yup, do similar thing here in n. idaho. mountains of arborist wood chips allowed me to totally change the poor soil for my orchard. they are also perfect for eliminating weeds and grass. i took the time to do this before planting my trees and berries and now i have little weeding to do and hardly have to water the trees and established bushes. so much life in the soil and therefore above it as well. birds everywhere, and the orchard / food forest is humming with native bees. the only way to go. i pile chips against my cabin too and it makes a huge difference. my greenhouses are mostly underground with air circulating under floor when sunny and hot which tempers temperatures greatly. absolutely right even if the vid cuts off 🙂
can you make a definitive video on how exactly you made your greenhouses? a diagram of the layers would be really great. please and thank you. does all the water mass mainly buffer the temperature difference between night and day? so you mulch wood chips, bags of leaves, hay, and straw? what goes in what layers?
Two days ago I was walking in the supermarket and I had to think about you Chad. For the first time in my life I saw donut peaches in real life. But of course they had to do a marketing trick, because instead of calling them donut peaches they were labeled as "wild peaches". There is nothing wild about those peaches because they were commercially grown in Spain just like any other peach. But thanks to you I recognized the peaches and I immediately knew that it was all marketing. So when I got home I did a little research about the so called "wild peaches" from that store, and sure enough, it were just cultivated donut peaches from Spain. The bastards!!! 🤣😂👍
Was thinking about you too while we harvested these peaches hahahah. Next week we will do videos on the greenhouse donut peaches with a taste test. That’s interesting wild peaches. Hahahahah. Thanks for watching as always. Hope you’re doing well!
Yeah here in Spain I grow those peaches they’re my favorite. Super duper sweet. We call them Paraguayan peaches here even though they aren’t from Paraguay.
I keep forgetting we have mandarins &clementines. The others I haven’t tried. What do Jaboticaba taste like ? So much more experimenting to do. Have a new greenhouse idea that will beat all the others.
@@chadsproduceJaboticaba is also known as Brazilian tree grape, it is an extremely unique fruiting tree, It flowers and fruits directly on the bark. It is a grape-like fruit, there is a guy by the name of flying fox fruits on RUclips who also reads and sells them, I bought three from him that I have growing indoors in pots. It's one of Pete of Green Dreams favorite fruits. They are normally an understory tree and take a while to get large, they do not take freezes, and can sometimes struggle in central Florida, but not normally in Southern Florida. This tree would truly be a unique addition that shows the versatility of your greenhouse.

Awesome comment. Awesome experiments in Idaho. Thanks.
@AlsanPine what do you use to heat your underground greenhouses and what temps are you seeing inside?

Maybe a patreon video here, or subscription on Facebook 😊Thanks for watching. I got a new idea that beats this all which is simplistic and free.

@@austintrees where do I find these rare trees? I agree we should have some rare fruits. Thanks for the comments. Any other requests we should try?
I want to grow cannabis in Maine year round , do you think your system would work in Maine?
Fantastic. How hardy is cannabis lowest temperature it grows at?
@@chadsproduce 60s is pushing it but I could add supplemental lifting for extra heat if needed.
