Interesting video. It would be nice if your QC came pre-loaded with all of their plug ins. Can you even upload all your already purchased plug ins into the unit? I do not think so. I look forward to your first impressions video. Would also be curious to know why you chose this over either of the two Fractal options? Could have saved $ on an FM3. QC is a decent unit but I don't think the reverbs and delays are on par and it desperately needs a PC interface option.

Hey D G! So Neural has stated that they are working on getting their plugins onto the QC. When I started it up I was able to link my account so they are making some progress. I choose this one for3 reason
1, in my opinion, it sounds the best compared to other capture devices
2, I wanted something that would allow me to get a digital version of say an EVH Stealth III or a Mesaboogie
      3, it is also a built-in interface
Those are just my reasons, but I will keep everyone updated on how this thing is. Right now, it took me 30 mins to get it up and running with my PC and the interface takes a min to know where everything is.

@@mcchurch118 Hi MC118- I have read for a long time that they "are working" towards getting their plug-in's to a point where you can install "previously" purchased PI's to the QC. My contention is that for the price, it should come with at least their top 3 already onboard- as well as the ability to immediately get your purchased PI's into the unit. Fractal wins hands down in this regard. They have more patches than a person could use in a lifetime. Their development lifecycle is about 10 years ahead and it shows.
I agree, many of the more generic patches sound very good. I don't think the cleans and reverb and delays are on par with the FM3 of AxFXIII.
If you NEED to CAPTURE tones from another amp, that would make the case for the QC or a Kemper.
The QC onboard interface is excellent, however they really, really need a PC interface as well (not just a linked account w/limited capabilities e.g., create backups, get IR's, share content.) After a while, trying to edit tones on that screen, as good as it is, will get old fast IMO.
I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to hearing your update and thoughts. For me, the bottom line is that the QC is very good. It is built like a tank and definitely has some great tones and capture abilities. I feel it was released 1 year too early. It lacks a few key things like a proper PC Editor/Full Interface; needs to come with their best PI's (flagship product) and they need to improve their reverbs and delays which I am sure they will- again, in time (it's coming???") I just feel like they want you to pay today for the potential that it might realize in the future. I will also be very interested to see what the team at Fractal comes out with next in terms of hardware. I'm sure it will have capture this time, a touchscreen and even more CPU power. Now that would be very compelling.
      Have fun with it!

@@MOAB-UT for sure and thanks for the sub! If you want to chat more about it be sure to follow me on Twitch.tv/mcchurch118
Yes u agree that this has a long road ahead of itself and needs some improvements. The app is a bit of a pain and the naming convention is throwing me off. I'm no expert when it comes to amps, models, versions, or the such but I am learning my way around it. Might have to do a Barney style beginner's video for this thing lol

@@mcchurch118 I'm sure you will get the hang of it- eventually. My main point is that it is not as far along as it should be. Also, things like the naming convention should have been worked out before it's released. Even complicated tech can be easy to use. Line6 does well in that regard. Fractal also takes a learning curve but you can quickly dial in simple patches. It's up to you how far down the rabbit hole you want to wonder. Well- keep trying it and make up your mind before the return policy expires! You might also want to grab a FM3 so you can at least compare the two side by side.

@@MOAB-UT that would be nice, but unless someone sent me one, I don't think I can justify to my wife why I need that one as well lol
