Great show I'm a first time viewer and now sub
I appreciate it! Thanks!
I really enjoyed seeing the packing and planning process that takes place to get ready for a trip like this. I can't wait to see all the beauty, obstacles and fun they encounter on the trip. Great work Matthew. Can't wait for episode 2. If I could go back in time about 30 years or so this would be such fun to attempt.
Glad you enjoyed it! If it was possible, would have done a trip like this with you when you were able to.
I'm really enjoying this series I love the Expert / Rookie combo. Thank you for making these.
Thanks Lakes and Hikes!
After watching season 1, I thumbs up season 2 even before watching and it didn't disappoint. Great job to the whole crew.
Thanks Jay's Way!
Wow Mark... those are some wild shorts... Dennis, Canoehound Adventures

Dennis, you found Waldo!
So excited for the start of a new season! Philip and Radiant are in my top 5 of favourite lakes so can’t wait to see the footage.
Fabulous video Mark, Iain and Matthew. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in Algonquin Park. Mark, I would still love to get you out in a sea kayak, I will take you 7 kms straight out into Lake Ontario, that is peaceful.
And the best part, no portaging, lol.
Good jobs guys. I will be using this route this summer thanks to video! Cheers!
No you won't.....#Covid
So far so good, I liked the downsizing of Iain's gear.
Agreed. You should have felt the weight of it!
Fantastic video! I came here from Canoehound Adventures Podcast. I seen you on there a few times and just watched this awesome video. I will be watching the rest of the series.......Take care, Bluefin.
Thanks Bluefin! Hope you enjoy the series.
Awesome first episode... Thanks for sharing some of the history with the Logging Museum ...can't wait for the next one... Dennis, Canoehound Adventures

Tumblehome / Canoehound sent me - looking forward to catching up!!
Awesome! Thanks Brian for watching my videos!
Great intro! Reminded me of a movie I just have to see.
Thank you very much!!
I enjoyed the hell out of this
My buddy just gave me a old metal canoe Me and my dog are looking forward to a lot of new adventures
Nice! Those canoes are indestructible so I hope you put it through some awesome trips!
Cool video. Thanks. How did you do the animation on the map that shows where you will be staying and the trip layout?
Thanks for watching! I used to make the animations using Apple Motion, but have since integrated it into my editing software (I use Final Cut Pro).
I just discovered you, now I’m a new sub, onto episode 2 🤗
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching!
Keep going brother.....almost at 1000!!!
Thank you! Crazy how close I am. Never would have imagined!
That bag feels “comfortable” while your trying it in the garage for a few minutes but wait till you get a few decent portages in 😅
Lol true! After 30 minutes, it becomes a battle of pain
On today's episode of "Camping with Seth Rogen", Iain discovers the pre-poop Thunderbox kick to scare off the critters.
That was a fun watch. Will all episodes be posted here? Is there a place to watch older episodes?
Thanks!
Good to hear! All episodes will be posted here yes. For older episodes, check out the link in the description for a playlist of season 1 or search "Mark in the Park" and you should see all 10 episodes right away.
@@MattHaughn Great, thank you!
Good video, thanks
Thanks for watching Brian!
49:45 where's the "Yum yum!" ?
38:42 haha I actually slept in my car for a few hours exactly where you parked here when I arrived really early before the permit office opened.
No way! Good idea!
I've heard many say there are a lot of bugs on the Brent Crater trail - be fully armed!!
Oh yeah?! So we weren’t going crazy. They must like the swamp at the bottom
Comments:
My Grandfather would have had us running a trip like this in 5-6 days....Just sunup to sun down paddling no matter how strenuous the terrain in between.
Not fun and actually turned me off paddling for a couple years, which I now regret, as I probably missed out on some good memories, along with the bad ones.
Luckily, I got back into tripping in APP through newbie friends wanting to try it out (Ironically they now have had way more trips into the park than I have.)
And because they were new to it at the time, I could relax and just enjoy the process and the scenery.
The discussion my wife and I have almost every trip; "This isn't all going to fit." "Yes, it will"
I used to carry fresh clothes in a giant 'ziplok' bag and keep it in the car....At the end of the trip, try to shower or at least wash , throw on some deodorant and baby powder, fresh clothes and the old clothes go in the ziplok and everything in a garbage bag to keep the smell from permeating the car on the way home.
I too was like that, rush all day to get to camp and not stop to smell the roses. It’s worth it to slow down and look around! I like the idea of the Ziplock bag! Thanks for watching Mike.
Great job, so beautiful. 👍🏻
Thanks!
What week of the year would this have been? I normally only go in September, but one year I had to go the week before Labor Day. I got eaten alive on the Dickson Bonfield portage. To make matters a thousand times worse, I double carried, and I took the same route in AND out!
This was shot over the second and third week of September! I haven’t experienced the Dickson-Bonfield for myself yet, but I can only image how challenging that would have been. Good job!
Great video, what size is the dry bag?
Thanks!! It was the Eureka 115L
Did i stumble across a youtude video with my cousin in it lol
45:33 is that boardwalk new?? I don't remember it being there when I visited back in 2012
It is! Not sure how new but a few have pointed it out that it wasn't there not too long ago.
What brand and size is that dry pack?
Edit : Looks like it says Eureka! 115L at 20:10 . Is that correct? I didn't know Eureka! made dry packs.
That is correct! They do but are hard to find and I’m not sure they still make them. The crew brought the MEC 115L Slogg HD and it does the job well, with back support!
Where can I purchase that same lightweight grill?
Check out this website. They have the whole lineup. www.canadianoutdoorequipment.com/purcell-trench-traveler-grill.html
No fishing gear?!
Mark brought his fishing rod but sadly, not much time to fish. He did catch one later on while on a rest day
Seth Rogans Dad! :)
Lol true!
