It's now a rare sight to see the yard loop being used at Forest Park. Originally trains that would terminate would stay on the same track instead of diverging onto the other track before the platform, like today, and would use the yard loop to reach the O'Hare bound side of the platform and board passengers. Today the crossover before entering the station is now interlocked so there's no need to use the yard loop. In this video a 7000 series train gets laid up on the yard loop while the qualified operator takes his lunch break while a 3200 takes the second yard loop to get out of the way for a train behind it arriving into Forest Park.
    Stay tuned for more!

They're the first set of trains that look nice since I moved to Chicago back in '99 😂
Wish they would've used open gangways to connect the train cars though. They have them on buses, so why can't they do them on the L?

Interesting to see the American bare steel design aesthetic, no matter who builds the trains :)
