Dude you need to go do Jackpot Trail. I will email you the details so next time you come up North you can experience the true potential out in MN.
Cayuna, Giants Ridge, and Tioga are amazing but Jackpot Trail really displays the true potential that can be released in the North Shore that is unique and could really be a special gem of a Mountain Bike mecca in America.

i've gotten ghost shifting because of small burrs/ridges ie deformed metal on the edges of the teeth/valleys created by wear--the burrs/ridges can be enough to catch the hyperglide ramps. get a small metal file (both flat & round to match the tooth radius, ideally) & file them back down to flat & you'll be good to go!
