i remember YEARS before i played TBOI:R for the first time i found out about skinless hush through a joke mod called “Abortionbirth”. It wasnt really much, it was basically just hush with a womb texture and with all of hush’s sprites being replaced with a static image of skinless hush. Either way it was pretty cool to find out that SH was actually a cut enemy from the original game, cool vid :)
I wonder if the robot is spawned through some sort of glitch. Maybe the game runs a spawn enemy routine that gets somehow interfered with, spawning the wrong enemy. I also wonder if there is a list of enemies that are allowed to spawn that exists somewhere in the mission. Considering how chaotic the level appears and how developed the enemy appears it sounds possible that it was included in this hypothetical list of allowed enemies but was never meant to spawn, as if it’ll only do so for some sort of fail safe
I remember hearing about the giant robot in Jak 3 years ago. And now every time I reply that game, part of my mind is always hyper aware when I get to that mission. I really hope the robot never spawns for me.
I've still got my fingers crossed that one day some dedicated maniac[s] will make a hacked ISO of _Silent Hill_ that adds those cut monsters back into the game.
According to Tyrone Rodriguez, the Skinless Hush was indeed intended to be another form of the Hush boss. In this third phase, it would have removed its skin and come out of the ground as a partially skeletal creature with a hook for a hand. Weirdly, however, Edmund McMillen claimed that the sprites left over in the files were intended as a red herring to mess with dataminers.
Considering Silent Hill was created to compete with Resident Evil I guess that explains why so many cut enemies are mutated animals. But I'm glad they got rid of them and instead took a different approach with the psychological horror
My personal guess is maybe the devs planned a zoo level, but only got as far as modeling the monsters before scrapping the idea. We unfortunately might never know since even Ito was like “I designed them, but that’s all I’m gonna say.” Dude is rather tight lipped regarding scrapped content.
I do actually find the headless ostriches kind of creepy. Headless beings in general unnerve me though. We still have bugs, dogs and those irritating air screamers as "animals".
For the Jak 3 giant robot. I think i have an idea, now this is just a theory not a proper solution. I think the giant robot was to be like a miniboss for the defend the HQ mission but the developers didn't like it because of memory constraints so they decided to get rid of it and its attacks but some of the data still exists in the game's coding meaning that the robot will show up randomly before fully disappearing.
6:08 it's just an early version of Darkbeast Paarl creature-boss, which also uses electricity in the released game. And Paarl's design is waaaay more cursed (in a good way) than this early version. I'm glad they were allowed to go ballistic on the final designs

I really appreciate these kinds of videos! Lately a lot of the games covered have been pretty obscure. A couple obscure games here and there is fine, but the videos are a lot easier to watch when the games covered are actually heard of!
i did know about the silent ill 1 enemies but as luck would have it there is footage from a cut bossfight from downpour that just got uploaded today. strange things do happen.
2:01 No doubt someone's already said this in the comments but I think that is supposed to be a Tsuchinoko which is a Yokai(ghost) in Japan that is basically a mythical, flat snake.
Wow, these enemies are definitely the creepiest enemies of all time.......I too find giant robots really creepy, thank you oddheader for showing me these creepiest of all time enemies.
IIRC that concept art was just a test to see exactly how far Disney would let them go before going “that’s too far, you need to tone it down.” I think Warren Spector confirmed the game was never intended to be as dark as that “test” art.
For the Egg Dragon in Sonic Adventure 1, it was only used in that first stage of the Egg Chase because it basically gets taken out not by Sonic and Tails, but by Eggman’s own ship.
I just wanna say, the RUclips end of the year recap for gaming content is flawed. It had Hbomberguy as my top gaming creator, and you weren’t even on the list! didn't it have it's own attacks that were completely different and unfair?
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Here's looking forward to more like this from you in the near future!
FINALLY, THE BEST TIME OF THE MONTH!
I'm so glad he said Dr. Robotnik and not Eggman.
Skinless Hush looks much more like Delirium.
Seeing your production go up for the live action bits makes me really happy :)
I wonder if the werewolf zombie was actually a cut sonic ti in... Cause the ring around his neck and the werehog sonic...
Thank God this vid released right now
daddy odd is back with another banger
Video starts at 0:50
For the Jak 3 giant robot.
I love that he made the brownies
also the great one beast looks absolutely incredible
you made the brownies haha every day is a good day when you upload
ikr
#1 was a letdown but the rest of the video was great. Good job man! 👍🏻
8:24 Still hard to believe that Fortnite was a VERY different game once
Save the World is out I’m pretty sure…
You can still play Save the World.
6:08 it's just an early version of Darkbeast Paarl creature-boss, which also uses electricity in the released game. And Paarl's design is waaaay more cursed (in a good way) than this early version. I'm glad they were allowed to go ballistic on the final designs
Wow, one of the few times you've brought a piece of trivia I actually knew about. I remember reading about the dragon robot in Sky Chase act 1 a long time ago, before RUclips was a thing.
Hush Skinless just looks like an early form of Delirium to me
I really appreciate these kinds of videos! Lately a lot of the games covered have been pretty obscure. A couple obscure games here and there is fine, but the videos are a lot easier to watch when the games covered are actually heard of!
I find myself having a sixth sense for odd header vids
After about a month, I’ll check and it will have been uploaded within an hour of looking
Oddheader is my beloved RUclipsr.
Man even seeing gameplay of Jak 3 makes me want to go back and play the trilogy again
to make the glados thing worse im fairly sure the face would be upsidedown as glados form resembles a hanging bound woman
Its Caroline's head
i did know about the silent ill 1 enemies but as luck would have it there is footage from a cut bossfight from downpour that just got uploaded today. strange things do happen.

“I lost friends over that damn machine.” I felt his pain… Oddheader you never disappoint either bro XD I always enjoy the content 😅👍🏼
Great video; can always count on you for something creepy but still lighthearted.
2:36 sometimes no comment means the truth is boring so ill just leave no comment cause "they were just weird places holders" its that exciting
Always a good day when oddheader posts 👍
“Then later in 2020, when everyone had more time on their haha for some reason” let’s forget about that year huh
2:01 No doubt someone's already said this in the comments but I think that is supposed to be a Tsuchinoko which is a Yokai(ghost) in Japan that is basically a mythical, flat snake.
Honey, a new oddheader released
Oh goodness I LOVE monsters in video games, and it's always a treat to find hidden ones.
Rise my brothers, our Lord theoddheader has send us new video
Wow, these enemies are definitely the creepiest enemies of all time.......I too find giant robots really creepy, thank you oddheader for showing me these creepiest of all time enemies.
Always a good day when you post
I would say Epic Mickey has creepy cut enemies but it’s not in a video game, it’s just concept art
IIRC that concept art was just a test to see exactly how far Disney would let them go before going “that’s too far, you need to tone it down.” I think Warren Spector confirmed the game was never intended to be as dark as that “test” art.
I’m awake, I’m here. New video, glad to see it, etc etc. you know this drill.
My favorite youtube channel. Thank you for your content sir.
The brownie cut made me actually laugh out loud😂😂😂😂😂😂
For the Egg Dragon in Sonic Adventure 1, it was only used in that first stage of the Egg Chase because it basically gets taken out not by Sonic and Tails, but by Eggman’s own ship.
always a fun day when i see a oddheader video! thank you for making my day off just a little more enjoyable :)
wasnt the electric bloodborne beast an actual boos? i swear i remember fighting him in my playthrough
Its so gooood to have you back!
Classic oddheader is back and amazing!
I see Isaac content in thumbnail, I click.
Now he change it into the human face of Glados
I'm a huge fan of you, you made a lot of interesting videos, they release rarely buy they're beautiful, thanks for making them ❤
I just wanna say, the RUclips end of the year recap for gaming content is flawed. It had Hbomberguy as my top gaming creator, and you weren’t even on the list! There is no video game content creator I go out of my way to watch more than you (although Sphere Hunter’s videos are longer, so I’m sure that does something to the metrics). Anyway, I got nothing but love for ya, and you’re #1 in my heart! Here’s to an even better 2025.
Babe, wake up Oddheader uploaded
Man, video game mysteries never stop surprising me
its a good day when oddheader uploads
Great video! Some constructive criticism: I think the music could be ducked or lowered as it’s a bit loud and muddles with your voice.
As someone who’s played a but of Fortnite’s original game mode (Save the World) the Werewolf Zombie is mostly on par for the visuals STW had, but was likely cut for being too out of place story wise, and the Transylvania location was likely either a Halloween area for STW since I remember there being one when I played during October of maybe 2019, or just an entirely cut main area
