I'll never understand why some people don't enjoy these interviews. Hearing the inspiration for stories, seeing creators passion about their work, and it always seems like Sal and the guest are enjoying the conversation. It's great. And now I want to play paintball/airsoft with a Captain America shield. That sounds fantastic. Lol
@@C4rea Yeah, people like comics. They like to get a taste of what might be coming up. They like the creators, if they are watching a channel I assume they like the hosts. Seems like they would be a hit. I think they are fascinating. It's also fun to hear writers just being comics fans themselves.
Chip is one of my favorite active creators right now. He is always insightful and funny. I am grateful to Sal and Chip for sitting down and chatting. It was really fun to listen to!
The interviews with Chip are honestly my favorite at this point. Sal killing it again with these! Every single one is such cool insight. Great job man!
@@coolcomics hes taking over the main title starting with number 125 next month and he's 4 or 5 issues into a miniseries about Bruce's time training under Ducard, Kirigi, and the rest.
I love the almost simultaneous sigh of exhilaration at 50:26 not only between Sal and Chip, but from everybody watching this scene after hearing Chip describe the feeling of paintballs bouncing off of the Captain America shield.
Started reading his Daredevil after it was covered on Back Issues and I absolutely love it. Can't wait to see what he's got in-store for the continuation of his run.
As someone who hasn’t had the chance to dive into much of Chip’s work this interview was still a blast to watch. Definitely excited for his Batman run coming up
I found a copy of “Chip Zdarsky’s Prison Funnies” (the actual title) in a fifty cent box last year, which I believe was his first comic (when he was still drawing). And I bought “Monsters Cops” 1 new because it looked fun, when he was still unknown.
Huh, I was under the impression Chip was a Toronto guy. Find out he's been lurking round my backyard. Speculation time. Cortes? Lasqueti? Hornby? Strikes me as one of the characters one might encounter on one of those islands.
Comic book readers are some of the most cynical, know-it-all, judgemental jerks, and I appreciate every comic artist and writer that puts up with it 😂 love your work Chip, can't wait for Batman 🔥🔥🔥 PS, Sal I totally support your ad revenue, but come on man, these ads we're a little excessive 🤣
Know these aren't as popular as they should be hope this helps!

Creator interviews don’t get as many views on *any* comic book-based channel, not just this one. IDK why either because I enjoy the insights.

I always try to watch. These are fun and listening to their inspiration feels so good but sometimes I am not able to.
Yeah, he’s a good interviewer .

I'm loving what Chip is doing with The Knight and I can't wait to see how he incorporates that history into his Batman starting next month
Is chip taking over the main batman title or is he doing like a mini series

Always great to have chip on. Excited to see what goes on in his Batman run, especially since his previous and current Bat work is phenomenal!
I love these two together its less an interview and more just two bro's bro-ing for an hour every time

39:40 the bit that happens at the beginning of this had me laughing my butt off the first time I watched it. I love this interview.

Is manga expert Chip Zdarsky, this is going to be good.
First off, love any interview with Chip. Secondly, Sal, you are fucking killing the shirt game lately!
chip is the man and a righteous dude!
Yay Chip!
If you ever get Hickman on here I will pay you in lap dances.🤣
The perfect landscape reminds me of the Camel from Parks and Rec
I’m never around when you talk to my favorites live - damn!
This video proves that Screen Rant has a problem. :)

I had no idea about the Three Jokers returning honestly, but hey, there’s more surprises so it is all good.
ooh awesome :)
Whenever a Marvel/Star Wars cross-over comes up, a little part of me dies inside.
Cool video.
Good set-up for a spit take at 45:00
Instead of break a leg I like "rip a panel"

Man... chip just ruined my dreams of pitching Indiana Jones and the First Avenger....
Absolutly loved the first 2 pages of Chips Batman run that were released but the 3 jokers thing does worry me
Chip, your ego is awesome

Cartoonist kayfabe represent 🤘
He should stick to DD. get this man out of batman comics
He should not have been allowed to write batman the knight
