How Far Has BMW Turbo Technology Come?

In this video I do a technical comparison between the S58 found in my new G80 M3 Competition and the N54 found in my E90 335i.
Given more than a decade separates them in terms of development I thought it would be interesting to see how the technology has evolved. I also touch on some of the differences between the standard B58 that was found in the A90 Toyota Supra and the S58 along with the differences found between the engine found in the G20 M340i and the A91 Supra.
This video compares an S motor from an M car to an N motor found in an E series BMW and it's interesting to see some of the similarities.
