Thanks again for the short you made (for me!) of the cliffs. Came back from Texas on Monday. Wife was driving when we crossed into Alabama. Made her pull off and go through Epes. Crossed on that bridge just past the railroad bridge. Apparently, no one is on that road so we just stopped on the bridge for a couple of minutes to look. There's a sketchy road (goat path) on the west side that goes down under the bridge, but we didn't try to make it down
Looking at the barges and thinking how does that make you think of Tabasco? Then saw the red and green. Big Tabasco fan but you need to try Louisiana Gold. Came in one of those Christmas meat and cheese gifts about 25 yrs ago. Rouse's in Louisiana is where I found it, so always buy a couple of bottles if I'm near one. Daughter in Cleburne south of Ft Worth. Went there for Thanksgiving. Made it back to Dinosaur Valley St park and water was down so could see some of the tracks. Don't know if you've said what part of Texas you call home.
@@johnmarschalk1977 we went past the river up Avery Island and the birthplace of Tabasco yesterday. I’ll need to try the Gold Sauce. We are from central Texas. The boat will stay in Houston and we will visit our kids often while we are there. I have never made it to the dinosaur footprints. Would love to see them.
Correct. I know the purchased in Florida though it had a green stripe not the current blue. Such a beautiful boat. It is the big brother to our Whaleback. My husband’s dream boat.
@@UnderwayDriftingNDreaming Yeah, the old listing pictures are still viewable, and that's why I wasn't 100% sure... They had changed the boot stripe color. Thanks for answering. I agree it's an absolute dream boat. I'm glad to know now that it's suitable to the loop. I always thought the lack of side decks on the lower level might prove a hindrance, but it and your whaleback only have the upper side decks, and that's clearly not a problem! 😊 Do you know if they have a blog or youtube channel where I can live vicariously? 😂
What is the black thing in what looks like a rod holder on the starboard side boat deck rail? Is that a Thermacell with an extension that lets it sit in a rod holder?
Thank You I really enjoy watching you guys motor the rivers and all the chores on the boat, and yes I enjoy being in the south too❤️⚓️❤️⚓️
@@stanwalls6434 thanks for watching. It has been such a great experience to see some of the US by boat. Very excited to be back in the South.

@@johnmarschalk1977 the cliffs are stunning. Glad we got to see them. Cool you stopped on the bridge. So many hidden gems our country has to offer.

Is the Olympia that’s traveling with you the Krogen 55 Expedition that was on the market 12-18 months ago?

They are solar lanterns. The lights provide extra lighting on deck at night and in the anchorage.
