Why he is not using his new bass model "Sire guitars" =(
I saw last night and he used a sire 5 string on most of the afrodeezia tunes (including this one) but the older stuff he played like Detroit and run for cover were on the fender and a few little bits were on the musicman
Because Sire gave him the freedom and respect to let him decide what bass he feels is best for any particular song. Marcus is known for his '77 Jazz, yet he's never played it on each and every song. He even road retired it a few years ago. Which bass Marcus plays changes according to the situation.
