I would imagine Andy’s fondness for green equipment comes from the relationship and service he gets from his dealer. We prefer our green equipment for the same reasons. We always tell our sales guys that the service department sells the equipment the salesman just does the paperwork
I like the humor, where I live we there is blue, red, green and orange equipment and tractors around us,we have green and red, when we get around our neighbors we kid each other and move on.good video.
I've never seen anyone plant around a piece of equipment, but have seen people mow around the first cutting round bales that they didn't pick up.🙄 Great field fixing!
I watched a guy pick up last year's second cut just last week so he could mow his first cut. Nit sure what he did with the hay but it was poor looking stuff.
Wow, wait a minute in my area everyone just assumed that John Deere painted their equipment green so it will just blend in with the surrounding so nobody would be able to see it till fall.
You all are haven a ruff year WEATHER & BREAKDOWNS & AND SOME NEW SYSTEMS AND COMPANY'S THAT DON'T QUIT KNOW HOW TO HELP YA BUT YOU DO A GOOD JOB AND SOLVE THEM FOR THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess I rode the rough out of that thing many moons ago, I remember the sunflower chisel plow you had also had problems with week welds as well as my uncles.
You’re going to see that for sure. John Deere combines do a majority of the harvesting across the country therefore you are going to see more of them burnt sitting in the fields
Split pretty evenly around here. S series had lots of rotor gearbox and wiring fires. Just ribbing you more than anything. Ideals are bad for burning as well
A Guy listening to the beginning of this mite think you are partial to the green equipment however if there was no red equipment there would be nothing to laugh at would there
Lol....I always heard, "the equipment is painted red so the mechanic can find it when he comes to the field to repair it." PS: I've never farmed a day in my life.....too busy building structures and the grocery store was close!
And the comments like that are why he does it. Color really doesn't matter, it boils down to what you are familiar with, and the service the dealer provides.
He's just joking . I don't run green paint and it doesn't bother me. I've even heard him joke on kubotas . I run 9 of them and I have tons of hours without any waterpump failures or fan drives that only last 2k hours or any of that 😅 but it all breaks and everybody has an opinion. The best dealer in my area is a kubota dealer. They are the best i have ever dealt with. If they were to switch colors, I would switch with them . We have and used to run mostly case equipment the support that I get from it is not were it should be. I have to order things that should be in stock, and it's always well" If you really need it, I can order it overnight and you pay for it" that doesn't happen with the kubota stuff. I guess it matters what you have for service and parts but I use tractors in the 85 to 180 range and the kubotas seem perfect for that role and we do lots of rough steep and rocky ground and they don't seem to breakdown very often and or I can get parts same day or next day no extra charge and with the exception of the 2 big units we have they are simple and reliable
The guy who spends more on jd repairs then the rest of youtube combined bashing other colors is the very definition of a deere queer your dad needs to hide the checkbook from you
Because he has a daily farm only not a grain farm as the rest of youtubers h a ve.Any needs to have all the equipment to stay ahead of planting seasons and putting manure on the fields for fertlizater.
@@michaelolenick4078 we do the same thing, with half jd half caseih. We prefer red but green is decent. Color bashing when your green shit is broken all the time is pathetic, especially for generational farmer and his daddy's checkbook
Haha, some one got triggered…@uhohspagettioh97531. I was talking to your father the other day and he was really looking forward to the day where you start to take over some more responsibilities, but he said that you just aren’t ready or mature enough for that yet. I told him not to stress on it too much that you just might not have what it takes to be that guy.
@@uhohspagettioh97531 relax there guy you get so offended over what a Deere guy said I almost think you're a Democrat. I mean for one thing it was a sunflower disk and they're notoriously under engineered and built to light. He was just chain yanking. Grow a thicker skin
@@FarmingFixingFabricating I pieced together a dairy herd at 18 bought my farm at 20 with zero family involvement especially my dad. Thanks for the entertainment Andy nice repair. On to the next one. Have a good day.
Bravo! Nice team work on that molten metal Sunflower disk ripper parts at the bench and of course the Fixing and Fabricating in the field.

Another good one Andy Thanks for the video's 🚜👍🇺🇲
Tks for sharing.
Always a good time on the farm 🚜
Great bunch of folks backing you up Andy.
Your one lucky son of a gun 😂
Thanks for sharing 👍
The beauty of green equipment is when you plant around it the green blends in with crops so you don't see it
Good to see old fashioned Stick Welding. Good job, Andy.
Another very interesting video Thank you Andy 😊😊😊😊😊

😂😂 Andy is an expert level internet troll!!
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO Andy ❤
Very good video, thanks for sharing.
What you saw with the cylinders is why I always want pins that can hold the coupling together like a bolt or a pin with threaded ends.
Is that from turning with the implement in the ground.
Ive ran a lot of sunflower and usually there iron is good.
Neighbour of mine had a one year old JD tractor stolen from his yard. His biggest worry afterwards was that the thief might bring it back.
Over the years we rescued our share of green and red equipment Nice to have a sense of humor when something like that happens.
Good work keep it up thank you
Great repair job team
Andy can make a joke or two and still keep a straight face.

I noticed that your joke deers never break down. Lol. You probably bought your dealer a new house just from the repairs in the last couple years. Lol
Uh oh, are you triggered
Good grief Andy it's beautiful down there between those mountains I almost pay you to work up them fields...😅 Tired of Kansas!
Disc welds never last
That is ok guys it happens could have been worse at least your up and rolling to gitter done good job
Nate was sending it just a little too hard for the red equipment
I thought that the hay was looking close to being cut.
Those OEM welds looked pretty bad. No penetration. It might be a good place for some gussets to take the torsional stress out of it
Only thing planted around here in the spring are the burnt green combines. Insurance takes their sweet time getting them removed.

Do you even have any "Green" tillage equipment? Can't remember from previous videos. 😊😊
Going to weld "Call the girls in"they are going to be mad.
Hi Andy.
... Spray some yellow paint on the repair....red won't work....
Ya found your hat 🤪
Nice
Congrats on your grants hourigans
Congrats on not understanding that if farms don't get any USDA support then the price of groceries has to go up in stores more yet
Thank you…. It’s amazing farming today in 2024. The money can’t be printed fast enough for us to spend it
andy you're starting to sound like the CASE dealers of the '60s 😅😅😅😅
caint believe it , an AGCO product failure ????? not like faded paint saying it has massive acreage on it or anything .....
👍
Well andy! Better to be 2 weeks behind on the videos then 2 weeks behind on the farming
How much of ur corn is planted already ???
Not all of it yet
Andy, I might be wrong but that just looks like a poor design on Sunflower's part.
Perhaps you'll have to paint it green !!!
Lmao if you think changing the paint color will improve the poor quality of a piece of Sunflower tillage equipment you must be buying a special paint.
Just thought it would blend into the vegetation better 🫣
The green stuff you just push in the hedgerow when it breaks down and it’s camouflaged
Maybe more time inspecting equipment less time checking out dirt pics???
Yeah you are probably right….. anything else I should be doing?

You nock red equipment down but you don't when it comes to your green junk that breaks down
