@ this may sound weird but I have never watched the Nebraska video. I always wanted what I do in any sense original and inspiring. I never did this to make videos or money. I did it because I wanted greenery all winter to beat the blues. Thanks for your comment.

Citrus cannot grow here in zone 6 whatsoever. We are manipulating the trees to do this.

@chadsproduce bud your useing a greenhouse and im guessing that you winterized the roots then 1 or 2 extra things.

@ remember a standard greenhouse is 100 degrees during the day and 20 at night without a heater. We are using no heaters. No electricity

@@chadsproduce Oh no, it's not like greenhouses are built to keep You know cold winds and stuff out and keep the warm air in and you know just being closed off from the chilling air makes it warmer and all that fun stuff.

@ grapefruit do not like this sort of climate whatsoever. We are manipulating them to grow in zone 6.

@@emilymimikos4756 we get the black sooty stuff on our citrus leaves. Something to do with aphids but doesn’t seem to hinder anything. Outside the greenhouses, We had a grasshopper invasion last summer and get the usual earwig invasion. Otherwise we are doing fairly well. The greenhouses had a slight grasshopper issue last year but other than that all is well. Wind is our biggest issue. 65 mph canyon winds.

@@kylespeaks7401 I got a video coming out really soon showing a thermal radar device that will go through these greenhouses and show exactly where the heat is coming from on a day that has sub zero windchills. Leaving the mulch in bags has a really interesting result we will show.

@ some of these theme park rides are really innovative and most of my ideas came from walking around Disneyland and looking at their many Hobbit Holes. Like Splash Tiana’s Mountain.

@@savvy2639 was above freezing. Nothing was frozen to the touch. So at least a 22 degree advantage over the outdoor temp.

@chadsproduce was just curious if I would have to add candles under a clay pot during those 0 degree days is all. seems mighty close. I'd just hate to lose a tree a spent so much time nurturing along. still may give this a try. did you have trees in grow sacks work this way too ? thanks

@ what growing zone are you in? Have 20 of these devices. 10 of them handle this easy. The other 10 is touch and go. I agree is disheartening if a tree freezes.

All my citrus trees in my various videos that you can check out are in ground. Some have been in the ground for over a decade in zone 6 Utah.

I am not. There is a little ditch in the middle of the greenhouse and that is where the water comes in to supply the plants. The plastic won’t get into that water and can be easily removed when deteriorating.

@@lyleplanckjr2101 we just had some people from Indiana fly out to do a farm tour here. They loved it. The trees aren’t very happy until they are in the ground. Lemon trees are the most tender of the citrus so make sure you have plenty of protection.

Dave is the master. This video we are lucky to have and lucky that he was willing to do this.

We have an old trampoline that is underground. May get rid of it and build a greenhouse in the hole. Problem with a Walipini is our high water table.

During the day near 80. At night our goal is to stay above freezing to keep these trees happy. We where 10 this morning and our citrus trees where very happy. Check out my video short showing this.

@@terriblycleverchannelname5620 our largest is 80 x 13 Aprox. So quite large. Next largest 60 x 20. Another large ones. Next one 50 x 20

@@RustyBobbins hahahaha look at me giving all my secrets away. However there are a few I will never reveal. Like my peach variety that bears before apricots at the same time as cherries. 🍒

This device is bigger than it looks on your screen. Holds two standard concrete reinforcement wire large tomato cages inside, which could fit up to that size of citrus tree. The yield would be similar to a large caged tomato plant yearly. Is meant for dwarf trees and a good pruning yearly. This devices has exceeding all expectations so far.
