- In this episode, Michelle and Alex play one of their favorite games, GeoGuessr, to see which one of them really knows the most about the Netherlands. And the stakes of this game are high: at the end of each round, the loser has to pick between two unsavory (and/or embarrassing!) dares.

WHO IS BUNCHARTED?
We're Michelle and Alex, an American expat couple living abroad in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

I tried to play GeoGuessr Netherlands without moving and I quickly learned that half of NL is flat green identical-looking countryside and the other half is rijtjeshuizen in identical-looking neighbourhoods 😂
the “no move” thing would be so tough with some of these drops in the netherlands for that reason!
Yeah, I could have sworn they were in my street at some point until I saw the trash bins and it was somewhere else completely 😂 cookiecutter neighborhoods.

2:56 is my hometown! It is on the intersection the “Napoleonsweg” (Napoleon’s road) because it was constructed under the rule of Napoleon for his troops to move easily from one place to the other. It is also called the death road since many accidents happen here due to reckless behavior and the many trees very close to the road.

the stick with a bird on it, is actually a stick with a ship on it.
it marks the spot where a ship wreck was found, which was the first clue that this location is at the very least in a Polder.

Goodmorning.Sweet memory's to me from the 70' at 9:58 that bridge we call it the blue bridge its at the end of a old farmers road (5km)from Vlaardingen were i lived and we look at Maassluis. (Were you see the houses now there was a swimmingpool at that time called ...the dolfijn...) on the bike as youngster and later on are mopeds going for a swim in the summertime evening focking good times. When I saw Michelle's first round in game 1 I was like: hey, I know this... the van Gogh Allee in Rhoon! (it helps that I occasionally deliver mail there though... ) A;sp immediately recognized the Berglustlaan in Rotterdam - Hillegersberg (from Alex' 2nd round) Fun fact: Rotterdam is the only city in the Netherlands that I know of where small electricity stations are painted up like that ( and I have quite the collection of photographs of them).

Its verry pretty up there and terrible expensive. Hillersberg is one of the most expensive places in rotterdam
I really liked this husband&wife video, but I guess that had something to do with the game that was like MADE for RUclips. I'm not sure a similar video would work, where you both guessing what breed of sheep can be seen on a pictutre, or 'in what city is this Albert Heijn ?

Holland is really only used as a synonym for the Netherlands in case of marketing and events or history etc. Geographically it's really always the two provinces. Hence the guess of Midden Holland being in Utrecht being off.

Might be nice to change distances from miles/feet to kilometers/meters in Geogussr settings :) , unless you (or the audience) prefers the formal of course

Grocery store herring.. oke.... If you like that. Can be oke, or good, or bad. Hope you've had some good ones. Not bad at all!
Depends on your budget.
If you only have the opportunity to NOT go to the fish store, like the majority of the people do.....what are the options then: frozen, yukkk!, or grocery store... which is kinda oke or not, depending on the freshness.
But a really good fish store has the best ones!!!
It's a BIT like the taste of a FRESH maatjes haring (with the raw onions and pickled stuff).
Onions and pickles: that is to tone the strong taste a bit down. AND have an umami bit of experience. Strong and soft flavour at the same time.
It's an aquiered taste and texture, no shit if you're not used to it!!
The fish is cured btw!! Not raw at all, like sashimi Japanese style.
It's salted, which is more like a ceviche style of fish. But with a whole different flavour. Of course, ceviche has a lot of lemon and lime to cure the fish, we don't.... We have salt.
The best way is, where they prepare it fresh in front of you.
Which they do in a fish store, or a fish stand on a market.
Just enjoy!

@@buncharted you did well, I only knew a few harder once because I have been there or a company I worked for did business with that municipality. Dirty Dutch, in what sense? Most swear words involve diseases. Other kind of dirty? Perhaps watch a few classic Dutch Movies:
Flodder (1,2, and 3). Kind actors, most of them. My wife worked with them. "How do you want to pay?... Polaroid"
