My first car was an '85 Mustang GT it was a early production with a 4bbl. That was 1989, i had to replace thr front clip, radiator support and rebuilt the engine. It had hit a bridge and the front end ended up in thr water and hydro locked the engine.
My next car was a 1986 Xr4ti. My God i loved that car. It was perfect in every way. But i was 17 and got bored with cars quickly and sold it after 10mo.

Absolutely Edwin 🤩. I learned so much about cars owning this unique vehicle. Through the good and bad I grew as a person during those years. Valuable lessons are never forgotten. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

what a treat to hear from Red5oh!
yes, when i was becoming of age drawing was one of my favorite pass time. when you’re that young building model cars and stuff like that, it gave a feeling of owning just a piece of your dreams. now we’re adults with the whole car, it spends more time in a dark garage. haha! well I guess that’s why they say it’s the journey…

@@xrmerkur yeah it’s interesting to hear stories how all of us got started with our car enthusiast journey! To most people cars are just A to B but we have the connection with our cars. I didn’t get rid of my first car for longest time even though it didn’t run and everyone thought I was crazy for wanting to keep my first car lol

@@Red5oh when we appreciate the more blessings come our way. you can blame the widely adapted lease program for the loss love of cars. the general public sees cars today as just an appliance.

Dang! Friend that is so impressive! very informative which is so much for me to absorb since I am just an ordinary driver with not much idea about cars let alone merkur and many more. video is executed well and thought well. It's inspiring that now I will put into video what I have been wanting to do with my husband transitions from childhood to now in terms of cars. thank you my friend and once again..... Kudos to your video and its content.

the love of cars across the world is infectious. so many styles and designs for everyone’s needs. definitely plenty of obscure vehicles to discover. i’m grateful that you watched my video and took a moment to comment. i usually make notes in my phone of my next video ideas. whenever i get opportunity i add more details until a general story outline is established. as you know it’s so much work, but feedback like yours makes the process rewarding. much success to you guys constructing your next project.

Great video, but ultimately it sounds like you et your love for the Merkur fade away. I've had mine for almost 35 years, its currently going through a metamorphosis and will come back as the most radical Merkur on the face of the planet. Stay tuned it should make detriot autorama in 2026

hello Cathy, thanks for watching and commenting on my video. i admired the Merkur pre-ownership, during my ownership and post-ownership. At this point in my life i victoriously fulfill my love for the Merkur through all the people keeping them on the road. if i ever secure some disposable income; aka win the lottery, i will buy a Mint Condition XR4Ti.
