This is a killer video! Phil has inspired me to hit up some lakes this summer!

Great video! I used to fish those lakes and had a few favorites. Dragonfly nymphs are especially good about two weeks after ice out if you fish them deep and slow. They spend the Winters there and migrate to the shallows. We have some good lake fishing here in Kodiak

the places where i fish (scottish highland lochs) have big wild trout that respond to big dragon nymphs like these. Very often these would be the only patterns that would interest the old trout.
    great video!

I really love the foam dragon fly. SO many fly anglers do not use or even tie these patterns. A close friend and fly fishing friend of mine uses them on a dead drift in seams. They really produce, every time. Thank you!

A nice film and beautiful rainbows.
When a big fish is running fast and takes you into the backing, it is best to lower the rod and let him run with very little pressure and a light brake setting. It's far better than trying to fight the fish with the rod up - at least during the first few long runs.

Great video but I was really hoping for more information on type 3-5 sinking lines as I find they are more difficult to use than a intermediate midge tip

Dragon Fly nymphs are very overlooked be stillwater fly fishers. When used properly, they can be deadly.
