My father was a pastor. He pastored a church near Brevard, NC who gave us a pounding every year just before Thanksgiving. We always had plenty of groceries to last until well after the first of the next year. Such loving and giving people. I have many good memories of their expressions of Christ's love toward our family.

Hello Pastor, I would like to know if after 22 years and you retired, did you then stay in at that church as a member? I was told by another minister that should never happen. But I have always thought it could only help the church to keep growing. We lost our minister by death over two decades ago and his children and wife stayed and she helped us all to grow spiritually and did so much for us. We lost her this year but we will never forget them. I am so enjoying your Pastor Life and Sherry’s The Homespun Wife and the new Scripture writing. I am really learning so much. Thank you both!🙏🙏
Thank you for your response and great question. We don’t plan to stay at our church. It is our prayer to serve other churches on a short term basis. It would be hard on us and them to stay as members.
