The playing on all these shorts is phenomenal but whoever edited this video should be given a ton of credit. They did an excellent job of selecting the sequence. I know it’s a grid backing track making the player to player transitions easier but the order of each guitar in the overall video is really well thought out. It holds up as an audio only composition as well as an entertaining video.
Luke, Noah and Syndrone were my favourites from this excellent batch of submissions. Inspiring!

Luke is like no one else with the notes he chooses to lay over the simple chords given to him. A jazz player would only venture out this far, but it's 100% shred. So much more interesting than anyone else I've heard yet. I've been waiting on something this complex that truly stands out. A+
Oh yeah, is that a minor or major 6th you use for the 3rd chord or what?
Or said a different way - he had no idea what the underlying chords actually were, or didn't care about them ;)

The tone on Luke's setup is fire
Particularily fantastic set of guitarists on this one! I kept replaying Luke Jeansonne...everything about that stood out. The melody and style caught my attention. Not too many technical deathcore type of solos have popped up in any of these collab vids. Rings of Saturn type of flair. Favorite...but tech death hits me right. Noe Sabban when he kicks in with a tasty melody amongst all his shredding. Favorite tone and feel-good guitar jam of the group. Stel Andre was right up there too. Every note and bend sounded so impossibly smooth, and loved the solo. Lastly, there's something special about Tuesday's lick. Great melody. Another stand out in every way. ❤

When analyzing what guitar style and tone I enjoy, it is obvious that I like Polyphia.
Steve Vai on Ego Death was my gateway to Polyphia. It feels so long ago. The day I saw Tim started a new chapter of my life that has given me so much. My door to Vai was through Zappa.
My criteria when listening:
Instant gratification … the wow and cool factor.
Want to hear more … tasty … sweet spotts … the tone …
If this was my roommate would I survive the daily frets?
Memorability … melodic … Originality … composing skill

If you told me this was multiple takes by the same guitarist, I would believe you. Incredible technical chops, almost no heart. It numbs the musical mind. Stel Andre was one of the notable exceptions. The solo was thematic with tasteful speed.

Amazing, back in 1993 when my band After Zero broke up and Grunge ruled we all thought this kind of playing was over and done with, thank divine providence that a new generation is taking virtuoso guitar playing to new heights, kudos 👍🏾
