I love their new cages and set-up! We just got a 2 new Kings cages for our foster birds. We got them at a great price through the rescue we volunteer for.
There such lucky birds, I bet they are enjoying their new cage so much! You are so inspirational, All you're birds have so many amazing perches and toys, I cant even imagine how much that must've cost for all of those awesome perches and toys but that shows how much you care about your birds!
My budgies used to have the same basket toy that you have in the corner. It was huge compared to them but they loved it and managed to shred the whole thing with their tiny little beaks.
Has David done a video of the new cockatiel cage set up if so i don't seem to be able to find it the new cages look awesome i was thinking of upgrading my cockatiel cage with the £89 one would that be o.k for a cockatiel on its own
@@karenwilson3248 found it! Yes it would be fine but you might want to wait for Black Friday as our one will likely get to about £100 so only £10 more for almost triple the space!
Could you kindly link the perches, really liked a few.. Also i have a question.. my cockatiel has been “attacking” few of her toys, not all the time, some times she chews on them normally.does that have any meaning? Thank you x Cute birds ❤️

Love the new cages! I have one for my kakariki 😊. Quick question if you don't mind about the easichick.....I tried it last year after seeing one of your videos and my kak got sores on his feet straight away, almost like he had an allergic reaction to it. I obviously took it out straight away and his feet were better in a few days. Do you think I was just unlucky and it was a faulty bag? It did smell quite strongly too, almost farm like 😬 I would like to use a substrate again as they are naturally ground feeders so if you have any ideas on what else I could try I'd be really grateful x
Hey! Did you get it on a branded easichick bag? Of no then there’s the risk of contamination or it not being what it says! If yes, it’s possible that the shop didn’t store it correctly! We’ve been using it for years with all of ours without any issues at all! You could either try it again and see if it was a coincidence, or you can use dust free, unscented and untreated pine shavings for small animals 😊
@@BirdNerdSophie Thanks for the reply! Yes it was in the branded bag but I can't remember from which place I bought it. I'll give it another go I think and see if it was a one off 😊
Could you please tell me about the substrate from easy chick? That’s what the closed caption on this video says and I tried to Google it but cannot find it.
I bought a flat wooden perch recently which feels a bit spongy. It looks and smells normal but I've soaked it in an F10 bath just in case. Do you think it's okay to use?
@@BirdNerdSophie No, it didn't say but it looks like half a log with bark on the underside. From the colour of it, it could be pine but they all look the same to me...
(Hey Sophie, my cockatiel has a debris (his own debris or feather It really bothers him And his eye is a little red, probably because of the rubbing and scratching, how do I help him get it out? Can I get it out with my finger? It's on his eyeball. Please rely asap!, thanks
If you have human grade single use alone eye wash like you would get in a first aid kit you can try that, or spray your cockatiel with a water bottle like you are bathing them!
Hi I have a question about breeding cockatiels. I have a pair of cockatiels one male and one female. When I bought them the breeder said that this pair usually lay eggs. It is now breeding season and I am not sure how to help them to start laying eggs. When have given them the nesting box and cover a bit of the cage for privacy. We leave them in our living room which is the only space available for them. I am not sure if they will still breed while being around us or lay eggs. The male has tried to breed with the female but we are not sure if they have. The female on the other hand has been chipping at the nesting box door for quite some time now I think she has been doing it since we got the nesting box. But still has not layed an egg and I am not sure what are signs of a pregnant cockatiel. I am wondering how to get them to start breeding and laying eggs and also if I should leave there cage door closed or open if I want them to breed. Sorry for the paragraph and if you can not answer it I was just wondering.
Thank you Sophie.. a perfect cage for Conures . All the accessories in it are pet bird safe, I hope viewers can get Ideas from watching this.

Sometimes attacking toys can be linked with hormonal behaviour!

Yes! It’s called easichick - it’s dust free and bacteria free wood fibre bedding! I have a whole video on here about substrate!
where do I find the cockatiel cage vid?

I heard the chip bedding isn't good for parrots, I'm so confused now.
As mentioned in my other comment, substrate is perfectly safe to use when you use an appropriate one and correctly!

Hi there - I don’t actually recommend breeding cockatiels so I’m not the best person to ask!
@@BirdNerdSophie oh sorry I didn’t know
Cage name pls
I’d you click on my Amazon store in the description it will show you as it doesn’t have a proper name!
