I knew you'd like this world because Auron's in it. So weird knowing the fact that Auron met donald and Goofy, The reason why his Gourd is gone is because this game got an E rating in the US, Final Fantasy X got a T rating in the US so obviously they had to censor it to get the E rating because Alcohol in a kids game is a no-no. As for his sunglasses well this is the younger auron you see in the sphere flashbacks but after the Yunalesca fight, so he's already dead but an unsent but this is prior to him meeting Tidus, so he doesn't have the sunglasses yet. As for why he doesn't remove his sleeve, probably because they wanted to make the transition to action combat easier so they didn't have to animate the moving sleeve.
