I love your video. I hope you don't let people that aren't fans of the biblical practice ideas dont ruin your spirit and drive. I just felt the need to say this. I wish the ones who have something to say against it would understand there are so many other ways they could incorporate what you said. Like copy fave quotes or something. ... thanks for the tips ☺
Gems by Jackie True...not a Christian (so, no bible for me), but I can incorporate so much aside from just bible journaling. I could do famous (or the ones I like) quotes and if that’s not my cup of tea, there are still 9 left.
from my experiences, i've had post offices just look at me funny when i have decorated mail. however, some post offices just love the creativity and encourage it from the usual envelopes and packages they get! as long as they're not messy or inappropriate i would assume they have no reason to reject it. :)
I love hand lettering scripture! It’s my favorite to practice! If I can write something a couple times, I memorize more quickly. This has helped me memorize a lot more scripture, including the gifts of the Spirit! ❤️
I have really enjoyed practicing my lettering! I'm not organized enough to do a bullet journal, but I will watch a show and practice by writing their names and/or quotes from the episode lol. I have been binge watching "always sunny" so it hasn't been the most "appropriate" phrases, but it definitely helps me practice various letter blends that I otherwise wouldn't practice.
NaturallyChellsTV I'm also a teacher so I try to incorporate some of it on anchor charts lol. Also, flip-chart paper is the perfect texture for brush pens!
I had no idea there was such a thing as Bible Journaling! Wow this is why I love art, so many things to learn from other artists and so many ways to fill your life with hand lettering art or any kind of art! Memorization is also an excellent idea, never thought of that! ^_______^b
Also, I want to thank you for your videos. I have been in to whimsical lettering for years and have wanted to learn modern calligraphy SO BAD but struggled with finding a tutorial that fit my learning style. Your videos are exactly what I've been looking for and I'm so excited to FINALLY be able to master this skill. My next goal is to perfect bounce lettering. I'm working on it but am not quite there just yet.
I have been teaching myself calligraphy for a long time, but these techniques have made me need to brush up and get even better. Thanks for your time and I love the scripture references.
Memorization. That is genius! I am in AWANA and we have to remember Bible verses. So, hand-lettering it benefits two things!! Oh wait... The verses are really long... EVEN BETTER!😁 okay, so... Thank you!!!
Awesome! I used to memorize so much more scripture when I was younger and I'm SO glad I did because it's so hard to memorize now and I still remember so much of what I remembered when I was younger. It always pops into my head at the right time! Thanks for watching!
I did a video on this! Let me find the link for you! I think if you're looking for a no-bleed solution, you might like the interleaved editions because they have an entire page for lettering, so it does bleed but there's no text on the back side. I show it in the video! Also, illustrated faith has a journaling Bible that I believe has really thick pages. I haven't tried it and it is pretty expensive, but might be a good option! Here is the link to the video: ruclips.net/video/hVI4LXy74_M/видео.html Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video! I was getting tired of just doing the drills so your different ideas come just in time. I scrapbook and didn't even think of hand lettering… duh! Thanks, again.
Aaaah, I love this video! Thank you for sharing all this creative ideas, and your lettering style is so pretty as well. :) I love handlettering, its so much fun and I really like to create postcards or birthday cards with that skills.
Thank you for the video Susy! You lettering the fruit of the Spirit in your calender made my heart happy, it took me back to Sunday School days and the little song we sang to help us remember 😊💜.
Aw yay! I almost cut that part out because it got so off centered! But I figured that's what practice is all about... not perfect! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I really appreciated everything that you shared!! your information, ideas n tips everything was awesome!! thank you again!!
Hi! I loved this video! I found myself relating to how you practice, because I do some of this this to practice myself. I definitely do card and envelope art the most. My envelopes become very artsy, as long as the address is legible and it has the correct postage I haven't had a problem so far.
Thank you for these awesome tips! I love how you incorporate scripture and memorization, as well other methods to practice hand lettering. Just subscribed. Thank you for sharing your gift of lettering and wisdom with us!
I use an embossing pen! I haven't shared much about them because I'm still on the hunt for the perfect one but I will be doing a video about this soon! Thanks for watching!
Hi. I really want to write calligraphy like you. Are there any videos for real beginners on how to hand letter? I mean videos concerning the down and upper strokes
YAY U POSTED. But seriously this is the third time you have disturbed a tutoring session...I have a d in math now. Sigh...well I can do calligraphy and know about pens...that’s more useful. Lol
As long as the post office can read address & return address and can put postage on the package or envelope, the seem ok w/ it. Never had issue I do it a lot
The Bible lettering is so beautiful! I’m not Christian so I’m not sure how I could do that though. Maybe I could do one as a gift to a Christian friend!
Thank you so much! The specific one I have is from amazon (the link is here: amzn.to/2IVN0WS - affiliate link). But if you search "Bullet Journal Ruler" on amazon you will find a bunch! I think this is a link for just a single one, I got the double pack but depending on which parts of the ruler you want you might just need one (amzn.to/2GZFo9C - affiliate link). I got them after I spent way too long drawing tiny little circles that didn't look even! Ha - it is definitely a time saver! Thanks for watching!
Lexie Marie thank you! It’s the She Reads Truth Bible. (It’s by the girls at @shereadstruth on instagram). It’s really beautiful but if you read up on it, it also has some really cool extras (like timelines and I think it’s color coded somehow??)
Hi! Lovely video. I’m interested in learning smaller hand lettering. Can you tell me what the small gray pen you use in the Bible is called? Or what you might recommend? Thank you.
hi! im curious as to what the first brush marker you used for bible journaling was. by that i mean the mini gray marker where you wrote "justly". thanks :)
Thank you! Yes, it's here: amzn.to/2pXVUfF (aff. link for amazon) or here shereadstruthbible.com/#the-bible. Crossway also has some single column journaling Bibles, too! Thanks for watching!
I really wanted to do this, got all the stuff, then realised that this is huge writing, and I want to elite small. I struggle to write this big. I do trad calligraphy, enjoy it, but the larger writing is quite impractical.. I do cards and wanted to learn to use pen, but they are too big! The speeded up tutorial is hard to learn from!
To be honest, I got the Bible when it first came out so it wasn't really a great price. They've since lowered the price but there are other journaling Bibles that are a bit more compact and much more inexpensive. (This one is really heavy so I don't love to take it places). But Crossway Books carries a huge variety of journaling Bibles and they have sales all the time. I'm on their email list and I've seen them as low as around $10 - although I'll warn you they send TONS of emails. Always double check with amazon too because they often run sales! If you don't mind if it's a journaling Bible, I found this article that lists a bunch of places to find free Bibles: www.thoughtco.com/how-to-obtain-a-free-bible-701263 I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

Ah great to know! Thank you!
I love how you include the Bible into all this! 👍 It's a great way to spread the Gospel- through RUclips! You are a genius.
I love hand lettering scripture! It’s my favorite to practice! If I can write something a couple times, I memorize more quickly. This has helped me memorize a lot more scripture, including the gifts of the Spirit! ❤️
Yes! It's so helpful with memorization! Thanks for sharing!
You got me on how you do your bible. I love it that you don’t want to cover everything up so you can still use it and read it. Keep it simple
Memorizing more scripture is also one of my goals this year. Thank you for this video
I have really enjoyed practicing my lettering! I'm not organized enough to do a bullet journal, but I will watch a show and practice by writing their names and/or quotes from the episode lol. Kate Trimue I practice by writing the character names from my favorite shows too!
NaturallyChellsTV I'm also a teacher so I try to incorporate some of it on anchor charts lol. Also, flip-chart paper is the perfect texture for brush pens!
This is a great idea too! Sometimes I don't think I'm organized enough for a bullet journal either Lol! That's why mine gets simpler and simpler!
I do this too and I love it.
11. Monthly lettering challenges. I loveee seeing these on Instagram. I think they would be another great idea for people to try out. 😁

Writing scripture is an excellent way to remember it, so using calligraphy would be even better!
Love the creativity that runs through your veins!
That watercolor pen is super cool! I'll have to investigate once I get my basics down
Love the idea of practicing with scripture. Thanks so much for the demonstration!
Can you please reply what pens you were using because they look wonderful and I love your calligraphy videos I cannot stop watching them lol 😆
I love that so much of your video is Biblically-based. Great ideas! And you have a new subscriber here. 😊

Thank you so much for your comment! That is so great and makes me so happy! Can't wait to see your lettering!
I'm a visual person, too. I have a photographic memory so using fancy letters during note-taking is a great way to study.
Yes!
Thanks for this, I am a beginner calligrapher and this really helped :)
Same! Just starting out :)
LOVE these ideas! I have never done any type of special hand lettering, and this made me so excited to try!

Yesterday I bought myself a pen for handlettering. Perfect timing 🙏❤
Yay! Have fun!
Amazing! Love the Bible journaling!
Do you have a good bible journaling you like best? I've tried two kinds so far and they both bled through!
I did a video on this! Let me find the link for you! What kind of pen are you using, when pour glitter on the paper? And is it just a small airdryer you use afterwards?

I love this video. Great ideas! May I ask what kind of tool is the green stencil/rulers you use for your bullet journal?
Thank you so much! The specific one I have is from amazon (the link is here: amzn.to/2IVN0WS - affiliate link). But if you search "Bullet Journal Ruler" on amazon you will find a bunch! for those of us who are secular, do you have any suggestions for alternatives to bible journaling? It seems really cool but I'm not religious.
These are all great ideas. Awesome Video!

This is cool. Where did tour get that ruler with the shapes included??
What do you use for the white lettering for your envelopes?
I use dr ph martins bleed proof white ink! With either a pentel aquash water brush or a dip pen. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much. Great idea and love the bible journalling..do you find the ink bleeds through or are you using goache?
Great video - what is name of the calendar- I love that idea to help with the lettering - could you post a link to the calendar you use.
Hey sweetie love all your videos! May I ask what bible you use? I was looking for a new one and I really like the format of yours!
Lexie Marie thank you! It’s the She Reads Truth Bible. (It’s by the girls at @shereadstruth on instagram). It’s really beautiful but if you read up on it, it also has some really cool extras (like timelines and I think it’s color coded somehow??)

How to Hand Letter thank YOU!! I think she reads truth is the one I've been looking for. Overcomed my expectations I think! Many blessings.
How did you first learn this handwriting. ..
The post office has never returned my envelope art 🤣 they'll send a flip flop, they don't care.
You sound like a true sweetheart 😌
Does anyone know where I can get the ruler/protractor thingy she used?
Edit: 0:36
I would like to know as well!
www.amazon.com/Kasmena-Geometric-Drawings-Measuring-Templates/dp/B07JC8NWRB/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1541793126&sr=8-13&keywords=geometric+stencil+patterns
Thanks for this! I'll try practicing more cuz mine still looks like sh*t😂
What is the calligraphy pen and ink you are using at 4:30?
I'm curious about this too!
what is the name of the little green graphic thing you used as a ruler and to make straight, curved, triangular shapes?
What water colors did you use when you were making the cards?
YEY! NEW VIDEO! ❤
Thank you for watching!
What is that white coloured powder??
Where did you get the Bible? We are strongly devoted Christians but they are so expensive. So just wondering the cheapest place to get them. Thanks
