For crying out loud turn the couches more towards each other they don't have to be practically straight parallel with the wall. If you actually pivot the couches 22° to 40° and you can look at each other more dead on people will feel more comfortable than having to look sideways

Get proper seating, it’s the reason people who game are so unhealthy because they sit in these reclined chairs for hours and hours. Gaming companies have invented state of the art chairs now. Your spine are your lungs for your body
Just get a few of them comfortable swivel accent chairs at IKEA and make a triangle of trust or something, bc it is awkward trying to have a conversation with someone while sitting next to them on a couch, you almost have to sit in a fruity way just to talk face to face with them.
