Hell yeah! Your grandmother would be proud to see the H running with some cars. Those two CN units are Athearn Blue Box DASH 9-44CW locomotives. Built during the 1990's makes it a modern unit. That CP Rail is the DASH 9-AC44CW also built in the 1990's. However it has AC traction motors instead of DC (note the larger boxes for the AC converters on the conductors side). Curve radius minimum is 22-inches.
Nice vid! I need to pick up some more blue box locomotives. And just an FYI, those two CN units are Dash 9s, while the CP unit is an AC4400CW. Their main spotting differences is a larger electrical cabinet (box behind the cab on the conductor’s side) on the AC4400.
Really nice haul, that passenger car would look great on the Hiawatha. The CN and the Canadian Pacific trains also look really good. I'd recommend that you turn the cheap one into a dummy engine or a shell. But if you can get it working, (I assume you can), maybe make a video on restoring it.
Very awesome Harrison with all the cool fines that you found at least you got a passenger car for your Hiawatha i’m curious how you did a screenshot for Google hangouts and have a awesome day Harrison
Yes how do you do the group chat and the live stream at the same time on RUclips because I was thinking of doing the same thing on my RUclips Channel you can join if you want
Nice stuff! I liked the CN matches too! Not that long ago I was railfanning in home town and as I was recording a CSX local oil train was going by and a man walked up to me and gave me a pack of matches he said was given to him by his father or grandfather, I can't really remember which, but the box of matches was from the Pere Marquette RR, and I believe the box of matches were from the 30's or 40's or maybe even the 50's and the man said that he had no other family members or friends to give the matches to because he thought people didn't like trains anymore until he seen me recording the train and found out my big love for trains. I'll never forget that day.
SMT - I agree with you on the vintage of the Tyco set; probably from the 1960s, the " Red Box " era. Tyco offered several sets without a power pack into the mid 1970s. The brass passenger car is probably an exact model of a Milwaukee Road car; not a standard design. I think the Milwaukee road built many of their own streamlined passenger cars. The locomotives & industrial plant parts are great items & so are the promotional match boxes!
I was recently at a yard sale and there were 2 ho scale sets sitting there for ten bucks each. The lady noticed us looking at them and said "I have some more in the house and if you are interested you can have it all for 50 dollars". We opened one box, took one look inside, and said "we'll take it all". When we checked it out later there was a brand new, never run tyco promotional set (in the original box), a barely-if-ever used marx ho set (also in original box), a lionel ho sclae set, a group of older circus train cars, a couple pennsylvania engines (all the engines run), and a hardly used american flyer o scale set. Best 50 bucks we've ever spent.
That’s an awesome haul bud especially the tyco train set btw the athearn blue box Canadian national and Canadian pacific locos is the ge dash 9 for the Canadian national one and I think the Canadian pacific locomotive is a ac4400cw
hey you finally bought modern power so those two CN units you bought are CN North American C44-9W w stands for widened cab and woohoo I'm finally getting a Rapido unit
Wow you are getting amazing at talking in front of the camera. Especially when you did that skit with the CN match box. No stuttering at all while you had fire straight in your face. Also awesome CN C44-9W. You were correct. 👍 let me correct myself* multiple CN locomotives! As well as that CP AC4400CW. Amazing!
Trust me once you get a passenger car you'll want the entire set for the hiawatha and anything else as a matter of fact, BTW its called Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends Or Just Thomas and Friends, I dont like it when people get it wrong, it hurts to a RWS-Model Series collector. PS im still on the hunt for el cheapo athearn bluebox engines as much as you are
Dude don't sweat the not being a walking diesel spotters guide, that comes with time and experience. Half the locos I see you working with were off class 1 rosters, retired, scrapped or museum pieces well before you were born( hell some of those were that when I was your age) so it's cool
Yes, that was certaintly a problem. It began with a publicity for the Southern Pacific California Starlights and Daylights (which are still running). We needed some promotional stuff, and matchboxes were an obvious choice. The problem was in the fufullment. The logo came out CN instead of CT (Calif. trains). So Canada got a freebee which remains: CN.
Everytime i try to get a CP or CN i get out bid. Haven't been able to get the ones i want. Did get 1 CN. Yugo made. Don't know brand was a little dirty but all an all a nice loco. Has a disconnected wire that needs to be repaired yet. Lol been busy flipping non hobby stuff on market place. Gotta make more money to buy more hobby stuff or part for sled or quads repairs. Yet still looking for a excellent looking CP. Just received a southern in blk scheme. Beautiful piece. No damage or flaws. Still needs to be tested though.
That’s it. It’s official. You’re a collector. Great haul.
*flame creeps closer to finger*
*Speech increases in speed*

22 is more of a recommendation, my AC4400 never had any issues.
Model train shows are one of the last great things in humanity.
Brady Rinard 😊👍

Great video! Thanks for the shout out. I will let you know if I find more stuff you can use

That's a good looking "coffee table book" and an impressive haul of merchandise. I'll look forward to seeing the Tyko train set video👌.
Cool haul-Thats a good deal for the brass!
Awesome train haul SMT. Very nice stuff u have. Especially that tyco train set. So cool.

Also just so you know you got a good deal on the brass car i have seen similar cars sell for 100 dollars or more even more if there painted like yours

Awesome, that sounds like the deal of a life-time

Could you do more videos on how to fix locomotives because that is the one thing I need to learn
Dude don't sweat the not being a walking diesel spotters guide, that comes with time and experience.
Half the locos I see you working with were off class 1 rosters, retired, scrapped or museum pieces well before you were born( hell some of those were that when I was your age) so it's cool
Those CN Dash 9s have my favorite CN paint.
That Hiawatha car an the TYCO set are awesome

I love your channel. Videos are too short, but thanks for sharing.
I love the Athearn blue boxes to
I have a CN locomotive like those two
I’m going to try to make it to more train shows
I’ve been going to one in Texas that is pretty good but I have to wait till October to go
SMT i've found southern pacific matches
Edit: AMAZING TYCO Train set!!!! I really want a complete Chattanooga set myself

Nice haul. Cool finds on the CN dash 9’s however I don’t think CN ever had any rostered in the North America scheme with standard GE cab
Why don't you run your vintage train in your next live stream?
nice you finally got some brass
For me it was growing up with the Illinois Central railroad
The Canadian Pacific locomotive is a General Electric AC4400CW and the two Canadian National locomotives are General Electric C-44-9CW's
Love those CN DASH-9’s. Good haul, and did I hear right, one for a song? What was the song!
I don't know but it must have been a good one.
Hay it’s Xander nice to see you buddy
With the matches you should make a part in the town that says “WORLDS LARGEST MATCHES AND MATCH BOX!”
I have that book to !!!!!!!!!!!
Can you do a walk-through with that book
My grandfather has some ho scale trains and some g scale trains
There isnt any train shows or swap meets were i live so i like ur finds videos r super
I'm not goood at identifying trains too but at 5:53 I believe that it is an ac 44
Nice
I got one Friday for a whisper 10 bucks US for a Blue box p42 Amtrak with dcc
"Hopefully we can do it again next year" posted June 2019... ouch.
I've been seeing way more cp trains in minnesota
Smt I would normally say don't play with machines but because your living in Canada you probably need the warmth
I’m sorry to burst your bubble Harrison but Canadian pacific bought Kansas City southern for track down to Mexico.
TECHNICALLY, there was a merger, which was a little different...
Maybe you should get the Thomas the train book
I think the blue box loco you got for $15 miiiight be an SD75i
Then again, it might be a locomotive. I really need to study locomotives.
I think I may have spotted a potential giveaway item.
Interesting.
I saw dash 9s and clicked
2nd
Do a link I want to see the vid
Me when CP dual flag
smt can you fix your new haven F9s.
I'm Gordon fastest and best I pull the express
