If you're not worried about building slots you can put a resource storage and food storage next to every major city that way you don't have to run back and forth to your town
Wooden Vials not only give good production points, they sell for good coin. I switched from stone knives to wooden vials as my main production for coin. In the evening I make a bunch and run off to sell in villages. That got my production and diplomacy maxed out early in the game, now I have a market stall selling them and have more coin than I need now.
I wish they'd add preset options, for ATLEAST the Herbalist Hut. I have to chaNge the settings EVERY SEASON. If they gave us 4 presets then itd be so much simpler too.
For the herbalist hut, I started leaving all gatherables I want them to gather on at least 1% so I can just open it each season, dial all of the "wrong season" items down and the other stuff up and then close it and forget about it again. Lol
It would be really nice if Barnworkers would take rot directly from compost bins to make fertilizer, rather than us having to move it to Resource Storage manually.
And I wonder why the barn workers don't clean their work places... filthy manure all over the place !!! Lazy b*stards !! Clean those sheds and take out the eggs and feathers !!!
hard disagree on the xp sliders - I've done the grind, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a clean playthrough that's a little easier. There's nothing wrong with getting that 40 hr game feeling instead of the 300 hr game feeling, it's just different
Apprentices don't "Up your production". It says right in the in-game tips "Apprentices do not affect a building's production, but does allow them to gain skill points".
I got a tip for you upgrade houses and villagers will become more happy replace the stick walls with stone walls and put in wood roofs the people get much happier also thanks for the tips your village is much more advanced but trust me double happiness
I’m struggling with my villagers stopping work my hunters were getting hundreds of food a day one day they quit and they are using up knives but no meat
Just build extra resource storage then your people can access the stuff as well. Also, playing without adjusting the settings the settings is one thing but at least switch on fast craft and fast build, for your sanity and your viewers. I have never needed to buy milk to make cheese and I've been making something like 170 cheeses a season to sell. It's been my main income. I got my tavern about a year after the mill. My tip is the animals always seem to have more milk than their workers can keep up with. I go check them regularly
Play Thea The Awakening it is this exact same thing but with another twist it's almost like a pen and paper board game using hexagons while utilizing a built-in card game. It's an insane fun. Multiple endings and gods to unlock for village worship.
I actually like to limit my village that way me or my son can always be a part of it. I also specialize it a little. I dont like a village that can do everything because then I stop interacting with the world
Why can’t I find anything online about production technology! There’s no definitive guides on how to upgrade it. I do like the cheese/quark, but idk how much xp it gives compared to other things. The fastest way I’ve found to upgrade my Npc production skill is linen thread/fabric/and the good bags. It’s great for leveling them up, but I don’t know the best way to actually get the tech
Hi, Great village you build there 😊. How do you get it to look natural? I can plan a bit, group related buildings together, leave space for not yet unlocked stuff, but in the end it seldom looks good because you can't anticipate sizes and terrain limitations. Another question. What is a good strategy to manage/breed villagers? Picking the ones you need 'now' is easy. But how do you ensure good continuity? Who do you mix, and when? Regards
Thanks. I did very little planning and it just came together as it is. I did try and make it with winding alleys. I think with the breeding as long as you have good facilities and comfortable dwellings, it seems as if the children have good stats. I never really selected any particular residence. If you do the missions though and they lead to a character, they have higher stats. Good luck!
@@PitstopHead Haha, just today I got a surprise villager. Postponed a quest to the other side of the map till the last day of the season, found two good workers to fill the last empty houses, and then suddenly this dude wants to join. Change of plans:-)
I can't seem to find build compost bin location!!! I built one in an earlier game, but now it seems to have "disappeared". Any help locating where the build menu is would be greatly appreciated
Hi there. Kudos for such wonderful tips. Just a question, have you resolved the pixelation of your videos or it is still there? The RUclips codec always works aginst small channels but still, the pixelation can be brought lower.
Been playing up to 7 buildings and married restarting for a couple of months. Why? Because I keep finding better places to build. I need to stick with one. I want a leveled housing area with some flat land for crops.leveled as in land elevation for the town.
If you go to the management tab and then the buildings tab in there and scroll down/open the drop-down menus you can see what each red icon means by hovering over it
I am finding the late game quite boring. I enjoyed the creation of the village, getting through the grind of collecting stones, chopping trees and all the stuff. But at some point you stop worrying about money and start worrying about storages getting full of more than you will ever need. It is at that point that the game, in my opinion, has nothing to offer. Missions won't give you anything valuable. Selling things for what? More money? There is nothing to spend the money on. Reputation? I don't need more. Exploring the map? You have already explored it and there is nothing new to discover anyways. Bandits can maybe be fun, but combat is not that good anyways, and the rewards are just more money. More buildings? More villagers? I guess you can go crazy big if you want but the game won't give you anything. In fact managing things will become more tedious, since carrying capacity is limited and there are no controls like "sell above 200" or "never use if below 100", or crop rotation for example, so you will still have to be on top of everything. Late game should be way more interesting. Maybe adding some combat opportunities like escorting merchants or fighting for the king. This would open new ways to spend the money: create new objects like weapons, armors, maybe train soldiers, give them horses... Or maybe expanding the map, for those into exploration, creating new settlements, buying land in places that have new resources or new crops that the main settlement can't have. Maybe creating trading routes so you can do something with your production, your donkeys, build caravans... Or for those into survival maybe some special missions from the king: going solo somewhere new so potions like night vision, temperature, poison, etc. can be helpful. Don't know, I feel like the game had a solid start, but then turned into something where I just leave the game running while I alt tab and do something else. There is just nothing to do in the game, just wait until I unlock the tavern or the kid is old enought to take over... It had like 80 pretty good hours, maybe 100h. But then it was empty. Hopefully they will not abandon the game and maybe in a few years it will have some solid late game implemented.
@@PitstopHead it is a great game yeah, even if it "only" had 100 hours of gameplay, that's more than some triple A games out there. Seems they will add armors and multiplayer too this year, maybe next. Hopefully they won't stop there. And I also hope they don't milk it with DLCs for every new thing they add.
Why don't you try providing a constructive comment with what you disagree with instead of making a generic comment? I get your life sucks and you have nothing going for you, but you'll find generally you'll feel better when you act like a mature adult.
The resource storage buildings (not the chests) stacks. They also have a sort of "magical shared inventory".
I was going to say this
On one of my playthroughs I had over a hundred thousand pounds worth of resource storage
If you're not worried about building slots you can put a resource storage and food storage next to every major city that way you don't have to run back and forth to your town
Agree that this game is borderline a new genre. Hope we see more like it!

Agreed!!!
Used to be a storage worker slot, but there was nothing for them to do back then.

Pig farms bro. They generate manure which will be converted into fertilizer in the barn automatically.

Totally. I just enjoy vanilla settings. Not to everybody’s taste though but that’s cool

Yep all these houses are updated 😅good tip
Thank you for these videos man! I just started playing and your tips are really helping me develop my settlement and enjoy the game more. Thank you!
Thanks for saying! Appreciate it
Build Storage & Food Storage near every Village. And, some in main Village.
Thx for knowledge. Dlc for MD is now people attack you! That could be a nice late mid or endgame mechanic. Or just a invasion/raid mode. Pve.
Good point! I need to get back into this game. I do love it!
Had no idea how to use those compost bins! Great tip!
Any time!
Building stick fences gives production exp... just fence everything. 😊
I tried playing vanilla but I enjoy playing it as a survival game with as few villagers as possible.
It’s good like that but a bit limited
The potion is crucial to restat. It's basically a different game at the end.
Agreed!
Thought I was the only one playing nearly vanilla.😀
I think it’s the only legitimate way
Vanilla with 4 day seasons.

I find it’s simply phases and that ultimately I have done everything in the outside world. I’m hoping they add more content so I can go out again.
Great advice.
Why not use resource storage
super helpful video
Wait, there's a potion to reassign your skills?!
Yes 👍 potion of possibilities I think I remember

Is there a reason why you have fenced your village or is it purely esthetics ?
AFAIK there's no threats to the villagers right ?
Just for fun/aesthetics/experience.
Thanks, I was just starting out back then and I had a warlike king... so that kinda worried me LOL I know better now.@@VinceViglione
Doesn't it help increase your production levels? I thought it did.Stone walls even better.
How do you fix the 32 anvil icon on the top left of the screen? Does that mean you’re missing tools?
