Some of those "disgusting" junk food items either were not nasty or at least don't really sound nasty. Hotdogs chips? I'd rather have those than octopus crackers!
Octo crackers are really good especially if you grow up in South Korea/Japan octopus is a commonly eaten food. They’re not really a junk food fail since it’s a Korean snack aimed at that market.
I actually liked Doritos 3Ds, along with Fruit String Things & Surge Soda. There were some Junk Foods that were a lot better than Green & Purple Ketchup & Kids Cuisine.
This! There’s a few on this list that I disagree with but none more than the Bubble Jug! I’ve been campaigning for a Bubble Jug comeback for like my entire adult life! 😭😂😂
I remember candy cigarettes as tasting minty. And they were just thin, white sticks that had a passing resemblance to cigarettes. I sure as hell don't know anyone who decided they wanted to smoke because of them.
It became illegal in most countries for them to look like cigarettes or even have the cigarette packaging. But back in the day they did have fake cigarette packaging and had markings like real cigarettes. Some even had a thing where you could blow on them and they shoot out powdered sugar to represent the smoke of a real cigarette
They were minty, crumbly, and some of the least expensive candy at the store. They were only about a nickel, or so.( lol. I know. Time for your nap, Grandma😝)
For me, one of the worst ones had to be when Lucky charms tried to add a chocolate flavor. I remember my grandmother bought me some after the chocolate donut Cap’n Crunch was sadly canceled. I had a few bites of it and it was disgusting.
I loved the taste of Gatorgum. The biggest problem with that gum, however, was how short the flavor lasted. Seemed like that it was a tasteless hunk of rubber after 2 minutes. That is also why I only got that gum very rarely no matter how much I loved the taste
The Pringles Cheeseburger ones were excellent. It actually tasted like a deluxe burger. It had notes of ketchup, mayo, cheese, onions, pickle, mustard. And they created it in a lab😆
Swedish fish Oreos were one of those products a colleague brought in one day to the office to have everyone try it. The filling was a dead-on taste for Swedish fish, which is good if you like that weird chemical aftertaste.
The A&W Poptarts were actually pretty damn good, tasted like a Root Beer dumdum. The Orange Crush flavor on the other hand was absolutely horrendous though.
@@DRCEQ I pride myself on having at least tried every single Poptart flavor released to date, and Crush was among the ONLY 3 types off the top of my head that I ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to eat. Those 3 were said Orange Crush, Watermelon, and Pink Lemonade. Everything else I will eat, even if they aren't necessarily my favorites.
@@shawnattwells5355 the A&W Root Beer flavor was actually pretty damn good. It tasted like a Root Beer Dumdum sucker, or other Root Beer flavored candy, worked rather well. Of course I eat my Poptarts cold, have more flavor that way, so if the reviewers were warming them up first, that may make a difference that doesn't taste good, I wouldn't know.
I didn't like the Eggo one they put out this year. It was supposed to taste like Maple Syrup, but it tasted like a Maple Syrup scented teaspoon of sugar
We used to have wax lips that you could wear. They were filled with red liquid, so that when you got tired of wearing them, you bit them open, sucked down the red liquid and chewed the wax (we didn't eat it).
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I didn't know Tako chip's design was based on octopus.. 🤣 I thought they were whales until today. 🤣 Anyway, Tako chips is an awesome snack to eat with beverages. I just love eating them. I heard Tako chip's original name was based on a famous market that was named after a fish in South Korea.
To this day they're still throwing trash into the junk food landfill! 😂 You know fast food is at an all-time low when they top it with cereal, or snack chips.
Is no one going to talk about Van Leeuwen’s horrifying creation of Hidden Valley Ranch ice cream? Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be locked away
Candy cigarettes actually had a strong mint flavor, so basically they're lying here. I've had it many times as a child. Tako chips are made after the name Takoyaki chich Asians love. I hate it, but my wife who is from HK loves it. Gatorade gum was delicious. I had a strong lemon flavor but didn't last long much the same way with Juicyfruits.
I love kid cuisine when I was younger! When my mom had to go do a school events at my elementary school that was the dinner I would look forward to for those nights
its funny theres like 3 or 4 things on this list that watchmojo described as having an offputing nature (the powder-y part of the bubble jug or the chalkiness of candy cigs) that i absolutely love
McDonald's tried their own Shake Em Up Fries a while back, with Big Mac flavoured salt. It was... alright, I guess, but nothing amazing. And I've tried that Heinz different coloured sauce. My parents got it for us once when I was a kid. The first couple of times it was fine, but after we got halfway through the bottle, the taste became foul. I dunno what happened, but it suddenly became really gross and our parents wouldn't let us go back to regular tomato sauce until we finished it... which took months because of how much we tried to avoid having it
I remember back in the late 60s, early 70s, Hostess Chips came out with an orange-flavored chip and a grape-flavoured chip. Neither one lasted too long. There was also a 3rd flavour, roasted chicken, which tasted good and lasted longer before it eventually faded away.
Ok... I loved the ninja turtle pies... And I'd eat a key lime or green colored filling twinkies before a "peppermint" or "Pumpkin spice"...😂😂😂😂...I think I know what kinda folks made this list... 😂😂😂
I really liked Hubba Bubba soda. I wouldn't mind that being brought back and I think I would try the TMNT pie if it was available. Or it could just be bc Im very hungry right now.
They Have.. They Show the Same Shit Several Times Over and Over. All they do is Rearrange the order they show/talk about the product and were it ends up on the list... Why I call them "WatchReruns"..
Candy cigarettes actually started in the 30s when smoking was a sign of sophistication. I'm a mid-century child (69 now) who grew up with candy cigarettes, but when bubble gum cigarettes were introduced I switched. Much better flavor and very colorful, too.
I remember bubblegum cigarettes in the '70s. The illusion they provided was actually quite impressive -- they were wrapped in paper (complete with logo) and dusted with confectioner's sugar on the inside. This way, when you tapped them (as if you were ashing an actual cigarette), the powdered sugar residue floated up through the air.
I remember those cigarettes in the 80's as well. I used to love blowing on it and it looked like smoke. It never gave me the urge to smoke since I never picked up the habit.
Those wax juice bottles were around back in the 60s. The proper way is NOT to suck the liquid out, which is why it's too sweet, but to chew the wax with the liquid. Chewing the wax was sort of like chewing gum, but when you got tired of it, you just threw it away.
You forgot one and it's a more recent product. Reese's Big Cup Potato Chips. The 2020's have been wild for the iconic brand. But sometime in 2020, Reese's decided to release variants of its popular Big Cup. Starting with Pretzel Big Cup. It's pretty good since well, chocolate, peanut butter and pretzels all in one? Yes please! But the same year, we got Potato Chips Big Cup. It was filled with potato chips. They were greasy, salty and they didn't mix well with the chocolatey and peanut buttery treat. And recently, more variants have released. Including Reese's Puffs filled and Reese's Pieces filled. Just... wow.
Actually, Gator Gum had kind of a Sour lemon/lime taste. Not as intense as Warheads, and not as Sweet as Sour Patch Kids. The soft drink Pop-Tarts tasted as advertised. If you search out the "Limited Edition" flavors, these were one of the better ones.
3d Doritos were one of the biggest disappointments of my snacking choices, let me put it this way, I used to smoke a lot back in the day and was always having the munchies lol unfortunately, these did nothing to satisfy even a grade a stoner. And I wish they would bring gatorgum back, remember enjoying it a lot. Maybe if they did different flavors it might be a hit

Have you heard today from You-tuber Vailskibum about Icee cereal by Kellogg’s
Huh?
🤢
I feel disgusted on most of these items. I would try Shear's homerun hotdog chips.
Tako is the Japanese word for octopus. You shouldn’t be too surprised when you get exactly what you ordered. 😂
I eat calamari and even I'm like 🤢🤮 about 🐙 flavored 🥔 chips
Oh!
Mostly especially of you don't speak Japanese.
Some of those "disgusting" junk food items either were not nasty or at least don't really sound nasty. Hotdogs chips? I'd rather have those than octopus crackers!
Hey hot dog chips were good enough that Pringles did it too
Octo crackers are A1
octo crackers sound really good
Octo crackers are really good especially if you grow up in South Korea/Japan octopus is a commonly eaten food.
They’re not really a junk food fail since it’s a Korean snack aimed at that market.
Man, I still love candy ciga- I mean candy sticks. Even though they're pretty much just drywall dust and sugar.
My grandmother gave me some of these when I was about 5, and I refused to take them. She was a chainsmoker as long as I knew her
I remember versions that actually let you blow fake smoke off of them. I think they were bubble gum if I remember correctly
I will not stand for this Kid Cuisine slander. That was a staple of my childhood.
11:41 “What the Jesus in Christ is that?!” Had me dying.
I loved candy cigarettes as a kid, but I have never had a single drug or cigarette in my life, so I am living proof that those promote smoking
I actually liked Doritos 3Ds, along with Fruit String Things & Surge Soda.
There were some Junk Foods that were a lot better than Green & Purple Ketchup & Kids Cuisine.
Red Mustard. That would be stupid
alot of people liked 3D doritos, idk what this list is even talking about
This chilli nacho ones sound good 🤤🤤
I actually really liked the bubble gum jug. It was chalky, but in just the right way.
Now the Bubble Jug is just part of childhood nostalgia 😢
@@charliejoson9145they’re back ! I saw them at 5 below and 99

What i got from this video is that WatchMojo hates it when people have fun
You’re crazy! I used to freebase TMMT pies as a kid. They were awesome. I was sad to see them go.
Candy cigarettes weren’t really ever nasty and it sure wasn’t a fail everyone down here had candy squares
@@drcokepepper Those were the candy cigarettes gum, instead of the candy sticks shown in this video, I loved those as a kid in the 80s lol
I was one who partook in purchasing candy cigarettes back in the day.
There was a time where they had cigarettes candy that actullsy blew smoke
I thought my generation was safe from the Junk Food Fails. And then I saw Kids Cuisine. And those Shake 'Em Up Fries.
I remember candy cigarettes as tasting minty. And they were just thin, white sticks that had a passing resemblance to cigarettes. I sure as hell don't know anyone who decided they wanted to smoke because of them.
Exactly. I tried a real cigarette once, hated it, & went back to the candy.
We didn't need to smoke; we had candy cigarettes instead.
They looked more like cigarettes back in the early 80s to when they first came out, about the mid 80s they changed the way they looked
It became illegal in most countries for them to look like cigarettes or even have the cigarette packaging. Cigarettes candy is delicious. I will be one of the few who actually loved those
I loved the taste of Gatorgum. The biggest problem with that gum, however, was how short the flavor lasted. Seemed like that it was a tasteless hunk of rubber after 2 minutes. That is also why I only got that gum very rarely no matter how much I loved the taste
I loved candy cigarettes. They were either chalk sticks for chocolate sticks wrapped in paper. I preferred the chocolate ones.
Or the one's that puffed out powder lol and I NEVER bc a smoker ... Well not tobacco!!
Oh come on!!! Candy cigarettes are awesome!!! There is a certain brand that is delicious!
The Pringles Cheeseburger ones were excellent. It actually tasted like a deluxe burger. It had notes of ketchup, mayo, cheese, onions, pickle, mustard. And they created it in a lab😆
Pringles are dry and gross.
Yeah I liked the A&W, but Crush was bad.

"a little misleading...because technically regular Doritos are 3 dimensional..." Thats an amazing statement.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember the shake em up fries! Hahah also I remember candy cigarettes too
A couple of years ago, McDonald's also came out with shake fries, but they were garlic flavoured. They were good! 🍟
I really liked the Fruit Gushers and original Twinkies. Also, I loved strawberries and cream Dr Pepper

Her choice of words killed me 🤣🤣 but it's all so spot on
Omg I remembered candy cigarettes and cigar gums.
@4:00 That shake em up fries at BK commercial was hilarious 😂😂😂😂
I had those candy cigarettes as a kid. They weren't the reason I picked up the habit of smoking real ones. That, is called life/stress.
I ate Candy Cigarettes all the time as a kid and I have yet to light up an actual cigarette, because I'm not stupid.
The new 3D Doritios don't taste like the old ones. The new ones are more solid where the old ones were airier.
To this day they're still throwing trash into the junk food landfill! 😂 You know fast food is at an all-time low when they top it with cereal, or snack chips.
I absolutely LOVED the cappuccino Lay's chips and would've taken the remaining supply for myself after that summer if I could.
Ew
I liked the Chocolate dipped Ruffles, as well.
I grew up on Kid Cuisine.
I loved those TMNT pies when I was a kid. I have all 4 of the cards. I used to eat those while drinking Super Mario pop cans. The 90s were great.
