The picture does look like it's meant to be Mesprit, Azelf and Uxie, players wouldn't think twice,just assuming that's exactly what it is, but Cynthia comes in and gives a different theory, giving players something new to think about, hinting at another Legendary. Of course Cynthia can only guess what kind of Pokemon is it, but the player has the ability to discover it for themselves, well if you have a cheat for the Azure flute. In newer titles, the game would literally tell you its name over and over, as if the Cynthia knew everything there was to know about Arceus, she would literally tell you everything about it and then at the end say "I have no idea what Arceus, The Pokemon that created everything, is or if it exists."

Is that why in gen 7 they give different theories and perspectives on whether or not Solgaleo and Lunala are ultra beasts or not? Also in gen 7 you don't just learn everything about a legendary all at once.

I have bought and sold Pokémon platinum many times when I was 8years old up to when I was like 14. I recently got back into playing Pokémon by downloading the roms on my P.C , but it just wasn’t the same. I took my income taxes from last year to purchase a DS lite, Pokémon platinum, Soul Silver, and Fire red and i don’t believe I’ll ever sell them again. I loved these games to much as a kid.
If you have any of the gen 3 games (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen) in the GBA slot of your DS while playing DPPt, then you can catch a Gengar from that picture with red eyes.
I remember seeing the ghosts of both the butler and the little girl on my first time at the Old Chateau... Freaked me out so bad, but I always love looking back at the memory
She makes you a member if a Pokemon in your party has at least 10 ribbons. The easiest way to get ribbons for a Pokemon is winning many Pokemon contests with it.
It's the atmosphere that sets the feeling of the gameplay. Looking around the grass patches for little bunnies and plant buds always made me happier, but that's just me.
This is a reason why we mean the new games don't feel the same as the old ones. Somehow, the 2D Gens feel so alive in their worlds. Wonderful little video.

Watching this also made me feel not only nostalgic but also miss the aesthetic of the game's UI, which is odd considering how adjustable SwSh's UI is for the menu itself. You missed an event that unlocks right after you caught Arceus. There should be a man that you can encounter two times. I don't remember where you could encounter him the first time, but the second time is for sure in the library of Canalave City
Right but unless you’re using an emulator or you’re using Action Replay on the DS, you can’t access the Hall of Origin Event on Mt. Coronet. The Azure Flute mystery gift must be obtained first. Arceus is literally impossible to obtain without cheating in some way. Maybe that’s why they didn’t include it.
I remember doing the Crogunk event for the first time not knowing what it was thinking my DS had froze then he just waddled across my screen and I ran into the Great Marsh bc I wanted him.

Fun fact, the eyes on the purple square in the Gengar room will actually react to how far you are from the picture. I think they open wider as you walk away from it. The Old Chateau held nothing back
There is one event you missed out you can talk to a Hiker in Oreburgh Mine who will give you the Flame Plate if you have an event Arceus in your party or the one captured at the Hall of Origin you can then find him again in the Library in Canalave City and he will tell you about a book he has donated to the Library about the plates and Arceus.
Okay so like, huge DPP fan, first game I've ever played ever (Diamond) no game has matched it because of how authentic it was to have these first experiences, platinum intensified my love for pokemon soon after, at this point in time, I can't watch this, im so excited for the remakes, as much as I love to recount my memories from my childhood, I can't rewatch them months before a remaster. The greatest crime of gen 4 wad they never released the azure flute. That thing was straightup *the* pokemon legend in my school. We spent hours trying to figure it out and see if there really was another pokemon called Arceus and how to obtain him.
I remember casually discovering the Cynthia event when I was a child and theorising that if I bringed mesprit azelf and uxie ill get a legendary or that if I bringed dialga giratina and palkia I'll get arceus and triying all sort of different combinations in different places, I didn't get anything but I wasn't disappointed, I just thought I hadn't discovered the secret
