    The fan at the top should be blowing down so the airflow into the downdraft is channeled in one direction. With it blowing up the air is more chaotic and the dust could circulate inside the area for a while. You have air going in two directions which will decrease the effectiveness of both.

    Wow Jordy! That is amazing! I sure would love that! I just finished my first wood spirit yesterday and realize how much I need that set up! Hoping hubby will build me one😊 he built me a suction table but now I want it enclosed!

    Looks great Jordy, I'm jealous...wish I had a place indoors that I can carve it would be a whole lot easier than setting up and taking everything back down after carving before nightfall. Maybe run a small tube from the dust collector to the small fan on top to get all the dust?

    Love the table Jordy. Still gotta build mine, for now I just have the attachment layed by carving spot and everything is pulled out onto the ground, away from me. I carve outside on the porch. Love all your videos, its a big help

    Aaah yes! Seems like yesterday we said goodbye to the ol’girl😢 she brought us countless masterpieces and so much knowledge! Will always love her just like are first carving. But we knew Jordy Johnson, would birth the new and improved custom Mad Carver Cave 2.0( aka. MCC) We All sit here in anticipation waiting for all of the new Masterpiece’s!!     I had the Dust Deputy and was producing static electricity which resulted in burning out two of my shop vacs.

      I didn't fix it as I had to abandoned the Cyclone.

      @CarvingFusionByJordyJohnson lol, not really 😂 what I wanted to ask, I am no election, I have a few old computers with the fans, and I'm not sure if they would take 240 volts plugged into them. But it's still a fantastic idea 💡 I will work on it.

    I am using a 5 HP vacuum for my dust collection when carving however my vacuums are burning out after about a year or less. I clean the filter when dust accumulates to a degree. The motor does not burn out because it overheats and when they burn out the vacuum is not much more than lukewarm. I do not have the vacuum running for more than 90 minutes at one time.
    Any ideas on what is going on?

      No clue but I would suggest trying to get one of those vacuums that are in the gardge and piping go threwout the house, I forget the name of them.

      Actually I purchase the Rezaire Dust Collector today. They appear to be very effective in collecting the very fine dust@@CarvingFusion

    Wow you’ve really had a great job done there Jordy. I suppose you spent that much time carving last winter thinking how to improve things and make everything more accessible. You’ll have to put your prices up to pay for everything. So looking forward to seeing more fantastic creations this winter. I’m still slogging away with chainsaw but weather is making things tough. I’m re doing my workshop this winter and your tips will help enormously. 🪵
