    You bring up so many good points! My son was capped and we immediately picked UTA. He eventually decided to attend UTD because he was accepted into his preferred major. My step-daughter, however, ended up capped, attending UT Tyler. Your point about always being able to back out but not always being able to pick UTA was exactly our experience. My step-daughter's cap experience so far at UTT is very much in line with your experience.

      I guess the whole idea is that since UT is in Texas, they want Texas residents to still have the opportunity to go there. So if you’re a Texas high school graduate with promising potential, you’ll likely get capped as a result of them not having enough space the year you applied for.

I also had a tonnn of AP credits and it was a little hard for me to reach 30 hours for the year too now I have 100% of my core curriculum done and it’s still a win. Hey! So I'm joining UTA in fall 2021, and i have some concern about my living situation. In your video, you referred to West Hall as being situated on the bad side of the campus. Does that mean the area around West Hall is unsafe in general?

    • @sarahhxu
      @sarahhxu  3 года назад +2

      The area around west hall is very safe, I mean all the student dorms on campus are in good, safe locations. We just don't suggest west hall because it is on the opposite side of campus of the majority of the food places and the University Center so its like a 10ish minute walk. But West Hall is newer so it's a little nicer.
