coming up…where I’m at, last season was a bummer year. But got a new slogan for every time I get a catch…..Yeah You Right!
I've been fishing up north for extremely pressured trout and worms and natural bait has not gotten me a single fish. The Gulp maggots though and pinched crawlers have been getting me lots of rainbows and large Bonneville cutthroat.
Just curious... u always use ABERDEEN hooks.. Why? Why not use bait holders instead. With the 2 small barbs up the back shank of the hook definitely holds the bait better
Hey buddy the Gulp Minnow in the 1in,2in and 3 inch sizes..that and crickets is what I use to catch my catfish bait..anyhow good luck and tight lines brother
Hello Mike - I met you today on the eastbank - had the dog on the levee. I would love to learn from you first hand if you come over this way again. I gotta bike.
Never have had much luck with gulp products. Guess our fish only live it live lol and we do fish with maggots but under the ice!. Its 12 below here this morning. Even colder tomorow. But back to normal by the weekend. ( Normal is 30s for hgihs and single digs for lows lol.)
Hey M. Hood! I would like to let you know that Gulp co. Fake things that they make like the fake worms that I bought at one time didn’t work at all. Just the real worms worked here in MN. Thank you
Four legged fish ...... now that's funny. 👍👍 Where is that water coming from? Is it street water or?? I've tried those fake maggots up here. They will catch some fish but as general rule, they don't work well at all. Tight Line
I used berkley gulp earthworms and no luck. I want to try using maggot for carp fishing. I want to use food coloring on the maggots like red/blue/yellow.
I've used those maggot imitations before and had less than optimal results I find waxworms to be far superior but can be tricky to find in the south but if you have a pet shop nearby they normally carry them for lizards and it's a good place to get them it's a bit pricy but they are awesome for panfish and least in my experience anyways awesome video and take it easy
I have an Aqua Vu HD7i pro camera and used the gulp fake maggots one day. Watched all the fish on camera go to take a bite of the fake maggot and literally just spit it right back out and swim away.
You can get maggots at pet store called wax worms work good and I had some luck with the fake maggots here not far from you. Don't think I have a video on them just the trout bait.
I use them all the time for panfish it’s perfect, only problem I have is for the price they charge for them they could make the jars more leak proof, my bag always smells like gulp juice
Will be very stinky, but you can "make" maggots on your own. Just hang some dead fish in a tree and a bucket 1 foot under. One week later you can take out some nice and fresh maggots from the bucket. But it will be very stinky,, so better put it in the woods.
I've never used real maggots only Gulp Waxies. I've had great success with the Gulp Alive series of baits, less so with the Powerbait series. Up here in NW Ontario, Canada panfishing is not a thing. If someone local saw you fishing for sunfish or perch they will be judging you. Not very enlightened up here lol.
I appreciate all of the time and effort you put into your archive of videos. Be safe out there and good luck……

Didn’t get notifications on this video had to come looking. Fish on!
Glad to see your videos we are icing over here 16 degrees, bummer
I like this guy. No fluff and fake excitement. Just good fishin
Another great video...up here in VA we currently have 20 inches of snow at my house...no power for last 3 days... only 40 degrees inside
Good video. I really appreciated the straight forwardness and good fishing. Sent you a $2 super thanks.
Good video. Got me the info I needed to know.

Awesome video sir! I try and catch them all! Great inspiration 😎✌️🔥🔥🎣
Here in Kansas we use Wax Worms that look just like big fat maggots, for pan fish, and they love em.
Another good video. Can't wait to try this.

Yeah you right. You can message me through fb or ig. I will be back over there soon.
I've fished with the maggots out of a compost bin. They work well if you clean the compost juice off them first.
Up here in New York where I am the maggots for ice fishing we call them spikes
I've used the powerbait minnows for several years with pretty good success. Just wish they weren't so pricey. Never tried the maggots. Might have to.
Same, I eventually just went to catching my own minnows though, they're just tough keeping alive overnight
Yeah you're right turtle soup

You can order maggots online I buy them a 1000 at a time for steelhead and trout fishing
Where do you order them from and how do you keep them?

Good video
Now I know what to use if I want to catch turtles lol
Red willers are better here in Illinois too. They will out fish gulps anytime.

I use those as a tip bait on crappie jigs catch alot of crappie on them
It's 14 here, snowing and winds blowing 30-40 mph. Wanna trade? Yeah you right. I need to move.
Interesting spot -- still producing baitfish -- you make good video.
I use both gulp maggots & earthworms with very good results have even caught catfish on the gulp earthworms but mostly bluegill/sunfish
We call em bee moth in Indiana, same thing basically
Waxworms are Bee moth larva . He is talking about fly larva.
@@MegaTechno2000 right, I was saying they are similar...bee moth fatter and bright white, but similar larva
@@BigJ76937 Ok
Try one of the pet store they usually carry maggots meal worms and super worms for lizards and other pets
Love the gulp minnows but have never used the maggo
a fish with legs and a shell 😂
Good stuff , Gulp is good ...put a drop menthol toothpaste on it before casting

I have the same issue with the gulp minnows in "resealable" bags
Another RUclipsr suggests using urinalysis cups. They're cheap and they work
@@davidchappell1548 smart thanks for the idea
@@davidchappell1548 thanks that’s a perfect idea
I raise real maggots spring to fall for personal use . They create one heck of a feeding freenzy!!!!
That gill is perfect for bait!
In the past, I used real maggots..Crappie in cold winter...Amazon has them, live
I think I'd just find another spot, seems strange fishing in a sewer..I do like the info on hook sizes, but a sewer😢
Meal worms are easy to keep around just get a box of cornmeal. Do the fake ones taste like the real thing? 😂
Wax worms look like maggots also
