    hdr 400 is still nice.
    I use it and I DO notice color differences, and nice bright lights and flashes.
    People bash it so hard "Oh, regular monitors can sometimes go to 350-400 as well without it"
    yeah, but without HDR mode it won't make those explosions MEGA bright at the peak of the monitor.
    Of COURSE it's not amazing hdr 600 or 1000. Cause they're like, WAY HIGHER BRIGHTNESS AND MORE EXPENSIVE. hahaha duh

      hdr 400 is just a name, its a gimmic. Go and do research hdr 400 is not even hdr at all, this is because it does not even meet the basic hdr entry level threshold which is hdr 600.

    • @AviaryMolina
      @AviaryMolina 3 года назад +2

      @@nadeemahmet1834 what about hdr 1000 and it can do 1200nits? Is that real hdr? I’m sorry I’m new to this and i wanna buy this monitor for $4500 and it’s had DisplayHDR 1,000 with 1200 bits of brightness and 1152 local dimming zones

    You have to realize that in order for your viewers to be able to see the difference - they need to already have themselves a DisplayHDR 1000 monitor, an HDR-capable videocard, OS, and browser. Then RUclips has to support playing HDR content. And on top of that you need to film it with an HDR-capable camera.

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  4 года назад +15

      Aahhh nope, if you didn't see the difference most likely you need to check your vision.

      It's the same issue as watching a comparison of color TVs on a black and white one.
      You will see a vague difference, but it would never be able to represent how colors look.

    • @FF-kc7fc
      @FF-kc7fc 2 года назад +3

      no the camera operator should lower exposure and keep it locked. The camera is adjusting exposure dynamically, when it should be locked for a comparison like this. And they should lower exposure until it shows the difference between the brightest display and the next, lower-brightness display

    Глубокий черный цвет и контрастность
    Здесь VA по-прежнему далеко впереди. Благодаря конструкции, черные пиксели VA-матрицы пропускают намного меньше света, чем у IPS. Это особенно заметно в затемненном помещении. Очевидно, это создает определенное преимущество телевизорам на основе VA-матриц - ведь фильмы мы предпочитаем смотреть в полумраке.

    All the hdr advertising in commercials and at these events are of sdr videos. It's already a dead giveaway of their lies when they show a vid of hdr vs sdr and the sdr looks washed out to the max. Use some critical thinking and you know that's not how sdr is at all. I have a mini led 1k nit tv, an OLED monitor, and before I had an IPS monitor (although it was rated hdr 400). There was absolutely no settings or amount of research I could do to make the hdr picture look anywhere near as balanced and punchy as the sdr picture. At the end of the day just remember that the SDR picture is the intended visual of the creator of the content. HDR constantly judges now the light and shadows are balanced which ultimately creates an uncomfortable look

    Hdr10 is hdr1000?

    • @JoelsterG4k
      @JoelsterG4k  3 года назад +1

      HDR10 is basically HDR, HDR1000 label means it can reach 1000 nits of peak brightness.

    • @arx117
      @arx117 2 года назад

      HDR10 = 10 bit color
      HDR1000 = how much brightness the display can produce

    • @heroninja1125
      @heroninja1125 Год назад +1

      @@JoelsterG4k also vesa displayHDR 1000 is both peak brightness, contrast ratio and color gamut (DCIP3). So a very useful certification to look for.

    • @jacquestcomc
      @jacquestcomc 3 года назад +1

      HDR10 means 10 bit of color instead of 8
      HDR600 vs 1000 difference is the nits or brightness. More brightness can equal better contrast.

    • @heroninja1125
      @heroninja1125 4 месяца назад

      HDR10 just means that the monitor supports 10 bit color (could also be 8 bit + frc).
      DisplayHDR 400 is almost meaningless and just generally means you are getting a reasonable quality monitor (Dont use HDR on these ones)
      DisplayHDR 600 and 1000 however. They both require 10 bit color support (HDR10) as well as high color volume (95% dci-p3). Additionally, they require a certain contrast ratio to be met (higher on displayHDR 1000) as well as certain fullscreen brightness requirements, which are higher on displayHDR 1000.
