    Hey guys obviously this is NOT current, but rather an old video re-uploaded. It contains some good info, so why not have it part of the channel. Thanks for watching! See you guys next week with a new video. -Nico

      I would assume that losing all your subs and having to build from scratch has taken the wind out a little, and maybe you've moved on to a different phase in life, but I loved your channel and wish you the best

      @@josephhertzberg2734 thank you for the kind words. Yea having the channel reset definitely did not help an already difficult situation with lack of time and funds to build cars. But I still really enjoy making videos so I’m just gonna keep plugging along, and those who wanna see them can watch along :)

    So good to see one of the old videos! I know you lost the old videos, but if by any chance you can get them, would be nice to revisit max´s Sedan! Or, go visit him and update us on the state of the build...

    Debating right now if I should use electrical fan instead of a fan clutch for my cooling system on my 535i.

    Any chance you still have that link for the Thermo Switch? I'm needing something in M14x1.5 for my radiator.

    Would the late model M20 radiator be fine with the spal aux fan? My car is 1989 320i with M50B20 engine swap, I had the 324 diesel mechanical fan but it broke my radiator so now im thinking to switch to electric fan, any help?

    Question I still have my stock front aux fan . I’m installing a fan as a puller on the inside of the engine bay would I remove the oem aux fan in the front ? Or wire them both to work ?

    Hi!! If you have a time, i want some advice from you.
    My e30 318is (m42) is about brken aux fan. so not cool air..
    I got a new aux pan from partshop.
    I'm wonder about replacement ways.
    1. front removal-- removal front bumper etc. and replace aux fan. - like you.
    2. rear removal-- removal radiator etc. and replace aux fan.
    Which way is good for save money, working time ??

    if the pusher fan is in front of the ac condenser will it still manage to keep the engine cool?

    You went from 3 wires to two on the temp sensor. How did you choose which two wires to use?

    • @SaltCityEuros
      @SaltCityEuros  3 года назад +1

      I was hoping the video would show that detail 😞 But basically you go from a hi and low speed set up to single speed, so you gotta check continuity on the wires to figure out which one is which.

    • @BRBRDSIGN
      @BRBRDSIGN Год назад

      I used the high speed, its easy to know wich one is high, Just turn on AC and the fan must turn on (high speed)

  • @bmata1989
    @bmata1989 Год назад

    The fan comes by default as an extractor. How did you get it to push air into the engine? Did you invert the blades or does the direct current connect it to the opposite wires and it rotates backwards?

    • @BRBRDSIGN
      @BRBRDSIGN Год назад

      I had the same issue, just invert the wires

    I have a e36 and I want to run a fan in the front of the radiator like you did but I wanna keep my fan clutch too can I do that? I see that you don’t have a fan clutch and everyone just replaced there old fan clutch for a electric fan I never seen anyone so both?

    • @Nangjelovski
      @Nangjelovski 3 года назад

      Why both? Fan clutch is usually junk and the electric fan is plenty enough

    Hey Salt City Euros, I'm a big fan of the channel, I installed an electric fan on my E30 and I was wondering what's the part number for the fan switch? P.S. you mentioned in the video that the part number will be in the description but it's not there,
    keep up the good work

    • @SaltCityEuros
      @SaltCityEuros  3 года назад +1

      So sorry about that.
      61311364272 make sure its 2 Prong and in our case, 82 degrees. If you have different setup/goals, adjust temp accordingly (92 for example)

    So does the e30 have 2 fans I just noticed the marks of my oem spinning off and making contact with radiator. Took out radiator for maintenance then I noticed another fan in the front.... was mine converted already? To have 2 fans pushing air at eachother doesn't seem productive to me lol
    I'm new to e30 world just got 325is a month ago.

    • @SaltCityEuros
      @SaltCityEuros  2 года назад +1

      Usually there is a Fan for the AC Condenser and a Fan for the Radiator (engine coolant)

    We sell higher wattage electric fans than those in this video at www.americanvolt.com/collections/electric-fans which includes radiator mounting kits. Various thermostat switch turn-on temps and NPT thread-in sizes available as well.
