Merry Christmas everyone 🎄and I hope you all have a brilliant new year as well 😁. Thank you for all your continued support and I look forward to taking you on many more adventures in 2024 🙂
silicone spray on the rubbers stops them sticking in winter, Brendan. And Brendan, you know as well as all of us vanners, a van is NEVER finished. We love the videos because you are you. No pretense, no false character. Just as the title of the channel says "Brendan explores" good idea on the family channel. I'll deffo follow. Have a great chrimbo and new year. All the best to you and family. Much respect- Kenny
Get your cloth that you want to cover the foam in, cover the foam then envelope fold the corners then tuck underneath and get a strong staple gun and staple cloth underneath. You can use a spray carpet glue to add extra strength if needed. That's how i've done mine...I need someone to buy or donate me a power supply Great video buddy..... Happy Christmas to you and the family P.S I used White uPVC Cladding from a roofing suppliers and did my ceiling you can use it for on the cupboard and its easy to wipe clean, if your ever near Cardiff i have a few pieces left over.
Timber slats for the cladding. Just search 'wood slat paneling' to see what it looks like. Easy enough to do yourself by buying lengths of thin stripwood (around 20mm x 4mm thick) from the big diy shops and gluing and pinning to the ply. Paint the existing ply black as makes the slats stand out more and butt the first slat up to the step to hide the gap and work outwards from there to the edges, On the front where you've got the wonky cut around the door and the shape of the door to follow, put the slats at 45deg angle as it willl be easier to follow the profile of the door as you've only got the narrow end of the slats to cut to follow the profile. Aluminium angled profile to the edge to finish and protect it.
Hi mate v joint tongue and groove cladding would look great on there 👌not too pricey and easy to fit as you do it 1 piece at a time. I agree 100% about van prices! All a bit silly at the moment, I too am on the look out for a bigger van. Have a great Christmas pal and thanks for the entertainment 👏👏
I hope you & your family had a very Merry Christmas! 🎄I hope you are still on a well deserved break away from youtube & enjoying spending time with your loved one's! Your plans for 2024 sound wonderful! It's always so nice to see your dad, please send my regards and well wishes. I wish you all the very best for a beautiful rest of the Holiday Season and a Safe, Healthy & Happy New Year! 🎆🎆✨✨Please give Mika a cuddle for me! 💖Lots of love Kathy x
Love your content. First channel, I check whenever I go onto RUclips. Really relatable, down to earth genuine guy. Keep being you, mate. Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Another great vid! Some sticky back plastic vinyl wrap like you used on car camper table would make the ply wipeable and comes in loads of colour’s. As for your foam I’ve used teddy fleece single fitted sheets to cover my foam as it stretch’s nicely . Have a great Christmas with the family
Yep I have a solution for you Brendan. I have had many vans, the easiest way to stop all the ice and stuff is to buy a large bottle of isopropyl alcohol. Dilute it 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. It melts ice instantly inside and out, also is amazing at cleaning anything. Love your videos, been watching since the beginning. Thanks so much for
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family. Love your dad, what a lovely chap he is. I got a Trafic which I am converting to a campervan and learn a lot from your video's. Thank you.
I would be tempted to take the foam and chosen fabric to a local amateur seamstress, often found on Facebook. Get a zip or buttons fitted to it, so its removable and washable. It won't be as much as you fear. Merry Christmas. 🥳
Merry Christmas Brendan to you and all the family 🎅🏻 Thank you for providing such great content through out the year and looking forward to seeing what you get up to in 2024.
Thanks Mike, really appreciate that mate 🙂 it's been a good year with the help and support from viewers like you 👍. Have a brilliant Christmas and see you next year 😉😁🎄👍
Always look forward to watching your videos Brendan. Best quote from this one "I can't sew, don't want to learn" lol. Merry Christmas to you, dad and the family
Hey bud, get yourself a can of silicone spray and rub on a cloth round your seals , it stops them freezing up/sticking 👍🏼 Edit… have a look for zipped outdoor /seat covers I’m sure you’ll find some easy enough I’ve been looking myself 😊 Hope you have a great Christmas mate
Merry Christmas to you and your family Brendan, I’ve loved watching your channel in 2023, it’s one of my favourites and one of the channels I look forward to getting a new video from. I’m looking forward to seeing where you go and what you get up to in 2024. I enjoy the videos with your dad too, you’re a good double act! 😂 Keep up the good work, you’re always so pleasant and down to earth to watch. Great work on getting the van up to standard too! Have a brilliant time over the holidays. All the best.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Brendan! A!flowers are an awesome product! They've sent me several solar batteries and panels to try out and I've been impressed with all! Use spray glue for fabric to wrap your foam in fabric. I built a bench seat in my RV with the foam glued to a piece of plywood and then covered it with vinyl. The vinyl was glued to the foam and stapled to the plywood. Worked a charm. I did a seat and back, which formed a sofa, then lay flat for a single bed. You can look in a fabric store for a trim to finish off the edges. It's been great getting to know you, your Dad, Steve, Mattie and others through your adventures! I aspire to be as successful on YT as you have been! I've got a ways to go, but I'm working on it!😁
Merry Christmas brendan I have enjoyed your videos since I have started watching them merry Christmas to your dad looking forward to watching the videos again in the new year in the mean time enjoy your time with your family
Happy Christmas Brendan, my advice would be to cover your bed foam with a old duvet cover and fold it under. That way if you get any spillages or dirt on it you can just take it off and wash it. Cheers Deb x
P.s. caravan wall covering would work well there its tough and washable but not exactly cheap. And for the trim edging have a look in the metal sections box in places like wicks and b and q.
Great video Brendan, the van has come such a long way and is looking great mate. Thanks for sharing and entertaining me for all 2023 and before, I love your channel, I hope it continues to grow throughout 2024. Have a brilliant Christmas to you, your old man and the rest of your family. 👍
@BrendanExplores get it from most garages etc m8 , my favourite is the lemon scented one sold at lpw truckwash , whitwood truckstop. But they operate all over the country. Go see the guys in the little hut , few quid each lasts ages !
Hi Brendan, for the foam i just use single bed duvet covers. Litterally put them in side then pull it tight and stuff the excess underneath. Not the best but covers well. I also hear people use thin hard board on the base and staple fabrics to that as it'll still flex and move (with in reason) not seen it in person though. hope this helps✌️ Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Nice to see dad again. Have a fantastic xmas and here's looking forward to an exciting weekend 2024. Good health to you and the family. Take care mate.
Don't use vinyl wrap it will peel in the winter...maybe consider Taking the wood off and use laminate flooring for cladding... Or just leave the wood on if you can't be bothered and put laminate flooring on top . Use mastic/silicone to attach the flooring
I think id be gutted if you got a bigger van, ive loved the vivaro so much ive went n got my own and started my own build 😂 also, its amazing what your dad brings to the videos, what a nice guy. All the best for the new year mate
First off Merry Christmas mate have a good en ! 🎅🎅As for the worktop / cabinate where the door opens get some splashback offcuts or vinyl wraps for them easy to apply and can get all sorts of colours/patterns for next to nowt 👍
Merry Christmas. I used to be a soft furnisher and have made my own zip covers for our van conversion. If you fancy a trip to the Isle of Wight I will make the covers for you.
Put your diesel heater on a few minutes before you start the van, toasty warm and all defrosted, from the comfort of your house with the remote , merry xmas
Silicone or we40 on door rubbers will help also I would plastic clad as if you have door open in rain carpet will deteriorate Merry Christmas happy new year and look forward to seeing you in the new year
18:16 I'd probably put some fabric on it but do it ruffled like a curtain if that makes sense? A little different. I dunno. And/or re-cut the wood to make it fit better! Hell, I'll even do it myself lol. As for the foam, I think you are going to have to do some sewing. And I'd do it like a giant pillow case so you can take it off easily for washing. Again, I'd do it lol, I've grown quite accustomed to sewing after all the things I've been working on for my own camping stuff. Or just get something custom made lol. Hope you have a great Christmas!
Thanks for the suggestions mate 🙂 definitely worth having something that's removable for the cusions I think 👍. Great idea! Have a great Christmas mate 😁

The best way I’m doing that is to stick glue the foam to some plyboard, then put the fabric over the foam around the ply and stable it down how much easiest way to do it without sewing
Nice one mate, hope you and the family have a great Christmas 🎄 all the best! P.S for the mattress you could use a material type staple gun? Or take it to be professionally done, but it can be a little expensive 😂

Bed cover solution: we used duvet covers, we folded under then sewed but you could also use medium size safety pins.

Stick on tiles for your cabinet, be easy to wipe down too.
Merry Christmas 🎄
Frozen doors used to drive me nuts, clean the door seals with wd40. stops them from freezing and sticking.
Ahhh nice one mate 🙂 appreciate the tip 👍 I've got loads of wd40 left over
@@BrendanExplores Silicone spray tends to last a tad longer. Spray around the seals and wipe with a microfibre cloth all around. JD.
Finish the sides of with some work top vinyl or Self Adhesive Wall Tile, B&M store have the tiles, B&Q sell the worktop vinyl.

Try a roll of contact paper or laminate. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. From Bristol, TN in the US.
Brendan, spray WD40 around the door rims, issues will be non existent. Keep a small tin in vehicle.
Simpliest solution without mixing anything.
