Hello Arcajour. Yes, Radio Shack going strong here under the new owners of recent years. I understand there is also a tie in with Office Depot here that is expected to bear fruit. It's not the same Radio Shack that we were used to shopping in during the 1980s in England either. However, it was great to pop in and get the new tiny radio. Nick
What an excellent EDC and video this is, Nick! I only use a pocket notebook as my EDC, but you've given me a lot of inspiration to make something like this! Thanks for sharing!
@@Terry_1111 Good morning Terry. It doesn't matter what your EDC is or looks like. The whole point about creating something like this is that it works for you. Yesterday I took the Metro to the centre and sat myself in the Palacio de Hierro coffee shop on 5 de Febrero to watch through the huge glass wall at the people passing by. I made notes on my ipad and jotted in my journal. Then I went across to the library of Colegio Nacional and wrote there in my A4 spiral bound notebook for an hour. It always feel good to have whatever I might need close to hand. Nick
What an excellent writing EDC, Nick, you fit so much in that case/pouch. You've inspired me to get out my similar sized case to see what I can carry in it. Love the cute bookmark! :)
I really enjoyed watching this video, Nick. I have been perfecting my writing/reading/coffee shop EDC for years. I have similar stuff in mine. I have a novel, the one I am currently reading, a standard size Traveller's Notebook, ear buds, travel clock (I work as a teacher and counsellor so I need to keep track of time), reading glasses, power bank, pencil case, a beard comb and beard oil. I also have a stick of glue because I like to cut out columns from the journals I am reading to stick in my journal. If I am doing some real work I take a laptop with me in a case. In my pockets I have a mobile phone, a keychain SAK and flashlight, my wallet includes a field notes sized notebook and a brass Kaweco sport fountain pen.
@@EmmaBennetAuthor Hi Emma. Glad you enjoyed it. Always nice to head out to write, whether at a coffee shop or in the library, and have this little bag of goodies to hand.
@@Shmyrk Love the question. I don't calculate them. Much as in your own comment, I count them using a pen at the end of each block of writing time. I jot a coloured mark on the page to mark 50 words and then actually add a number for the hundreds ie 200, 500, etc.

Morning Barry. It has been a great solution for carrying just enough and not lugging a rucksack around. Nick

Thanks for this. Curious, how do you calculate your word count in your notebook?
lol just counting them?
