So Great! ❤️❤️❤️
He used to be a plumber in England before he became famous. His voice can’t be duplicated. R.I.P.
Brother was a gas fitter...
That was fantastic! The band, the backup singers and of course Joe. It doesn't get much better than is.
What a band! Wow!
I saw him with the Mad dogs and Englishmen back in1974ish in Montreal.
Gosh. I miss him
Joe Cocker absolutely blows this song out of the park. One sultry song, about stripping..? This song was covered by Etta James, Tom Jones and featured in the films 9 1/2 weeks and The Full Monty.
All the instruments are so perfect and Joe's raw vocals sensational.
Glad you kept your clothes on Harri, lol.
Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Dave. Great rockin tune!!! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Don:t forget Randy Newman,I would have loved to be with him when he researched this composition!
Great song originally written and performed by Randy Newman
I am a Randy Newman fanatic ❤
Joe Cocker is, as always, great here. The backup band, directed from the piano by the incomparable Leon Russell is terrific, too.
MAN! That is a room full of people! I miss him!
I first heard this song in the movie
🎥🍿The Full Monty, great movie,
Great song, and totally love Joe ❤️
Swagzilla baby. All damn day.
I absolutely love this song by Joe Cocker. It is so sexy and the performance by the entire band is perfection. Joe Cocker was an outstanding singer and performer, there will never be another like him.
Thanks brother!! Love it
I am from NOLA & we had a place in an old warehouse on the river. It was ‘69-70’s. It wasn’t a huge place so watching the bands were up close and personal. Tickets were 5-7 $. We just sat on carpet scraps on the floor. The Allman Brothers were the house band. I saw Joe Cocker and so many other bands. The coolest place ever!❤
Sounds like There Image down in Miami Beach back about the same time period. Was a converted bowling alley. Saw lots of great bands there. We got in free by sweeping up the place after the concert.
Great reaction, Harri!
When the Night Comes is also awsome!!!
I have loved this song as long as I can remember
I love Joe Cocker. He has a unique voice and style. This particular song is one of my favorites 💕
One of the all time greats. Hats off!!!!!!’n
Joe’s version of Cry me a River is my favorite, be a great one to react to!
I'm happy I saw him years ago.
For whatever reason, Joe Cocker makes any song his own. Written by Randy Newman. I love Cocker's voice.
It’s been a minute since I heard this one . I forgot about it.
Oh Dave you’re on a roll tonight! I love love love Joe Cocker. ☮️
What a nice comment. Thank you, Cynthia. Oh, there will be more Joe Cocker nuggets from my collection of his performances.
That was Chris Stainton on piano, Dortmund, Germany 1992
None better ! Unchain my Heart and The Letter(live) are musts .
Looks like Stevie Ray Vaughn on the right on guitar. Can that BE? If so, with Cocker, the sax player, the band, and the ladies singing, well good God, that audience was surely in the perfect place at just the right time. Thanks, Harri.
Not Stevie
Phenomenal
Part of the soundtrack for 9 1/2 weeks
THE LEGEND MR.JOE COCKER ❤❤❤❤❤❤
JOE COCKER..........please listen to this man ........................Peace & Love
Great song!!! Maybe next, Unchain my heart(esp. the official version, with him in a smoky bar)
A few months before the untimely death of Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1990. I watched greatness. Joe Cocker was touring with Stevie. Joe opened up the show and tore the house down I thought how much better can it get. Well, Stevie came on and took it to another another.
The sax reminds me of Junior Walker and the All Stars "Shotgun" but there's plenty of blues on the album which I still have., bought 1965.
I totally agree, the live version is the best. Plus there is the Derek Dyer solo!
Hari, have you ever had tears of Joy from a performance? This was amazing, loved the Sax and the whole band. What a great video, thanks!
My God how high was the energy in this performance, by all involved. Incredible musicianship by everyone!! Luv-luv-luved it!!!
Great request Dave. I have heard this by Tom Jones. Both have such a groove! Joe Crocker has such great energy. Wonder reaction Harri.
Yes Tom has a great version as well. 😉
Joe Cocker was great!
He used his voice so well!
I knew this song by the Randy Newman studio version in the 70's. On the radio.
His cover of 'A little help from my friends' impressed me very much, back in the day.
Thank you!!!
I agree about Joe did "A Little Help From My Friends" and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" better than the Beatles and I am a big Beatles fan.
@@charlesdavis7461 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🤝 🤜🏾🤛🏻 👌👌👌
The man knows how to kick ass for sure.
Harri, please take a look at Joe in Mad Dogs and Englishmen - With a Little Help From My Friends. One of the greatest concert performances you will ever see.
The movie that I remember that from is 9 !/2 Weeks with Kim Bassinger and Micky Rourke.
The first time I ever heard this song it was performed by Randy Newman.
Saw him in concert, him and Dr. John were the opening acts for Stevie Ray Vaughn, it was a Fandamntastic concert, a month later we lost Stevie.
His timing is amazing😎🤠
My favorite "stripper" tune...lol
Thank You Harri, Harri you played the song "" A Rainey Night in Georgia "" by Brooks Benton which is fantastic. There is a live video on RUclips of Joe Crocker and Tony Joe White the guy who wrote the song singing it as a duo it fantastic, okay Harri.🎸😎
Jonny Lang live on stage = Joe Cocker and Stevie Ray in one body!!!! you must SEE👀 this guy
Yes enjoyed it to Mendes Lee. Always love your show. You Play the music no one else does
Joe puts everything he has into his performances and together with his backup babes and band just phenomenal.
dear Lord,I think I passed out for a second.
This was a favorite too Dave! I think there was a show called Moonlighting w/Bruce Willis and I forget (maybe Cybil Shepard) and this was played in the background. Or maybe I just dreamed it..lol ! 🤔😉🙄👍✌
Joe commits to a song. RIP
Imagine what Edgar winter would've done with saxophone on this !
Hi Harri, excellent pick and excellent reaction. I always loved Joe Cocker. The first album I heard and bought of his was Mad Dogs & Englishmen. Still 1 of the best albums ever.
Whenever I hear this all I can think of is Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies!
First time I heard this song was on the soundtrack for the movie “Nine And A Half Weeks”. Kim Basinger did a sizzling dance to it in the movie.
Blue-eyed soul! Love Joe. Delta Lady is a favorite of mine.
From the movie Nine and Half Weeks
Our late really great friend's favorite song. A really good man . Miss ya Jim.
I miss this man. So much soul. A Legend! RIP JOE!
Thank you Harri and Dave!! 👊🏽
This is divine. He is divine and I absolutely adore this song!! ❤
And this version, lovely!! 🤩
Wow! You are very welcome and thank you.
I grew up with Joe Cocker's music. He was an English singer known for his gritty, bluesy voice & dynamic stage performances that featured expressive body movements. He recorded a few Beatles' songs "With A Little Help From My Friends", "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" & "Something". Other hits were "Up Where We Belong" (a duet with Jennifer Warnes), "Delta Lady", "Darling Be Home Soon", "Cry Me A River", "Feelin' Alright", "The Letter" etc.
The back up singers are dope!!
Deric Dyer is the sax player, He has some great music out there
Such serendipity! Jamel just reacted to Joe Cocker's Darling Be Home Soon for me. It's a much newer live version than I originally wanted, but at least it probably won't be blocked. So funny how YT uploads seem to come in waves. Anyway, I'll listen to Harri's now!
Harri, I got so much pleasure from watching you get into this raucous performance by Joe Cocker and his incredible backing band.
One of my all time favorite songs ❣️❣️❣️
Perhaps the ultimate showcase of Joe's inimitable talent. This is my favorite era of Joe Cocker. He had it so together musically and was at the height of his powers. He was a wonder, wasn't he?
Hugh Laurie did a surprisingly good rendition of this song!!😎😎😎😎
Love this song and Joe. Saw him in concert. It was great
Most excellent performance 😊
Joe Cocker is MONSTROUS!!!!! He (and the whole band) knock it out of the park everytime he sings and/or performs!!!! He’s like the male version of Janis Joplin. He feels it with every fiber of his body everytime he sings.
What an amazing voice, thank you
Love this song with unique vocals by Joe Cocker!! I first heard this song when it was featured in the film 9 1/2 Weeks starring Kim Basinger & Mickey Rourke! Tom Jones’ version is sexy, too! 🫠
Joe was a national treasure
Written by the great Randy Newman, who says that he wrote it as a young man to make fun of old creeps, but now that he's an old creep, he thinks differently about it :) You should really explore more of Newman's stuff, especially his early stuff, often deeply ironic, such as The Big One and Sail Away
Leave a tender moment alone.. Live.. Billy joel and Tootsie Thielemans 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I've seen Joe Cocker live a few times and it's always been a feast. He was with you from the first to the last song and you always had the feeling that he was really having fun. Thanks for sharing and best regards @all from Hamburg (Germany)
For a second I thought it was SRV on guitar... a great performance by Joe Cocker and the Sax was incredible.
He rocks this song.
I’ve seen him live once. His stage persona still moves me to tears
You’re great, I subscribed
Does anybody know the names of the members of the band? That saxophone player is magnificent.
One of my favorite songs, Joe is pretty calm while singing this. The scarf looks great on you, thanks for all your work Harri!
This entire album, One Night of Sin, that this song is from, is amazing! His best work, IMHO.
Speaking of Randy Newman, how about some tunes from Randy, I Love LA
🇨🇦🔥🔥🔥 🥇 🤗
🙂🙂🙂
The video of this song in 9 1/2 weeks can wake the dead! Kim Bassinger and Micky Roarke (before he had all the surgery when he was handsome and not a gargoyle like me...at least my gargoyleism is natural)
The absolute master of cover songs
This song was in a Mickey Rourke movie called "9 1/2 Weeks". Great pick Dave 💕💕💕
Yes, it was well suited to the movie. Thanks!
Best version of this song belongs to Joe, Tom Jones was great as well, but Joe is amazing.
Hallo Harri! Great channel and great music. Could you react to Ten Years after´s Love like a man (live). This would be fantastic!
He must of had a thing with hats. 😅🤣
Please, please, please do Joe Cocker singing "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress." He knocks it out of the park.
I believe that is SRV on the guitar. This sound track is on a movie called 9 and 1/2 weeks with Kim Bassinger and Mikey Rourke. She doesn a😊n excellent strip show for him. A hot, hot movie for sure.
When he gets to the title line I burst out laughing. You won't be staying. It's your body and your sex and your love & affection that I live for, and it means everything to me. But don't use it as a lure, because if you do and that wonderful thing you bring to our relationship ends once we're together, the chairs are on the table, you're out the door. And you already have your hat on. lol
I worked as a bouncer at a strip club in the 80's and there was one girl who used this song as her signature music. She really embodied the lyrics of the song as she shed her garments...very lithe and supple....I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
