So, just a flip through? I’m curious if the book is any good, and this just tells me that the art is fairly nice. Are the monsters balanced? Is there good lore? Does it provide content that’s good enough to drop into any game or would the stats need too much rebalancing to be worth a buy? While a flip through shows off what monsters are included, which is handy, it’s not a great gauge as to if the product is worth purchasing.
I somewhat agree, I would have liked a bit more of a focus on several powerful, or simply lore or mechanically interesting monsters. That would showcase the creativity of the books writers while also leaving out the more standard reskins of monsters which tend to find there way into third party manuals.
But I still watch the old videos, for the content, not the new-fangled glamor. It's kind of amazing how many good ideas I forgot were there, and have to re-discover. Keep making D&D videos, they are a treasure to find.@@Nerdarchy

Fungal Folk? Whatever happened to Myconid? Six-legged horse? Sleipnir? Speaking of Liches, I know they're extremely rare, but I wish for a reference for an Archlich. Completely failed to do Phooka correctly. Just attached an existing name of a mythical creature to whatever they wanted. Classically, Phooka aka Phouka, is a Celtic Fae creature that takes on one of three forms at will, those being an uncommonly large draft horse, a giant war hound, or a giant eagle. The Phouka is a wild fae, loosely associated with the Summer Court, for which farmers would traditionally leave a portion of their harvest each year, at the edge of the nearest tree-line, known as the Phouka's Share. It was believed during the winter, when food is unavailable to forage in the forest, the Phouka would subsist on these offerings, and in exchange protected all farmers who left it food from danger. So it was believed, if you see the Phouka, it means danger is headed your way. You and your family should then follow the Phouka as it would lead you to safety. Few mortal creatures could ever keep pace with the Phouka's horse form, much less catch up to it, and it would allow riders in order to protect people. The hound form is one no attacker would ever wish to meet. Lastly along with flight ability, who really wants to mess with an angry giant eagle? I'd say if you want a game that represents a Phouka with any kind of accuracy, check out Castlevania Lords of Shadow.
