hdr 400 is still nice. I use it and I DO notice color differences, and nice bright lights and flashes. People bash it so hard "Oh, regular monitors can sometimes go to 350-400 as well without it" yeah, but without HDR mode it won't make those explosions MEGA bright at the peak of the monitor. Of COURSE it's not amazing hdr 600 or 1000. Cause they're like, WAY HIGHER BRIGHTNESS AND MORE EXPENSIVE. hahaha duh
hdr 400 is just a name, its a gimmic. Go and do research hdr 400 is not even hdr at all, this is because it does not even meet the basic hdr entry level threshold which is hdr 600.
@@nadeemahmet1834 what about hdr 1000 and it can do 1200nits? Is that real hdr? I’m sorry I’m new to this and i wanna buy this monitor for $4500 and it’s had DisplayHDR 1,000 with 1200 bits of brightness and 1152 local dimming zones
You have to realize that in order for your viewers to be able to see the difference - they need to already have themselves a DisplayHDR 1000 monitor, an HDR-capable videocard, OS, and browser. Then RUclips has to support playing HDR content. And on top of that you need to film it with an HDR-capable camera.
It's the same issue as watching a comparison of color TVs on a black and white one. You will see a vague difference, but it would never be able to represent how colors look.
no the camera operator should lower exposure and keep it locked. The camera is adjusting exposure dynamically, when it should be locked for a comparison like this. And they should lower exposure until it shows the difference between the brightest display and the next, lower-brightness display
The material is displayed in SD and not HDR. / camera did not support such a colorrange/ It does not matter that you have TN or IPS differences you will not see.
I dont see the difference. I wish my local bestbuy had some side by side like these ones. Besides, Oled more than anything else really makes the picture stand out
I have the Gigabyte M32UC. It has HDR 400 but i dont use it because i see alot of people saying that its better to just run on SDR.. What do you recommend? I play on a PS5. If anyone in the commets has good knowledge of this feel free to help out aswell, thanks.
All the hdr advertising in commercials and at these events are of sdr videos. It's already a dead giveaway of their lies when they show a vid of hdr vs sdr and the sdr looks washed out to the max. Use some critical thinking and you know that's not how sdr is at all. I have a mini led 1k nit tv, an OLED monitor, and before I had an IPS monitor (although it was rated hdr 400). There was absolutely no settings or amount of research I could do to make the hdr picture look anywhere near as balanced and punchy as the sdr picture. At the end of the day just remember that the SDR picture is the intended visual of the creator of the content. HDR constantly judges now the light and shadows are balanced which ultimately creates an uncomfortable look
HDR10 just means that the monitor supports 10 bit color (could also be 8 bit + frc). DisplayHDR 400 is almost meaningless and just generally means you are getting a reasonable quality monitor (Dont use HDR on these ones) DisplayHDR 600 and 1000 however. They both require 10 bit color support (HDR10) as well as high color volume (95% dci-p3). Additionally, they require a certain contrast ratio to be met (higher on displayHDR 1000) as well as certain fullscreen brightness requirements, which are higher on displayHDR 1000.
I know its old. but that HDR to SDR comparison is total bulshit. If u dowloaded true SDR movie and compared to same HDR movie... u will be surprised how washed out HDR movie is.

It’s not just higher brightness, there is a bunch of other stuff that’s also MUCH better than """HDR""" 400
4:29 those curvs! "she turns back" nice timing! lol
Wamen review 2019 #WeRespecWamen
That was good timing 🤣
4:26 very cool viewing angles indeed

@@PainIsntExist sd refers to resolution, you mean sdr, also, its just a joke dude
@@Biskawow yeep sdr , I apologize for the mistake.
@@PainIsntExist a reasonable conversation, how satisfying, don't even look like internet.
Those curves am i right guys? ^^ great video as always joelster!
The question I have is can you notice much difference between HDR400 and 600?
hdr 400 vs 600 vs 1000 but also uses different panels so they trick is to see that hdr 1000 are way way better.
Video was not filmed in HDR!
Guy @ 4:32 looking at game instead of checking out those 2 Hi Def honeys!
Noticeable difference, I don't know if it justifies the price.
at 02:08 it's almost like the screen in the middle (HDR 600) is an LCD ! ahah
My man never fails to deliver ,most big name RUclips sites don't even do TV and PC monitor coverage like you sir👍
2:30 guessing that's HDR on with SDR video(HDR setting causing extra darkness), not HDR off with SDR content (normal - which lacks that darkness)?
This video isn't recorded in HDR?
Man I was hoping she was gonna slap you when you said "those curves" the second she turned around but I think you made her day instead.
Those curves, what curves you looking at, i know what curves i was peeking on.

Bro please tell me, HDR10 vs HDR10+ Vs visa DisplayHDR 400 ,which is best

That giant butterfly really scares me
Should I add 50€ to past from HDR 400 (240Hz) to HDR 600 (165Hz) ?
This is the proof I need for the people complaining hdr is not bright. Like just stop with using hdr10…
4:45 😅
Funny thing you can never really understand the differences from a youtube video. Only when you see through your own eyes you will understand.
Did You see the 27" HP Monitor with QD on Glass. Quantum Dot on Glass ?
It is an asus monitor, rog is a division for gaming and predator is their monitor brand.
4:33 THICC curves i feel you
400-600 is noticable, barely notice 600-1000 tho
Perfect video thank dude i give like for you
Jolster!!!! My man
Do I need HDR monitor to notice difference in this demo?
this video wasn't rendered in hdr
And to think samsung claims their g9 can do 2000hdr is amazing
I have the Neo G8 and it does look great.
HDR1000 is incredible technology.
What I'm not impressed is the price...[laugh] hahaha

Even noticed the difference on my phone dang that's a good monitor

Yes he did
Hdr10 is hdr1000?
HDR10 is basically HDR, HDR1000 label means it can reach 1000 nits of peak brightness.
HDR10 = 10 bit color
HDR1000 = how much brightness the display can produce
@@JoelsterG4k also vesa displayHDR 1000 is both peak brightness, contrast ratio and color gamut (DCIP3). So a very useful certification to look for.
HDR hurts your eyes
How are these different from hdr 10?
That's why I clicked on a video. I have no clue what it is haha. There are 2 monitors I wanna buy one says HDR10 in the other 1 is the 600
HDR10 means 10 bit of color instead of 8
HDR600 vs 1000 difference is the nits or brightness. More brightness can equal better contrast.
HDR10 just means that the monitor supports 10 bit color (could also be 8 bit + frc).
