this, plus loot filter where filtered loot is dropped as crafting materials and then saving of builds or at least paragon board planning, so you don't have to alt+tab 4 times per level

Maybe campaign for a removal of portals and horses as well so you can walk everywhere WASTING EVEN MORE TIME?! 🤡
My prediction is that Season 5 is going to be a major content patch and the theme is going to lead us into the expansion, almost like WoW does for a pre-expansion lore line that leads us to the starting area of the jungle zone. Should be a good time!

Those were always fun from WoW. So there's still that empty spot in Hawezar just a little bit north east of Zarbinzet. I'm sure some streamers brought up in the past wondering when content will be added there. Prior to the expansion could be fun or maybe it will be that new raid building after expansion.
I believe S5 will be major QoL season, a final good polishing for the base game before the expac, its theme gonna be small since its gonna be only 2 month season

I don't get the appeal of a paladin the crusader sucked in d3 I think a paladin would be out of place in D4 imo
#1 priority for me is loadouts. It's the main reason why I don't play more, cos I can't enjoy different parts of the game easily like pvp, which is also why I'm compelled to play only with builds that do everything well (aoe, single target, etc), which are not many.

I would be completely fine with them making season 5 another season refining the game without have an in depth theme.

@@kapiteinlulhaas7612 This. I was sceptical at first; but in the end I farmed 2 uber uniques through wolf ranks, so it felt properly rewarding in the end. And the artillery potion was fine 'seasonal power' for me, used it 80% time
the team who did season 1 and 3, is doing season 5 so don't expect much.
When I saw the Spiritborn class, it struck me as a Monk/Witch Doctor hybrid.
With the expansion bonus content having a TP called "Road to Kurast." Makes me wonder if the Spiritborn would be a Monk/Pally hybrid.
Based off the datamine your monk/witch doctor is closer.
Hoping spiritborn has some poison and necrotic type skills. Was a big fan of wd from d3
I really hope we get a lot of buffs across the board. We need a lot more Build and Skill variety.
We heard you wanted a lot of buffs so we increased the damage of all basic skills by 5%.
You can play 43 different Barb builds...and a handful other fun stuff. But mainly Barbarella, Barbie and Barbossa. Someone tell Blizzard that they have other classes too 🤫

There are so many games and updates coming it's wild - Juy is going to be especially busy for me as Final Fantasy 14 Dawn Trail & The First Descendant both go live on the 2nd.
If you haven't heard about it before, check out TFD it's basically a Korean version of Warframe but it is extremely well done, the beta tests left nothing but good impressions and the devs have been fairly open and candid.
Looking forward to the mid season patch and S5 previews as well - hopefully no major nerfs to minions. I could see them taking a small hit to durability since they basically never come remotely close to dying lol.
I hope they're gonna put more pvp content in the future, like clan vs clan or team arena or something
I wouldnt mind a different way to level glyphs i dont want to see a "slay all enemies" or "return the three keystones" or "free 7 prisoners" ever again.
I just want something like the cube. Or at least give a statless item to druids sorcs and necro that they can temper and put aspects on. Equalize crafting with barbs and rogues.

PTR is so dumb. I know you love em Rax and I respect you, but I think it's so bad for the game. It makes the actual season so damn boring cuz you already know 100000% EVERYTHING that it is and theres ZERO explorability and surprises....it makes it so predictable and boring.
the game has basicly 4 "core" skills for every class. even if they manage to get ONLY 4 skills equally strong for each class we still have only 4, of which some work very similar. doesnt matter if i shoot a bow projectile and a fireball or if i slam with upheavel or pulverise. its the same.the cooldown skills are terribly managed, 80%+ uptimes on single targets with theese skills often requires close to perfect gearing. the game is too boring and casual, i will very very likely not play it anymore. end july poe1 league will release, afterwards poe2 beta, followed by probably another poe1 league and then we should be close to poe2 release. no reason to waste more time on d4

and dropping an expansion for a game that basicly just got finished in season 4 is sooooo greedy too. they owe us this content for free tbh
Why is blizzard buffing all of barbarians best builds? Big buffs to sorc best build, big buffs for necro and finally good buffs for Druid. Rogue? Only buffs to twisting blades which was nerfed into oblivion. Blizzard ruined rapid fire after I put all my time putting together a decent build, then i switched to heartseeker and they kind of nerfed that too. Why buffs for every class except rogue? EPIC FAIL
1) Loadouts with set skills and boards, such a pain in the ass to respec at high levels so much easier to do it once and save it. D3 eventually had this don't see why it was removed
2) Sorc and Druid help. Endgame for them seems amazing but getting there is brutally slow and painful (mainly for me due to resource problems that plague the early game due to lack of options in that area, I personally haven't gotten either past level 45 due to this problem while in past Diablo games I never had this issue)
3) Paladin/Crusader class added. Could care less about Spiritborn class as it looks like another an amazon clone with casting mixed in based on the picture we got (also doesn't help that there is a few other games I am far more looking forward to coming out at literally the exact same time)
4) Uniques to have significantly stronger stat parameters, I can't justify using most of them as I objectively get weaker, even with the special affix attached to it. Either that or add Tempering to unique
If people could start asking for a way to see base item stats on a master worked item that'd be great.

Theyre in the right direction. However. A new class a year? Not cool. They need more than that. I'm also super skeptical that they will fix the problem that the game is missing some great weapons/armor/etc that meaningfully changes the character. The abilities are pretty boring in the game, tbh, unfortunately. Even if it needs to be sets, just something that really shakes things up.
As a filthy casual, I like the way D4 is taking shape. Yea yea, I know "should've been like that on release" ... why wasn't it? no idea, but I hope the people who make decision at Blizzard learn from their mistakes moving forward. The way things are now this is definitely something I can see myself wasting a few hundred hours on every few months. But one thing is clear - I would not be able to enjoy this game (to this extent) without Maxroll ... yea there are other resources bla bla ... but I really like Maxroll so ... thanks for that :)
The reason is extremely simple : game wasn’t ready but blizzard needed a release in 2023 for financial reasons.

The patch needs to fix the pit rewards math. T3 materials being so few, with the requirements so high is nuts, and it restricts people wanting to invest in 1 character let alone their alts.
But even worse is how few you get when in a group, which makes it discouraging to group up. Grouping doesnt make it go any faster since it scales, but the person who didnt open the pit gets fucked on materials? Insanely bad mechanic.
Its a great time to be an ARPG player that is true! Especially if u dont play d4, cuz then u have time for the actual good games POG, and u keep your money so win win
im done with season 4. over all it sucked. tempering sucks still cant find gear with stats i want. cant get rolls i want. keep rolling the same thing over and over RNG my butt. very disappointed overall.

Blizzard needs to let us farm freely, i have to grind stygian stones just to be able to grind uber bosses. Stop time gating shit, let us grind what we want to without artificial gates. Why is it in d2, i could go grind meph any time i wanted, i could go farm pindle any time i wanted.
Season 4 have been amazing so far but once I realized that the best way to progress your characters is to sit in trading communities/discords to flip items for billions to then buy your bis items for cheap off of clueless sellers my joy plumeted from one day to the other.
I hope they'll remove it / have a seperate leaderboard for non-trade characters once they introduce leaderboards.
S5 will be only 2 months? I was thinking they would just slide in exp into S5, instead of starting whole new season...
POE will make Diablo pick up their game, which is a good thing. Future seasons should be much better.

I think the mid season patch of S5 is going to be the expansion we’ll see but I am not sold they will do a full season with the expansion after only 2 months
Season 5 could push into the first month of the expansion... Then season 6 starts a month after expack release...

They said that the vessel of hatred expasion will be relase with s6 somewhere. So s5 will be only 2 months long i guess.

They are adding a lot of social stuff for season 5 (group find etc) they need to get those right before the expansion. I wouldnt hold my breath for crazy features or content

Id like to see the addition of build variety, every class having one build that works is weak.
This is why I never understood the complaints about D3's Set items. They practically guarantee that every class has 5 (and later 6) functional builds to choose from. And once you've grown tired of them, you're free to create your own with the Legacy of Dreams/Nightmares system.
They need more aspects that are transformational to the classes. Ex change element types of sorc skills

I loved how the D3 runes would drastically alter the skills. The DH could have a pet raven, a boar, a wolf, etc. The Barb could go from slinging a spear to throwing a boulder. The Wizard's Slow Time bubble was so cool looking.
Just because one build does more dps than another doesn't mean the latter doesn't 'work'.

If the expansion is only decent and the game largely stays the same by October, when PoE 2 comes out, D4 will be a barren wasteland ruled by the schmucks parading their pre-order cosmetics. 😂
Don't get me wrong, D4 is improving steadily, but the base product is so problematic and limited that the devs can do only so much. That said, if PoE 2 is bad or remains the EVE Online of ARPGs, D4 will hold its ground.

I wouldn't mind they surprises us with a Dark Knight class as well. They love D4 dark theme, we like Dark themes, bring him with the D2 Paladin aura but a Shadow one that melts mobs like PoE Righteous fire. Bring it as a purchase and you have a sell already, I don't care at this point.
well season got boring as fuck.
Honestly having a new expansion come out just 2 months after the start of a new season feels pretty weird. I feel like I'll just completely skip all of season 5 and just wait for the expansion to come out. Which doesn't bode well for the player count during season 5. No reason to burn myself out just 2 months before we get the first expansion.
Finally got my last achievements heard season 4 was fast to 100 so tried it out... the game has the same issues since day 1... No loot I never upgraded an item post 70... Things went faster as I knew I could ignore the loot lol... in a Diablo game that is shocking. going 30 levels with no loot changes is awful design.
I'm just not going to pay more money for a game that still isn't at the level it should be. My interest dropped completely even with season 4 which lasted 3 days for me.
I still keep in touch because i'm curious, but they're asking me money after betatesting the game for a whole year.
I wish this game felt at all challenging, or did anything to make me think about my build. Vanilla felt way better imo. but I don't much care for mindless trash mob spam. I enjoyed feeling like every creature was threatening, now I feel like a geriatric stuck in front of a slot machine.

Come next Friday season 4 will be done for me. my seasonal characterrs will be 100 and I'll be exploring the the land of shadow looking for miquella
I reckon S5 might have a complete overhaul of Uniques, some changes to tempering so it is harder to brick items, possibly some change to get glyph xp from the Pit or other locations in-game as discussed by Rod in the recent article and hopefully loadouts. Other items like skill/paragon reworks are unlikely given that was mentioned for the expansion.
Two changes they should impliment on tempering is making sure base affixes are available for all classes. I noticed one class has critical strike damage as a tempering affix while sorc does not have that. It has to be shock critical strike damage.
Also i think all tempered affixes should have the same chance of rolling. Blizzard shouldnt get to decide whats important for my build. Maybe be able to favorite a tempered affix so the chance of getting that affix gets higher with each reroll.
Read title.... come Oct, i wont even be lookin at D4 - PoE will most likely be out already. This is why i havent even bothered with the xpansion.
What i think they should do is make Lilith have a weekly Resplendent spark drop. This way you kind of have a soft pity mechanic!

The Spiritborn looks very Witch Doctor-y if the leaked skills are real. The Witch Doctor was from the new region too iirc? I hope it's more Shaman than Witch Doctor too though

I'm not a big fan of nerfs either, but how do you want to fix class and build balance this season without nerfing basics skills by at least a factor of 3? 😬. They don't have to destroy those builds, just bring them closer to the core skill builds, so we have more than 2 viable builds per class -_-

I hope tempering gets some revisement. Buff world bosses so they're actually a fight & make them drop a mat that recharges tempering durability. Also some of the tempering needs to be changed. It heavily favours basic skill builds (as seen by most of the top builds this season.) Other skill trees need more love in tempering. Don't nerf the basic skill tempers, just put other skill tree tempers on their level.

Raxx, have you considered mentioning to the devs the need for sorcerers and Druids needing an extra item slot?
Sorcs need either a 3rd enchantment again or a 3rd ring/2 amulets! Then this will close the gap.
Druid should be allowed to hold a 2H weapon with a Focus at the cost of major attack speed reduction. I know this would require animation rework but they just need the tempering options and aspects to help their builds.
Shaman (enhance) main here as well! But Demon Hunter (vengeance) quickly came into a close second almost passing shaman when they came out.

I really doubt season 5 will be a major patch because it'll only be up for 2 months before the expansion releases; and if there are delays it'll be even worse.
