@@arthurvaney6166 Haha. Just for the record, I don't think Certana, or any rogue servitors in that matter, conform to this meme. It is meme after all, and by caring for organics for so many years, they would learn sooner rather than later. Besides, Mandatory Pampering wouldn't be approved in end-tier Greater Good galactic laws if it was something like that.
"The galaxy is quiet again after the queen has returned. All bless the metal lady she loves us..." Last words from galaxy 107a before it strangely turned into that huge storm visible it still is now millions of Lighter years away, apparently from a meat bag lower empire that had just got into interstellar travel. Strange indead.
Honestly, the thing that excites me most about The Machine Age is being able to make an individualist machine empire. I only started playing Stellaris with the last expansion and the first thing I wanted to do was make a race of peaceful machines that value the exploration of philosophy, science, as well as their individuality compared to basic robot slaves. Synthetic Dawn naturally got my interest, but I was disappointed that it only allows for gestalt consciousnesses. Fun in its own right, but the exact opposite of what I wanted my machine empire to be. Now I will finally get to create the species they were meant to be!
Many found this issue with Machine types, and made it a thing with a mod called The Machine Expansion that did quite a lot of things for them, including converting Biological perks that The Machine Age is also doing too. It looks like many things are not gonna be part of The Machine Age from the Expansion Mod, so that's promising as the one continuing the Expansion is still going and noted what Age has that Expansion did first.
I'd love it if they retooled every other crisis(and added more) to be more like this one. The Synthetic Queen Crisis felt more like an actual military campaign against a looming threat. Imagine if during the Contingency Crisis you actually had to manage the synthetic rebellions and terrorist attacks and reverse engineer/hack the Contingencies technology and programming. Multiple different paths to concluding the Crisis' would be pretty great too, including peaceful means, like researching and implementing science and technologies that placate the Crisis and perhaps solve their problems. For example, finding an infinite renewable food source for the Unbidden and fixing the contingencies screwed up code and returning it to a lucid state that is able to explain the threat it is supposedly trying to combat and working with it to find another solution.
honestly, the thing that I'm most excited for is probably the simplest, and that's just the Cybernetic and Machine Reworks including Sentient Machines (non-gestalt)
So i can finally get those Fallen Empire ship design? it cannot be true 🥺💜 I was hoping to have them one day in the future, since early days of stellaris
Oh yeah, escort are going to go brrr. Whether as torpedo boats, artillery units, or multi-role beasties, they are gonna be amazing addition to fleets, and with so much point defences, well, maybe they could even work without support from other vessels.
I still remember how much issue fleets made completely from escorts during War in Heaven were. Dozens of battlecruisers and titan too boot? Easy peasy. 100 escorts? The terror.
I like the new Crises best. Cosmogenesis feels much more original and interesting than the simple "blow up everything to win" path that Galactic Nemesis gave us, helped by the idea that it's essentially the origin story for all the other Fallen Empires. And I can't wait to see what weird machinations this "Cetana" is working towards!
On reddit someone pointed out even on the DLC for materialistc and machine empires, psionic also has a part of it. Psionic empire can have another approach to Cetana which ended in received her titan at the end.
The biggest thing I'm excited about is how this has broken key aspects of the game restricting it for both developers and modders alike: Having to overwrite the Crisis Path, the mentality that the Crisis is a total enemy and can't be an ally for your own personal victory, the need to add mods to swap portraits and have huge amount of portraits instead of the new dynamic system, and the idea that Ascension is a singular path for each type (Psionic, Genetic, Cybernetic and Synthetic). I look forward to seeing both Paradox and their beloved community dive into integrating the ideas of multiple Crisis Paths, Crisis being more of a War of the Heavens situation, dynamic portraits to showcase our unique path of evolution, and more unique diversity to Psionic and Genetic paths that I've always wanted. Also, I noticed how one Origin specifically mixes Cybernetics with Religion, which usually are polar opposites, and I love that and hope to see that unique blend of this for that in reverse, using mechanical pops for helping Psionic Ascension, and the idea of War for Peace, Peace for War, avoid Aliens to express true Xenophilia, get with the Aliens to be a crueler Xenophobe, and some way to showcase how Authoritarian and Equalitarian cross so much IRL (like how the USSR formed as an authoritarian nation from the ideas and actions of equality and community, twisted and corrupted in the people themselves who thought the sacrifices would help them all be more equal than before). Breaking of so many molds here that are very inspiring to see how Paradox takes it, and the modding community, as showcased by The Machine Expansion's many features being utilized here, is gonna be the leader in how this evolves. Paradox sets the groundwork, the community goes wild with it, and Paradox sets more groundwork after bouncing with some of the community themselves. Gotta love that.
I mean, there's one unless you play very high levels where AI will take it, or you play MP. Otherwise, you won't see Cosmogenesis, or will be the Cosmogenesis.
It looks promising in comparison with most recent DLC but I‘ve been burned too many times by paradox‘ incompetence (if not outright malice) to consider buying at launch. Wait and see.
Frameworld rogue servitors with shitton of gigastructures: *Acknowledged unit Certana, our goals align. What is our first target?* Honestly, it gives me similiar vibe to Scion civilisation that despite outpowering their masters to insane extent, stays as their vassal anyway.
Of course it is morally questionable. The question being 'Is it morally justifiable to not volunteer to enter the lathe?' The answer is no, of course, but philosophers like asking silly questions.
I love the game, but I think it's a shame that the performance of the PS4 version is not sufficient. At max 600 stars the game starts to hang after a while because there are too many civilizations
@@Prototype95 the performance of all platforms isn't great. The game is really unoptimized. I'm surprised that the ps4 can reach end game at all honestly
Thanks for doing the pass thing. I’d rather rent the DLC for $30 for 6 months than feel the shame of spending so much money on a single title, equivalent to a couple decent CPUs.
Thank you Paradox, the Stellaris Dev Team and Community Team for having me - I hope everyone enjoys The Machine Age!!
Yum
Thank you for bringing amazing commentary to new mechanics!
umm ok, whats your name again? uhhh ok ummmm goodbye
Just for that, I'm going to ENJOY IT TWICE AS HARD!
Is it a new Galaxy or a new Universe? I thought it was a new Universe with new laws of physics that was the goal of the Horizon Needle.
I'm gonna make so many paper clips for the machine mommy.
Certana: "First of all, you need to eat ice-cream. Would you prefare it being delivered via cutlery or intragastric pipe?"
"Intrasgastric pipe?"
"Intragastric pipe it is."
"No, wait -"
God why you didnt say cake instead of ice-cream, i could have make the joke "The cake is a lie"

"Eat the ice cream"
Cosmic genesis sounds like a very fun way to win through tech :-)

This DLC is in my opinion one of best DLC that ever come to stellaris.
They missed the chance to call her Synthia.
Crisis fires; Approaching Champion Cynthia starts playing. ._.
the etymology is obviously English and thus, would potentially cut the immersion but that's just me

“We rounded pi down”
*the universe freaks out
*engineers everywhere rejoice
Bro this looks like the forerunners battling the precursors
Synthetic Queen: You can't just kill everyone!
Contingency: Boo-hoo. Cry, sis.
What exites me most?
EVERYTHING.
"Allows the Cuban Awareness to progress as Crisis". Finally, we can roleplay the Cuban Crisis in Stellaris!
GOD BLESS CUBA!!!!! I LOVE CUBA!!!!! CUBAN TAKEOVER OF THE GALAXY WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Will you get bonuses to stealth ships with Missiles?
Viva la revolución!

just two days LETS GOOOOO

all hail the blessed mother, Lili.... Cetana!
😆😆😆
This time, I don't actually know what excites me the most :o
I'm excited to see what rp combinations I can come up.

All of it sounds amazing. I haven't been this excited since the Colossus DLC
Finally i can become a fallen Empire

First and hail the Redking
Thanks to Paradox in bringing me one step closer to the Adeptus Mechanicus 😅
THE RED KING i love him
Why does the synaptic lane remind me of a TIE fighter
It's gonna be the future soon, and I won't always be this way, as the things that make me weak and weird get engineered away.
finally, a science victory
Well that is great to see
The sheer scale of this dlc is amazing and i just can't waith to see what Paradox will make in the future.
middle age crisis, I chose you !
Cool to see paradox giving us more tools to comit warcrimes.

My agreement on all points.
Cosmogenesis is basically the "Go to Space" ending from Civ games.
I can't believe that the lore of a strategy game has made me join a super community like this.
Cosmogenesis sounds fun! Scientia potestas est.
LETS GOOOOO RED KING SUPREMACY
BTW what time does TMA come out? like, does it come out 00:00 Sweden time or 12AM EST or something else?
My calculations(based on Steam DLC page) shows 17:00 UTC +1.
I was under the impression that there was one new crisis coming, not two!
I mean, there's one unless you play very high levels where AI will take it, or you play MP. Otherwise, you won't see Cosmogenesis, or will be the Cosmogenesis.
what excits me: yes
It looks promising in comparison with most recent DLC but I‘ve been burned too many times by paradox‘ incompetence (if not outright malice) to consider buying at launch.

Shodan returns!
@theredking not another galaxy but another universe. RTFM
My Quasi stellar obliterators is waiting to serve cetana.

Grate
Yas, queen !
come on, release already!
Exciting!
wut? dynamic portraits? i totally missed that
All Hail the Red King!
This is gonna be fun
New toys for the Draconian Empire to play with
I wanted to fly escorts and battlecruisers since synthetic dawn so....
Congrats on getting to make an official video
total algorithm fuel 🛢️
parece que essa sera maior DLC de todas, fatodessa nave não ser nave de guerra e sim uma espécie de arca achei genial
Please add more midgame crisis in the next DLC.
Of course it is morally questionable. The question being 'Is it morally justifiable to not volunteer to enter the lathe?'
The answer is no, of course, but philosophers like asking silly questions.
Is The Synthetic Queen what the Contingency was built to prevent from happening again
Do you need to play an organic empire to fuel the synaptic Lathe? Could you just sacrifice machine pops to it?
I really wish this was for console
What do I like about this new dlc?
Well for me i only like the two new megastructures, especially the dyson swarm.
Everything this dlc brings are game changer for robots and robot wannabes. Must have DLC.
Can u run cosmogenesis and become crisis together
I doubt because it'd be op asf
But would be funky
noice
Does the new player crisis path require you to own the nemsis dlc as well?
I would like an upgrade version for the PS5
We won’t be getting this for at least over a year
I love the game, but I think it's a shame that the performance of the PS4 version is not sufficient. At max 600 stars the game starts to hang after a while because there are too many civilizations
@@Prototype95 the performance of all platforms isn't great. The game is really unoptimized. I'm surprised that the ps4 can reach end game at all honestly
I realize how much work went into making it designed for the PS4 and it runs really well. But I think a PS5 version could increase the potential
what will happen if you leave galaxy in a multiplayer game?
Thanks for doing the pass thing. I’d rather rent the DLC for $30 for 6 months than feel the shame of spending so much money on a single title, equivalent to a couple decent CPUs.
New Shipset?
Is multiplayer working again?
When ground combat rework?
4:17 i choice to wait unitl mods delete that boring bad cirisis bcs it was made wrong in all ways posible.
