There’s this narrative the XL bully’s only behave badly when there are irresponsible owners but it’s just not true - there are many instances of them turning on responsible and seasoned owners -
Adam watts from Dundee was killed by an XL bully in December 2021 he owned a dog kennel and rescue centre he had dedicated his entire life to looking after animals responsibly - .
Ian symes killed by an XL Bullyin Hampshire in august 2022 was a full time dog trainer
Natasha Johnston killed by an XL bully January 2023 was a full time dog walker - spending all her days handling many dogs at a time - she wasn’t a thug , or irresponsible- she was a dog lover and normal girl - DEAD
These dogs turn on people and they are deadly even in the most caring and responsible hands -
The truth speaks for Itself - and it’s time to be honest about the whole story - it’s so easy to say “it only happens when owners are irresponsible- “ but that idea is a myth and it’s dangerous because people think they are exempt from the danger ! these dogs are capable of being extremely vicious because it is inherent in their biology - they have been bred for it.

The fact is that they were bred for this purpose, only in the UK, that’s the simple answer to this whole thing, because they’ve never been attacking anywhere else other than the UK, so maybe the band should be happening in the UK, because they simply don’t breed the dogs in the way they don’t own this dog in the right way, and they give this dog, the bad reputation that they didn’t deserve this breed. @lifeasafish Год назад +28

That’s only partly true! The breed is a problem due to the sheer size of them and the capabilities they possess. I much rather fancy my chances of surviving an attack from a Labrador than one of these. When it is a hopeless situation for who or whatever they are attacking, then it is clearly too dangerous to be out in public - and that goes for any breed that cannot be controlled or stopped by a grown man.
On top of the 11 deaths mentioned on the segment there have been many horrific attacks on other dogs. There have been cases where owners have been helpless to save their dogs from these vicious attacks and it has taken the efforts of many people to attempt to save the victims - often unsuccessfully. Why risk more injuries or lives? Are our children's lives and the lives of our pets not more important than owning this newly introduced breed!?
I’m not saying they should all be destroyed but they should be a banned breed - and those who are already in the country should be leashed and muzzled in public as well as their owners being vetted and monitored to ensure they are being responsible.

Yeah breeders might find another breed but that doesn't mean this breed shouldn't be banned - it will take them time to do that and hopefully it won't end up being as aggressive as this one. It's not normal for dogs to run at other dogs or people to attack them - you don't need to train a well-bred dog not to attack people or other dogs, they simply lack the instinct to behave in this way.
